Ok, furtopia offers a great hosting service, as well as a kick tail forum...so how about...AN E MAIL SERVICE! ^-^ Furries gather round, MAIL CALL!
Just a thought...^-^

It's been suggested before. We used to offer a e-mail service called "Spam Shield". You could sign up for a Furtopia e-mail address that was VERY agressive on spam (it put mail in your regular mail box).
However we're waiting on a hardware upgrade that will be eventualy comming. As well as e-mail (reliable and long term like other Furtopia services) would require a dedicated staff to deal with abuse reports, throw away accounts, etc.
The idea has been tossed around and parhaps may be on the plate before too long. But right now we're focused on upgrading the core features (like adding artist watch, advanced search, etc).

Sounds cool to me.

Very nice!
WhiteShepherd, is it possible to have a Furtopia address "whitelisted" (no incoming spam filter) - I find them trigger-happy
Plus, I gotta Spamcop account to feed

Well the way the old spam shield worked was on a "whitelist" responce. If you were not on the whitelist and sent in a e-mail it mailed you a confirmation e-mail to confirm a legit address. Once they responded (automated spam bots can't) they were "whitelisted" as a legit e-mail. It the year it ran it worked 100% at filtering spam. It was actually a program I wrote a few years back. But I took it offline becouse I was uncomfortable with the chance of a spammer using a spoofed e-mail address and therefore a person getting a unsolicited verfication e-mail from us.
But now that I think of it if a spammer spoofs a e-mail address that address will be flooded with angery replies from all over let alone our neutral verfication question.
