"Normal stuff now until we're reassigned." The handler said as he sighed and took some paperwork. He filled it out as they headed to the mechanic.

Killswitch inhaled a long breath, then let it out in a huff. "Affirmative. Discarding weapons." He stopped and a click could be heard from his weapons mounts before the weapons themselves dropped freely to the ground.

A mechanic quickly siezed the weapons and hauled them off to a location unknown. The handler handed the paperwork to another man who shook his head. "Those armor plates are expensive Stephen." The handler sighed and shook his head. "Well if the combat protocols loaded up faster and didn't take longer than 15 minutes we wouldn't have that problem."

Killswitch kept walking, knowing they were referring to what he did, but completely ignoring the fact. "Food is required."

Stephen stopped a bit and turned to Killswitch. "You know...I'm hungry too. How bout we get lunch?" He headed to the cafeteria and got some food before taking Killswitch to get his meat by the maintenance crew. He ate his meat himself as he took off his helmet, showing off dull orange fur of a bob tailed cat.

Killswitch began tearing into the slab of raw meat, a deep rumble coming from his chest; he was purring, surprisingly enough.

Stephen smiled as he pet the large cat machine thingy. "You're not so bad overall." His helmet buzzed a bit but since he wasn't wearing it he didn't hear anything.

Killswitch stopped purring as soon as he realized his handler was petting him, and flicked an ear in annoyance at the helmet's buzzing. "Comms."

Stephen quickly swallowed his food and put on his helmet again. He listened to it for a while and mumbled an affirmative. "Well...we gotta see the boss."

Killswitch stood, flipping the last part of the meat up into the air and catching it, then walked to the door to wait for his handler.

Stephen headed through the door to an elevator, he put in a code and waited for Killswitch to follow before heading up. His hand twitched worriedly as the numbers went closer and closer to one of the top floors. Soon enough the doors opened and they headed into a long hallway. "I want you to be quiet...I don't know what's gonna happen..." he waited for an answer before opening the heavy looking doors.

Killswitch walked in slowly and looked around, his sensors running high. He went over the whole room with his em scan, not only looking for life forms, but also electronic bugs which put off a recognizable amount of electromagnetic fluctuation.

Stephen took a deep breath and headed in, bracing himself for getting chewed out for something. The big man himself was standing by his windows, looking out to the city. "Stephen...how is our experiment operating?..." he asked casually, almost as if he was setting something up. Stephen nodded. "He's working just fine Mr. Logan sir, the combat protocols take a bit to load up and he seems antsy while that happens." Logan nodded and turned. "So no overall problems?" Stephen nodded again. "Mostly, he seems rather inflexible though in his thinking." Logan waved it off. "Trivial matters, those can be fixed easily enough." No bugs or plants were detected and judging by the casualness of Logan's speech he knew that very well.

Null Trace walks off from the cafe giving Christi a wave as he does so, composing an e-mail in his head praising how it is refreshing speaking to someone who is on pretty close to the same wavelength as himself. As he sent the e-mail, he still couldn't shake the feeling that she was a whole lot more than she seemed on the surface. He wandered through the business district to the industrial district and contemplated splicing into the network. He knew he needed to make a hacking run at some point, as although the true world lies in the the virtual, his meat body needed funds in order to sustain it's self and continue the spread of the good word of digital salvation.

Killswitch yawned and laid down, knowing well that they were talking about him. His tail flicked annoyedly when he was described as having inflexible thinking, but he otherwise gave no indication of being concerned with the conversation.

There were several of tge lower income areas around Trace. Meaning that many were more succeptable to faults in security but also that there was less to be made, the thought of hitting something more higher up crossed his mind but the danger increased with the potential reward.

Logan pondered all he heard and shook his head. "We'll need more data before we begin any official trial runs...but...maybe I could offer an upgrade." Logan said, a hint of danger in his voice. He began to decribe an experimental implant that allows silent communication by analysing thoughts, so far one of the most secure devices made to prevent hacking due to how it could potentially turn. Stephen wasn't sure if he was expected to answer yes or no. "What do you think sir?" He quickly asked. Logan laughed and shook his head. "Ask Killswitch, he's who you'll be communicating with."

Trish nodded at the Foreman. "Yeah, that's quite the leap in lost product." she thought for a minute "The robotic arm however...do any of your employees have robotic limbs? You never know when it's an inside job."

The foreman nodded. "Yeah, there's a bloke down by assembly but it's part of the job to hook into the controller. Another one in shipping, he reported the problem though." He thought some more and slowly spooe more. "I think...there's another guy, janitor or engineer, works over in the planning department for the products, smart guy, didn't like to hang around much but he's...odd to say the least."

Logan looked at Killswitch and nodded. "Hmmm...ok. we can keep working on it, you have 2 hours before soft trials begin in a lab setting. Dismissed." He turned and looked at his holographic screen of his computer as Stephen bowed out. "Come Killswitch." Stephen said as he nervously left.

Killswitch stood, flicking his tail in annoyance and shooting a glare at Logan. He turned and walked out of the room behind Stephen; he resented the idea of having someone share thoughts with him. Not only did he think he would find it distracting, any thoughts he had could be heard by Stephen; he didn't like it at all.

Null wasn't the kind to back away from a challenge, but he also knew that hitting something too large would put his ministry in jeopardy. As a philosophical exercise, he ran through listing of businesses to define at what point the business stopped being a noble pursuit of raising ones self and ones family or friends out of poverty, to that of creating strife and misery for it's workers and the world in general.

Pretty much he pulled a name out of a hat of some lesser known, but not small business and started looking for a place to sit while he spliced into a anonymous network connection.

The list popped up a few names but all had reasons, less pay and poorer working conditiins to provide needed medical treatment, a small bank that often collects debts agressively because too many default on the loans, but a small time security firm was rumored to sell info for a quick buck, but given that it specializes in security, it will be harder to actually get into.

Stephen gave a sigh of relief as they headed down. "That was close..." he muttered as he took off his helmet, clearly nervous.

The foreman nodded and quickly looked up the names. "The closest one is Mr. Johnson, the man in shipping I mentioned with the robotic arm. He knows people so ask him, I gotta go."

"I don't care about that." Stephen said as he leaned on the wall. "If he saw fit, he has the authority to force such a procedure, we just cought him at a good mood...there's so much fine print in the contracts that sneezing in the wrong place could fire me...or worse."
