Sucked from the station Nevwyn floats near the centre of a cloud debry that is slowly drifting away from the station. Having blacked out from the shockwaves of nearby explosions he is unable to do anything to save him as he drifts deeper in to the void. His only hope is one that the station survives this ordeal in time to get a rescue vessel to him before his air is depleted, his radio beacon a tiny blip on a screen far to cluttered to see him.

Several chunks of shrapnel gouged into his left arm as the fighter took a heavy blow. Growling a bit from the hit, Nyskall checked the damage quickly. A few pieces of metal stuck out, causing blood to flow down his arm. Ignoring it, he shifted the ship's position and got the two fighters off his back.

Taking the chance to check his surroundings, Nyskall noticed the strange ship moving closer to his fighter.

"Just what are they doing?" he thought as more fighters came on route towards him.

Engaging yett another enemy figher, he was about to hit his mark when the pain in his left arm knocked his fire off balance. The enemy noticing this took the chance to inflict more damage upon his craft.

"Damn..my eye....." Glancing around with only half his vision he knew he wouldn't get out of this alive if he stayed any longer...

There was so much to be senced. This Similar mind, the distressing cries of minds, the pain of others. This was so much, not to mention the scratching of the attackers. Who are they? What were they doing here? Over the millions of life. My creators never have told me of these minds, Nor do the more ancient spaceways have any knowledge of their passing. They are new.

The fighter which Jadnar had told me to stay close looked very damaged, it wasn't going to be able to take too much more. Reaching out with one of my appendages, I grabbed onto it's small hull, and brought it to me, opening my body I pulled it within, excreting chemicals to cool its very hot engine, and to shut it down. I closed myself quickly, and re-established the barrier. I then senced another mind, and a faint signal. It was among the debries blown from the large metal structure, the one they call a station. I pushed my self towards that direction.

My smaller self still within the planet's atmopshere, had defintatly found the similar. Thou it speaks of non-sence. What is this about dusting off? No matter, This similar wanted my help, I shall give it, no matter what it speaks of. With the now established contact I was able to zero in on it. I found an opening wide enough for my body, which happened to be in the same area of the similar. Coming down I extended several appendages and started to climb down the sides of the buildings, using them to slow me, before I came to a soft landing upon the hard surface. I could see the similar. It was nothing like myself, yet here it is, with a similar mind.

~Come Similar, we must hurry, I can not stay long~

Back up in the vacume of space my bigger body had found the mind, with the radio signal, This was going to be easier to grab, it was so small. I already held two vessels, and their occupents, I felt so slow, I hoped the occupents could get out soon, so I can expel there metal craft. Reaching out, I grabbed the limp figure and pulled in, Seeing as it was just about the same size as Jadnar, I brought it into the same room as him. Perhaps when Jadnar re-awakes he can help this person.

Alex watched as the kalga's smaller self appraoched. A little un-nerved by it, he closed his eyes as it drew him onboard. Sitting clutching his knees he looked back across to the stranger.

"W-where is this thing taking us", he asked his voice wavering slightly. He'd been in this postion before, after his expulsion from Serifa-5 several systems away from his current position.

He was only a pup at the time, but knew it all too well. He shook his head quickly to stop the memories flooding back. Alex didn't want to remember the past.

He slammed his fist hard on the floor of the vessel, and fell calm once more. "dammit...dammit it all to hell", he whispered silently to himself.

( OOC sorry been a little tied up of late jadnar with my mom, If you get stuck again by all means use my character as long as he stays close to form I don't mind oh and no you can't go make him go for a walk out side without a helmet on  '<img'>  ':p' )

