Beyond the Call of Duty
« on: April 13, 2012, 08:08:34 pm »
basically this is my story concept. a friend suggested i post my story up.

The time is 1923 and the world is divided the entire western hemisphere is inhabited by the human race while the entire eastern hemisphere is inhabited by anthro. The protagonist was just born and his family are westerners and his father got involved with a crime boss and owes them. A few years later at family reunion , the protagonist is now 4, and life is going to get hard The crime boss is tired of waiting for payment and takes out the whole family while they were at the beach. The protagonist was shot in the chest and fell in the water. He floated for days until a trading vessel from the eastern side found him and saved him. He did not die because the bullet went through cleanly and missed his vitals.he was raised by anthros and nobody knew where he came fro m. He was taught privatley so noone would discover him and "deport" him. By the time he was 18 the world was at war. He signed up for the anthro army but face difficulties because of his difference. But little did he know he would change the tide of war forever.

First person point of view. We learn about his past by him explaining how he was found and what he could remember. He is picked on by his comrades because he is not anthro and is forced to fight in many major battles and is always the first in. This story is about survival in cruel and gruesome times. His couragous acts leads him to eternal glory for saving not only his own but an entire armys soul.

tell me what you guys think of the concept. i will post the parts of the story later.

"It all started just a few hours ago...the squad was out on routine patrol across the plains...radio contact started to fail, all we could here were terrible screams...amongst teh screasm and gun-fire,we made-out one cry,'They're coming...they're...everywhere!'."

sounds like a very interesting story. What I want to know is the protagonist's thoughts while he was being taught by the anthros. I will read it once you start posting it. Best of luck to you  :D
