Title: "A Real Stand-Up Guy" and other stories in Allasso 3
Post by: Ryffnah on April 25, 2014, 03:21:29 am
The third issue of the small furry e-zine Allasso just came out -- Allasso, Volume 3: Storge (http://pinkfoxpublications.net/vol-3-storge/).  It's available to read for free online, and it has a lot of really good stories in it. My favorites included "Patchwork Selkie" -- a fairly classic selkie story; "Cold Scent" -- the story of a police dog dealing with losing his sense of smell; and "On the Surface" -- a story about an orca whale trying to bridge the difference in cultures between the ocean and the land.

It also has my own story, A Real Stand-Up Guy (http://pinkfoxpublications.net/a-real-stand-up-guy/), which was inspired by trying to imagine Stephen Colbert as a pug dog.

Now this... sounds interesting! ^^
How did you end up with Colbert as a pug?

By the way, there's a sequel to this story -- a novella called "When a Cat Loves a Dog" -- and it's available for free right now, while the Ursa Majors are open for nominations.  So, if you want to read more about Topher and Lashonda, here's the link:

The novella, short story, and, in fact, all the stories in Allasso 3 are all eligible for the Ursa Majors this year which are open until the end of February.
