AC was my second con and other than for the fact that I fursuit it would have been fine as a first con- I did Morphicon first simply to get an idea of what to expect and what would be expected of a fursuiter. For just enjoying the sites and activities AC is fine for a first con.
You'll meet lots of furs even at a big con like AC, so business cards with your name and e-mail are a great help as is a pocket notebook to write everyones names and room numbers down on. Bringing your own food and keeping it in the hotel room makes it easier also, you won't be longing for places to eat and wondering how you're going to get there.
You will get scritched by furs you've never met, it may feel wierd the first time but you'll enjoy it after that- just be ready to say enoughs enough if the scritcher doesn't stop (this doesn't happen as often as you hear, but once a con has been my experience so far)The biggest thing to do is just have fun!
As for being in your early teens, you'll find lots of young furs at AC- tho do realize that anyone under 18 must either be with a parent or have a notorized statement from thier parents giving them permission to attend. This is the rule at almost any con tho, not just AC.