Babel was starting too feel woozy the lack of life support had already kicked in.He had almost reached the stage of blacking out and could no longer see what was happening outside. He didn't see the large ship approch or the tenticle like stucture grasp his ship.Inside he felt something bump the hull.
" ugh darn it all thats it then".
He waited short while until he felt a second bump but this wasn't like a wepons this was his ship being docked.
"grrr there gonna capture me hey well we'll soon see about that hey"
Babel checked the read out's the atmosphere outside was safe
. He unbuckled himself from his seat and made his way out of the shuttle. After a few second he began to recover his wits. Bable took out a small cylinder from his pocket with a quick shake of hand it extended too a long metal fighting staff. The fisrt thing he saw was that this was no ordinary ship. He could tell that it was some bio-mechanical structure. Useing his latest instilation from the army for his arm Babel scanned the area. As he was doing this he noticed another craft in the hangar alongside his.
"hmm best let sleeping dogs lie for the moment."
Cautioously he headed along a passadgeway out of the hangar. All the time examning his suroundings. He spotted something that resembeld an acsess panel and tried to use it as soon as he touched it he recived a faint shock. A voice then eminated from somewhere around him.
" Follow"
With this a hatchway behind him, slid open nearly giveing him a heartattack.
" Seems like they know im here no point skulking around anymore".
He boldly steped through the door and headed to what he presumed too be the control room of the ship. Babel now felt a little confused he would have thought those that attacked and captured him would have least keept him locked up.
"Well there mistake"
He chuckled under his breath.
He reached the last door the voice returned
"enter"
"Well I may not win but Im gonna give em a few bruises to remember me by"
He prepared too burst though the door
" here goes nothing"
With that he flung himself inside.

Slowly opening his one eye, the other still badly hurt, Nyskall sat up in his seat. Slightly dazed he shook his head, and a sharp pain in his left arm woke him up completely.

"Must've got knocked from that hit...where am I?" Glancing around outside his ship, he noticed another ship inside what appeared to be a hangar. Taking his big sword from behind him, Nyskall got out of the damaged fighter and jumped onto the ground.

"Cursed shrapnel...." he muttered. "...at least there doesn't appear to be anyone here..."

Resting the blade on his right shoulder, he began to explore his surroundings. Eyeing a passage out of the hangar, he headed for it, sword now drawn, ready for whatever he might run into...

The noises within the room brought me to consciencesness. The first thought that lept into my head was, what happened? this was quickly followed by the memories of Kalga's splitting, and my sensory overload, which must of resulted in my black out. Looking around I saw a space suited figure, and a Bear type of anthro with a cybernetic arm, looking like he was about ready to do combat. What ever that had happened, he must not be orientated very well, Kalga must not of told him.

"Sir, Please calm down, your with friendlies. We've been picking up surviors from the station, your one of them. The Kalga had sensed a disturbence in the space ways, we had to come, and with good reason. Please don't be alarmed, the Kalga is a safe place for now."

I slowly stepped towards the suited figure, and slowly pulled off its helmet. If anything who ever it was would need fresh air, as suit control panel was reading a red on the O2 levels. I'm not much of a medical proffesional, so I let him stay on the ground, which was probubly safer till he woke up.

"Kalga, have we picked anyone up, besides these two in here?"

~Yes, we have what would appear to be a very well armed dragon type of creature skulking around my holding organ. I shall guide him here, he is badly damaged, in need of attention.~

A spot on the wall opened near to us, within was several items, ones of which I had only seen once. All were organic in nature. There was the Dermal Acclerator, the internal repair tool, and god forbid the use of the reseter. They weren't pleasent items, but if anything, it beats staying in a hospital bed for several weeks.

An avari did not need to be fully enlightened to know that a dark cloud had formed.  The ancients were practically screaming in their minds.

Back at the Monastery, Navitania was directing prayer.  All over Eravia, the avari were seating themselves where they were, closing their eyes and entering a deep meditation; two million minds all searching for the same answer.  Terastas joined them once he had noticed others in the Eravian launch pad doing the same.  He knew something very important was happening, but he knew not what.  More troubling, why had the ancients not spoken to him?

He set that aside for the moment and joined his race in meditation.  He remained motionless, felt his entire body go numb, and opened his mind.

Across Eravia, two million avari all whispered the same prayer at once.  Only an avari could truly pronounce it properly, but it translates to this:

"Spirits of the departed, guide that which is pure to safety."

Anyone then in the presence of the Kal'Tak would have been able to see a shimmering blue light, a spiritual beacon coming from Eravia.  Even with the entire avari race praying to them, so long as they were nowhere near the avari that powered them, all they could do was try to guide them closer.

