Outing at Bay Beach amusement park and wildlife sanctuary
« on: May 23, 2010, 09:44:49 am »
Hey all, I know last time we did this, Itico and I actually didn't find any of you at the park (I confess, we were running late), but since I am in Green Bay, WI pretty regularly for work, let's try this again. Anyone who wants to meet up at Bay Beach, either at the amusement park (opens next weekend) or the wildlife sanctuary (open year round), just reply with what day works for you.

With the construction on so many of the off ramps, I have been coming into town via the ramp that takes a person near Bay Beach. Great to get in a nice walk at the wildlife sanctuary before starting work anyway  :)

Here are the Web sites with info about the two places
http://baybeach.org/
http://www.baybeachwildlife.com/

The wildlife sanctuary is free of charge. Ride tickets at the amusement park are something like 30 cents each, and most rides take only 2 or 3 tickets.

Not 5 min before reading this Narei and I were discussing taking our daughter to the amusement park next time he is home! (We live in gb, actually about a mile from the parks) he will next be home June 7th and 8th and if you will be around we would love to meet up with you! We have already been to the wildlife sanctuary a few times this spring and had fun.

Sounds good. We will be in town on June 8th. Would late morning (10 or 11 am) work for you?

Narei pointed me to this thread. While the activities sound good, I probably wouldn't be able to make it. I don't own or drive a vehicle due to bad eyesight, so transportation is a problem. Also, I need at least a 2 week advance notice of taking time off from work. But anyway, Have fun you guys, and be sure to post some pics. :)

That should be fine, 11 would prolly be better. None of us are really morning people and Kira gets downright cranky if you wake her up before shes ready, but 11 should be doable. Where would you like to meet up?

11 is good for us. How about we meet up outside the concessions building.
