I was planning on going, its only like 20 mins from me or something. Than I realized I would be at RIT than so it'd be more like 7 hours from me. I'll figure it out when it gets closer.

Hey Kouga , what kind of things can one expect to see hear and do there since you were there last year??  I have never been to any cons before. I jumped at the first opportunity to go to one near me.  It looks like a blast. All of the pics I have seen contain nothing but people smiling and having a good time. The 4 hour drive is nothing to me.  Any info anyone could give me would greatly apprecianted. Thank you.

It was smaller and more intimate than my second con, and there seemed to be more derilicts i could yell at while smoking outside, the geek factor at FWA was higher. I dont know, i just sat in the lobby and looked at everyone, astounded, because it was my first con. It was just a good time, and people seemed freindlier. I didnt go to any of the panels, so i dont know what Raemuz is talking about, but I can imagine...

PM me if you want more info, but i rarley attend panels and the like. Maybe im not the best person to ask ':dead:'

But I had a good time none the less.

I was there last year too...in fact, Kouga shared the hotel room with us.  '<img'>  It was loads of fun too...I had the time of my life...I didn't do any of the panel stuff but there was tons too do...just felt a bit drawn out though...some of the fur suits there were great...and according to some reliable sources 2005 will be taking up the entire hotel...

Yes, it was fun. And I missed most of the first day due to sudden car trouble that I tried to fix in vain.

I dunno. I've already made plans for AnthroCon. So we'll see what's happening after that.

Definetly a good time. If there's an event there you don't like, then don't go to it.

considering this is the closest con to where I live, being only 30 min away, I may just decide to go.  If I do go, it would be my first convention (that's not record-collecting related)..

that would be a challenge for me to get permission, but hey, it'll be a day after my birthday, so maybe I can go.

I'm seriously thinking about going this year if I can either convince my parents, drive there myself, or get my BF to go with me.

It also depends if it falls on a school night or not. (Even though I have no problems becoming mysteriously ill the day after, or before. hehehe....)