Trustor felt quite exhausted but recovering some composure turned his canine ears perked at the question feeling a little scared himself but trying not to show it, “I do not know where we are going sir.”  “But this Kalga saved us from certain death though I do not know why.”, Trustor continued, “This Kalga is talking to me in a telepathic wave pattern found in Karathian BEFUs that is supposed to be match proof.”

It was hard trying for Trustor to hold everything together against these attacks and stay conscious.  But Trustor thought what it meant to save a life of for a fellow soldier and to save his life.  Though tired and hurting Trustor had to say this. Closing his eyes Trustor thought, “Thank you Kalga for saving my life.”, and then released conserving his energy.

Feeling more curious and a need to keep his mind active Trustor got the courage to stand on his own two legs as he made his way to a wall and taking out his medical scanner. “This is really neat!”, Trustor exclaimed as his tail began to wag getting a little lost in the canine curiosity, “The genetics in these cells are three phase gene coded utilizing organic and non within the same loop.”  “I don’t think I’ve ever seen a documented sequence this complex before.”, Trustor almost grinned before turning back to the canine and giving him a soft friendly smile, “Oh by the way my given identity is Trustor A-11b Karathian field medic and surgeon class 4.”  Trustor paused for a moment thinking as painful and confusing events flashed before him in his thoughts, “Then before I came here, I.. I guess I was lost....”

My Smaller self had taken in the smaller beings, the similar within me. I learnt of his name, Trustor. I had never heard of this one. The Karathian? These people are well known by the Space Ways, they take and geneticly modify creatures to their whim. Could this Trustor be a result of their meddling? Perhaps there is more to it then what we've seen.

~Trustor and other creature, I am now creating a psycic barrier around both my smaller self and my bigger self, this will relive the stress on your mind. You can halt your mind blocking abilities.~

Moving my smaller self towards my larger self I senced something new, A portal perhaps? Maybe I can pass through it, without straining my self with a burst.

I saw my selves now, both of them could see each other. I could then hear the voices, wispers, the Eravia. The Space ways knew these people to be both a spritual, and powerful race. they had grown quiet over the merhaks. Perhaps I can find out.

I then spoke to all the minds.
~Creatures, I will be melding my two parts. The ones of the smaller self shall be taken to the others. I will then go to a portal, created by the Eravia.~

Once the passage was sealed, Auger Command was notified of the delay. To which the captain replied, "Let me guess, it has something to do the fox who just left my ship."  Vernon quickly decided he should get to the planet surface before the delay is cleared up. And since he had little other choice, he just stood there waiting for the elevator to return.

OOC: Just a slight correction: The race is actually called the Avari.  Eravia is just the planet where they were exisled to after their original planet was taken over.  Its the Avari, or more prescisely, their ancestors that are reaching out to them.  '<img'> END OCC

IC:
The elders, spirits of deceased avari, spoke in return to the Kalga.  They rarely spoke with words, more like singing, resonating tunes that either soothed or seethed depending upon the purity of whom they spoke.  Eravia, the planet on which the Avari resided, however, was quite a distance away.  A portal could not be provided.  But a slipstream...

Terastas whispered a prayer during his meditations, as did many other Avari on the planet:
"Elders, guide them home on azure wings."

The beacon faded, and a slipstream began to form in its place.

Babel retracted the staff and eyed the person infront of him.
*Well he seem's too be in the driveing seat at the moment hmm dosen't seem too mean any harm tough* He thought too himself. *Best be on the safe side though*. Babel checked the chage in his arm it was full a little insurance he thought.
At this point the character who had taken him in seemed too be in the process of docking another ship.
Babel looked round well now this is quite a ship although he had seen this sort befor this was quite an impressive type. Babel casualy survayed those in the room,
" Well now quite an intresting little gathering we have here"
he directed himself at the figure who had first greeted him".
" Im gratefull for the help don't think im not but just who are you n what you doing out here and what in the blue blazes was that shooting contest out there all about huh?"
Babel had always disliked two things magic and being in the dark about something he always needed a handel on everything.
" mm sorry I Im just kind of alergic to being shot and there was a fair bit of shooting going on out there"
He stepped back and waited for a reply, as he did he was aware that there where more on the way than those in the room already the scanner on his arm was picking up more people.
Companys comming he thought.

