Knowing if you replied to, or viewed a topic.

I am always checking to see if I replied to a post/topic.
Yes we only have to click on the number of replies to
get a box with a list of who has replied including out own.

But here is a thought. It should save bandwith too.

As the forum knows who we are as we surf through it.
Why not have it add a * to the replies number if we
have replied, and or after the number of views.
If we have only viewed..Example  10*

That way at a glance we can see if we have looked
or replied to the post/topic.

I think this would save time, and encourage responses to
posts. Where people tire of looking and only to find they
looked before..

As with other changes this might take considerble time to add. But I think it's worth looking into..

It doesn't work from the 'New Posts' screen but if you're in a specific forum the little envelope icon on the left of each thread will show a star if you've already replied  '>

Nah, it'd be more ironic if I was the one that didn't notice the feature, seeing as I installed and admin the forum software. '>
Actually... I used to be on the Ikonboard staff and was the one that added the stars to the envelope graphics when they added in that feature we're discussing here.
