So for those who don't know I have a hobby of collecting Transformers. I like the engineering that goes into these toys and I like the artistic quality of a well made figure. Today I got one in the mail I've been waiting on for months now. A figure of the Michael Bay version of Starscream but he transforms into the Red Baron's signature Fokker Dr.I
I decided to take a couple of pictures of this figure next to my other Michael Bay Starscream from the Studio Series line which is intended to be very screen accurate.

I cannot express how much I love that the company Toyworld, who made this figure, managed to get the movie Starscream look out of a radically different aircraft. This kind of engineering is what I love about Transformers.

Awesome! I have a Stegosaur Dinobot and one that is...a combination of a snapping turtle and a croc? My fave from the Michael Bay line is Bumblebee. One of my friends collects and really is into Transformers too. Nice figures are the best!

Spent some of my stimulus money to secure my copy but I think it's worth it. I wish I could buy up all the new Beast Wars figures in the Kingdom line but that's far too expensive heh. (:

Cool! I wanted to get into collecting Transformers ages ago when I was younger, but there were just too many to collect and it would've been pricy over time. I knew a friend that collected Transformers long, long ago back in high school. One Transformer that I really liked and was my favorite character was the Autobot named Jetfire. His character was practically a complete copy of the VF-1 Veritech from the Robotech cartoon series. Talk about copyright infringement. Jeez!

Aw Kobuk you should have seen when the Siege line came out a couple years ago they had a really sweet Jetfire figure. Only Jetfire I have is the movie version who turns into an SR-71 Blackbird. But speaking of Jetfire though, don't you like warships Kobuk?
The company Toyworld, who made my Starscream, they produce 3rd party transformers, basically very high quality knock offs that do legal gymnastics to get around selling figures. Anyway they released a Bay movie Jetfire who doesn't turn into any kind of aircraft but instead a warship.

It's available for preorder and not exactly cheap but hey, warship that turns into a giant robot. :D And he'd probably be cheaper than hunting down the Siege Jetfire or an original G1 Jetfire online. Food for thought.