Alex eased up as Trustor gave him a warm smile. He dropped his guard and the grip on his survival knife. He stood finding it only fitting to introduce himself.

"Well it's very nice to meet you Trustor. I'm Alex, Civilian class 2, from the Serifa system....but I'm sure you know how bad things have got after the resource crash".

He skitted away from going too deep into the subject, but it had been so long since he had talked to anyone. He stood gazing at the wall as Trustor examined the hull of this peculiar vessel.

"I guess you could say I've been pretty lost myself"

I turned to the bear with the medical equipment in my hands, "I am Jadnar, Friend and Companion of Kalga, the very vessel of which you stand in now. It is organic in origion as you may have concluded by now. The Kalga senced a distrubance in the space ways, and we had to come. We don't know who they are, but they are strong, both in force and psycics abilities. The Kalga has never heard of this race, much less do the spaceways know of them, at least that is what Kalga says. The Kalga will be combining again, with it's parts, absorbing back together, I'll be able to explain as soon as we can leave. We have two new people in the smaller part of Kalga, and 1 in the Holding Organ, who is in great need of medical attention, so if you'll excuse me, I must see to him."

With that I walked out of the room, I had no particular care if they fiddled with the controls, Kalga would be able to keep them from doing anything.

Walking to the holding organ, I Found the figure, It was a dragon of sorts, more of an anthro dragon.

"Sir, Please do not be alarmed, you are in friendly territory. I'm here to help you, your fighter was damaged, We were able to salvage your fighter and you. I'm here with medical equpment, I can heal you."

Trustor smiled as he cocked one ear towards Alex listening as he extrapolating data from his scanner like a eager pup.  Trustor turned towards Alex with a smile looking him over, “Well met Alex from Serifa. Under conditions such as these I’m glad your alright.”  Trustor thought on Alex’s question, “I believe I do recall a downturn in the economy in that area your cluster.  My unit along with others was briefly called to nearby Tarzine to reinforce security in a Karathian trading treaty there. We did not see the huge influx of refuges there as other systems. But the Karath cluster is very protective of their economy. Myself I am from Karath. Though I do not get much news.  Serving my clustor knowledge is given on a need to know baisis.”.

Trustor looked back to his scanner, “Though I do not believe this “being” Kalga is of Karathian manufacture as I first surmised.  We do share a similar neural wave pattern common to Karathian genetics.”,  Trustor looked down to his scanner, “The neural wave is the same yet the genetics that house the pathways are defiantly non-Karathian designed life.”  Trustor felt a wave or relief, “It appears Kalga is perhaps benevolent towards us Alex.  It has just alleviated the attack against my mind.”

Seeing a figure step out in the area that Nyskall was currently standing, he held his sword at a combat stance.

"Sir, Please do not be alarmed, you are in friendly territory. I'm here to help you, your fighter was damaged, We were able to salvage your fighter and you. I'm here with medical equpment, I can heal you."

The dragon's one eye scanned this new creature who seemed to be friendly, but Nyskall wasn't too sure. Holding the sword for a few moments more, he lowered it.

"..........."

Nyskall did not say a word, but he gave the look that would allow him to help.

Seeing the Dragon's gesture, I knew that this may be a hesitent alliance. But I had to gain his trust, this one. Perhaps saving him from the swarms wasn't enough. Perhaps reparing him, would help pursuade him.

Approaching him slowly I held up my hands with the instruments in them, to show that I ment no harm. Bending down to place the items on the ground, I Took one of them and held it out, to allow this Dragon Creature to examine it.

"It is Organic in Nature, but extremly useful and can heal you very quickly, its an  internal repair tool," I described to him. I'd rather use diplomatic means here then attack him with the tools, "It may be a bit painful, but it beats having to wait for the wounds to heal over time. All I'll have to do is attach it near the wound. It'll then send programed Nanites to repair the damaged tissue, using the DNA it aquires from the nearby cells."

