Please remember folks to keep your MyMoody also PG. Many furs have been asked to remove sayings and such that do not fall in the PG catagory.

Thanks.

Also be sure to not make your mood so long that it goes over the length limit. ^^

Just curious, but what is the length limit? I probably won't have to worry about this since I have no plans on getting a MyMoody.com sig.

The size limit for signature- from the rules
Quote
4. Signatures are permitted, of course. They are regulated by any of the above applicable guidelines. Images are permitted to be used in signatures, however they must be a maximum of 240 pixels wide and 120 pixels in height. If your image exceeds these limits, it will like be removed from your signature. Why is this done? It is done for the sake of modem users' bandwidth since they have enough to download as it is with the board pages and related graphics. Additionally, it becomes very ungainly to see a large picture repeated several times down the page that contains any given thread. I recommend using the larger image as your 'personal photograph' in your profile instead.

Folks, please remember that the 240 x 120 is for all pics in your sig combined! So if you add a Moody then you need to remove or resize any other pics in your sig.

Those on dail-up do not need to have thier page loading times doubled and tripled simply due to large images that have absolutely nothing to do with the thread itself and are mearly for decoration.

Yes, in many areas (over half of the country in fact) it's all that is avalible. The only high speed option for many of our members is thru satellite it that requires a huge outlay of cash (over $600 and over $50 a month in fees) and is a non-option for most.

This is why we keep Furtopia user friendly for all members.

anyone on dial up that does not want slow download times can improve their service by clicking...

"Your Control Panel" at the top of the page,

then click, "Account Options" in the left menu bar,

then select, "No" for any or all of the following three options,

Dial up members shouldn't be forced to turn off their options for signatures. Members should be comsiderate and watch sizes for the images they post to make sure they are within the rules.

Most forums have a tickbox with 'Display signatures in threads' label. 56k people should wisely untick that.

Solved.

there is a post on them in General furry.

Serfox, as I said before, it is not fair to users with slower connections to have to disable their signatures because other members can't be conciderate enough to fallow the rules.

No, the simple solution is the one we have- Keep all sigs to 240 x 120 at all times

This keeps things fair for everyone, not just a select few simply so that threads can be filled with images that have nothing to do with the thread on hand

Yes, I realize that this is unfair to those who wish to fill the entire page with thier spam images every time they post, but we do have to draw the line somewhere and this is the rule that has been in effect since before you or I joined.

Sorry, only just found this... ''

Just to help you out, you can now see how large your MyMoody is undernieth the preview image when editting.

It should look something like this:

You should be ok with 2 or 3 words. If its over the websites/forums size restrictions, please make it shorter! I don't want to get into trouble and niether do you... ':dead:'

I was not saying that dialup users MUST turn off sigs.  I was simply trying to bring it to everyone's attention in case they were not aware of the option.

My personal view is that there should be a filesize limit also, but it is up to the mods/staff to set the rules.
