I am a late comer here, and fandom in general.
Interesting that despite all the changes we experience as we age, some things stay the same.
Neat that you are still a fur. I suspect that it is something that doesn't die off easy for most of us.
I have no intentions of "not being a fur" since it is part of me.
I am sure if I was here as a kid, I would have been totally cringe.
(says the odd looking wolf/gsd/guy/thing)

Non technical people promising others a solution is near, when no one knows what the task at hand is, or how to solve it.
Kobuk, as far as the "got a light" thing... I have often wondered if it is a hook to engage in more social discourse?
Like lighting a cigarette leads to talking, leads to going to a bar to drink IDK. Who knows.

Any time I go someplace, there's usually somebody who says "Hey, man. You got a light?"
Are smokers that dumb that they don't know how to carry a lighter or book of matches with them when they want to light up a cig?
So I guess instead they feel the need to beg or panhandle off of somebody else?

Because it's a place run by humans and even in the most well meaning and developed places any system built and designed by humans is prone to the same temptations and abuses, corruptions screw-ups as any other place.

Coming onto this forum that I haven't been on since 2008. At least that's going from my last post on here. This is such a time capsule for me.
I almost forgot this place existed, but luckily I remembered and by some miracle remembered my login eventually. It's been so long.
I can really tell I've grown since then. Still a furry, of course, but I'm a lot more mature now than I used to be, that's for sure.
I think we all can look back on our past, seeing that we were cringe and edgy at some point. Lol. Or maybe that's just me. I dunno.