Taking the object I slowly placed the small object onto the side of the dragon's face, near to the damage incured there.

"Like I said, it'll be painful, but It'll be feeling alright afterwards. And you should regain vision very quickly."

His feet pound the metal gangway as he scarpered, dammit why hadn't he remembered the secondary security sweeps.  His head was pounding now, the bloody thing had given him a glacning blow before he had managed to disconnect and as he ran everything seemed to swirl slightly, pusling lights, blue, red and green in front of his eyes, but he did his best to concentrate, very aware of the feet behind him.

He scowered his surroundings looking for a way to get out of here faster.  He spotted something and dived for a hole in the lower part of the wall.

"STOP!"

They shouted

"Yeah right" Zairith mummered to himself as he slammed a piece of metal in the hole, it should hold them off for a few minutes, not long, but hopefully long enough for him to keep going.  He crawled groping his way in the dark his night vision was useless with the multi coloured lights flashing in front of him.  The tubes suddenly split, he had to think...where was he? which way was the ship? he chanced it and moved down the right tube, up down, left right.  It felt like miles occasionally there was the odd shot in the tube, but it was never THAT close or in the right direction.  As he got nearer to where he was sure the docking bay was the pressure in his head started to ease and he could feel his witts return and the thrill he always craved, he felt more alive when he was on the run, felt that ANYTHING was possible, he was the boss, he was the one the guys never caught.  The thoughts continued as he dived into his small ship.

"Let's move" He said to the ship.

"Docing clamps still engaged, I'm unable to take off."

Zairith smashed back in his seat thinking, he could feel the pounding returning to his temples and suddenly realised that he was bleeding delicately from his left cheek.  He smashed his fist into his clawed palm and scrambled out of the ship.  This was getting too close.

"STOP, or we'll open fire."

Sirens began to sound, he slapped small chips against the clamps holding his ship in place, shots whizzed past him making his fur stand on end.

"Geez guys don't you have a sense of humour?"

He said as the door closed to the ship.

"Initiate boom boom program."

The ship lurched as one by one the chips wirelessly exploded and the docking clamps were released.

"LETS GO"

"Destination?"

"Anywhere but here"

"Unspecified location leaving hostile territory."

A voice came through the speakers.

"Stop your vessel or we will have no other choice but to shoot."

Zairith clicked his tongue.

"Computer what are the power levels?"

"45% Available."

He nodded

"Lets go cold turkey, turn off the thrusters and whack the engine online take us out of here, using the Jump method."

"This is an unadvisable course of action Zairith." The computers cool voice said through the speakers.

"Staying here is an unadvisable course of action, now please..let's go."

The ship lurched and he heard the warning, tasting blood he put his clawed hand to his mouth, he had bitten into his tongue, he swore profusely, the computer going thrtough damage.  Another lurch.

"GO!"

is all he could say, before everything went white....

He sighed with releif as he watched the ship explode, JUST in time...The computer had managed to find a ship that had been passing within distance, he wondered where this ship was headed...he knew where he wanted to go, he had to get this info back to his bossess...

OOC: Sorry, blah post '<img'> I'm not always this bad I promise.

"I'm kinda getting tired of watching the skies."
~There is little I can do. The situation is becoming very... over-trafficked. They are not likely to make a side-trip just to pick you up.
"They?"
~A gathering of important players.
"So this is a game now?"
~It always was.
"For who?"
~I haven't the foggiest idea. Everything in life is a game, and even I am a piece in at least one.
"So I'm supposed to be up there as well?"
~Yes.
"And they're not gonna come get me?"
~Correct.
Standing, the fox took his naginata in hand "Alrighty, that solves that problem. I'll just have to go to -them-."
~That would be... unadvisable. Quite a few of them are on a hair-trigger at this point, and popping out of the fabric of existence might make you a target for jumpy nerves.
"'I never said this job would be easy, I just said it would be worth it.'"
~Fine, be clever, get yourself shot, go ahead.
"Why thank you, I think I will."
Making a curt gesture with one paw, the fox concentrated, drawing on powers that had lain dormant within him for quite a few months. To use the power given to him freely was forbidden, and would have resulted in his quick death, but now it was necesary.
Taking deep breaths, the fox drew a large symbol in the air. Then, opening his eyes he let his voice ring out in command. "In the name of the Goddess and by Her Authority I command the elements to bow to my will. Open!"
Hesitating for only a moment, the Knight of the Shining Voice threw himself through the opening portal, naginata in front of him, ready to deflect any initial attacks that might be mounted against him lest the Goddess's prediction come true.
Oddly enough, he was siezed by a sudden urge to say 'Knock knock.'
"One last thing, Rick, don't meet their eyes."
"What?"
"Don't meet their gaze. They have seen beyond the veil, and this makes their gaze most terrible. Seen from Terra, they cause fear... undiluted in Gaia, they will strip your soul."

