Vindicate (Real story I'm writing.)
« on: January 09, 2012, 11:26:16 pm »
Leaves crunch beneath the young wolf's paws as he walks through the forest on his way to his town. He reaches the town, and see that there is smoke rising up from his family's house.
Panic swells up in his chest. He runs through his town, diving through the alleys and neighbor's back yards in an attempt to get to his house faster. He reached the beginning of his street, and saw several fire trucks all around his front yard. He ran down the street and skidded to a halt and looked at his house, windows shattered and smoke rising out of them. An ambulance pulled up a few moments after and he looked at them as they pulled out a strecher, and went to the front of the fire truck. He followed them and saw something that made his stomach lurch. His grandfather, horribly burnt in areas. He once brown fur was covered in soot and some of it was burnt to a crisp. The young wolf sways on his paws and falls to his knees and burys his face in his hands.

Never give in be yourself, never give into what people say. If you do you'll be nothing but a pawn in the game of society. If someone isn't like you, don't hate, just be happy for them, no matter what.

Peace can only be obtained by the people of the world wanting it and all wanting it the same way. Not one wanting it one way and the other wanting another way. We all have to view peace the same.

His grandfather spoke, with a voice broken with age. "Parents.....Still......insi-" That was all his grandfather could say before the  fire in his eyes faded, never to be lit again.

The young wolf quickly jumped to his feet at his grandfather's words. He ran towards the house and ran in, looking around for any signs of his parents. One of the beams crashed into ground, sending fire and ash in all directions. He raised his arm to protect his face. The hot air burned his throat as he breathed in and out. Something moved in the doorway nearby. The wolf turned to face the door and saw his mother crouching beside her husband. Their clothes were burnt, and covered in ash. He looked at him mom, and said"Get out! I'll-" He stopped, coughed horribly and then said, "I'll get dad!" She ran out, of the room and out of the house. The young wolf tossed his father over his shoulder and started to run out of the house.  Another beam fell, sending a ball of fire onto his shirt. He knocked it off of his shirt, as soon as the heat got to him. He jumped over the beam, and ran out of the house. He didn't make it all the way to the fire trucks and ambulance.

He swayed, and fell onto the sidewalk. His father slid off his shoulder, and into the grass. The young wolf's head slammed into the pathway, pain coursing through him. He layed there as blood trickled out of a gash fromj falling. His vision slowly faded into black as people swamed around him. He opened his eyes, but didn't respond when the doctors and nurses were standing around him. His vision faded off again. He woke up, and looked around.

He stood up, and fell to the ground, his head swirrling. "Whoa....What did they give me...?" He gained he strength back, and stood up, leaning on the wall. There was a cheetah wearing a long light brown robe, standing in the door way. "I wish to talk to you..." The cheetah said.  "I'm Shadow..." The cheetah streched his paw out to tghe young wolf, and shook it.

"I'm Jack..." The wolf said, and shivered. Something was different about this cheetah. Jack looked around and said, "W-where are my parents..."
"They...died....last night... I'm here to take you into my house hold..." Shadow said, and sat down in a chair. "As soon as you're well enough to leave we will."
