Classic book club interest?

Just a floating idea that I had for anyone else who is an admirer of classical literature like myself. Who would be interested in an arrangement similar to a book club. I have a few Classical Books of many that I have access to for reading, and anyone else can read one if they so like, Then you could use this thread to discuss what you found most interesting and which points and feelings etc, that the author is trying to get across to the reader, etc.

If anyone wants to participate, There is no time limit and you can choose whichever book you would like to read, and however many

All of these books should be widely available on the internet for free legally as well.

I have currently nearly finished Oliver twist and Crime and punishment, Two of my favorites.

The Three Musketeers, By Alexandre Dumas.

What I found interesting is how little people have changed.
Greed, adultery, war, all bad things like that. Also some good
things the Musketeers showed. Love, pride, and caring about
others, even their Lackeys were treated well.

Of course every good book needs a antagonist. The cardinal
made a good one along with a female that would do anything
for his favor.

I best stop here. Don't want to give away the plot. It's a good
book for anyone that likes adventure stories.

I have just finished reading Black Beauty by Anna Sewell, I guess this book could possibly be classed as furry ^_^ as an autobiography of a horse told by the horse himself in the days of old. The book is a very interesting take on the idea of an autobiography and is well written with the language differences not too hard for a beginner to classics, but still in keeping with the classic feel.

I also think that it is a quite touching story and I must say that I grew just a little attached to one or two of the characters, I especially enjoyed the objective that the author set herself which was to inform people, more importantly riders and drivers, of her time of how to properly treat and care for their horses so that they both may benefit as highly as each are able to from working life.

Overall it is a very lovely story with a good, strong message and a unique take on autobiographies, if you like the idea of the autobiography of a horse from 1877 then I highly reccomend it ^_^

I am reading the 2001, 2010, 2061, and 3001 the final odyssey books by Arthur C. Clark.  
Interesting stories of space flight in the solar system. Also learning to deal
with the realization of other intelligent beings in the galaxy.
He was a fine sience fiction writer.

Also I am reading "War of the Worlds" by H.G. Wells.
A interesting story about people dealing with an alien
invasion of earth. The story is told through the eyes
of an astronomer, and his brother. So the Martians
and their vehicles are described as a astronomer of the
time might do with little or no understanding of aliens and
their crafts.