Trustor dealt the cards hot to the other two players letting the cards fall as he called them.  After both players stayed he dealt for himself the dealer.  Dealer draws a 2 at 6 points must hit.  He hit again.  Dealer draws a 4 at 10 points dealer is required to hit.  Trustor hit again.  Dealer draws a King and at 20 is required to stop.  All hands “PUSH”.  http://dice.furtopia.org/users/Trustor.html

Trustor tail wagged with a little more excitement as he spoke, “You’ve held your bets safely but no winnings come from safety!”  Trustor grinned shuffling the cards as he continued, “Just one more hand to beat the odds?”  “Who’s in?”

As the elevator came to a halt, the doors slid open and Gorbin slipped between the others to the window. Simon walked out with caution and looked around. Everyone looked friendly so he let his cautiousness fade. He walked over to a nearby chair, sat down and pulled the pictures out to look at them again. He soon got tired and moved to a nearby corner and fell asleep, the pictures slipped out of his hand as he dozed off...

Trustor continued to record on his scanner when it picked up another energy signature.  “Hey Alex over here!”, Trustor motioned to Alex, “Look there is a energy signature building up in this corner. My scanner is reading it as another canine perhaps a magian channeling the way.”  Trustor instinctively empathed the visitor.  The newcomer was male and not a enemy.  Trustor raised his voice to be heard, “Hello!  Who’s there?”

Alex scrambled across to find out what had gotten Trustor so worked up. He saw the signal growing stronger on the scanner, but the name he mentioned didn't mean anything to him.

"Who are the Magian?", he asked still gazing at the energy signal. At one point he could feel a strange sensation in the air, as Trustor remained silent.

He leant against the cool metal of the ship as it took him away from the guards.  He slumped down to the floor, crossing his legs and smiling to himself.  The idiots would htink he was dead, he closed his eyes, damm what a rush, he could still feel his heart pounding.  He was pissed about the ship though, luckily he knew the computer would back itself up and store itself in the disc he kept in his pocket.  He took it out and looked at it just in case, the display light was flashing, good she'd made it.

Knowing that he was safer on this ship than he could possibly have been on that ship he took out a small blue cube from his other pocket.  He sat looking at it for a moment before resting it on his arm.  The cub sat there doing nothing for several seconds and then slowly began to move through his arm and into his blood stream.  He felt the Blyss kick in and shuddered.  He had discovered the stuff a few years back, it was expensive, but with the stuff he 're-located' and the money he got from his employers he could afford it.

The data he had managed to get for his boss off the computer was safetly stored in some part of his brain ready to be retreived later.  He looked around for a computer panel, he wanted to find out where the hell he was now.  Slowly he stood up and movedaround the place.  He spotted a small one, it can't have been fantastically important, but he was sure it was connected to the main computer.  He put his hand on it.  Taking a deep breath, still remembering the shock they had sent down the line inthe last one to jolt him off he pushed his connected through the panel.  He could feel his consciousness slipping into the computer.

He was being digitalised, suddenly he could 'feel' all of the ship, it would take a while to look around, but he knew he was definately in.  He started looking around, trying to keep beneath the security sweeps, it was always better to avoid them if you could, otherwise nasty things could happen.  He was usually good enough to miss them, but with his headache who knew.
