How many in here think they share the general personality of the animals they liken to here? You know, for whom does words like emotional, empathetic, or impulsive really describe?

As for myself I'm shy, empathetic, and tend to think too much sometimes.

Yeah, I consider myself very foxlike. I was going to give a detailed post on another thread, but I've been distracted lately.

Sadly, I've never met a velociraptor before, so I couldn't say if I'm really raptorish in nature or not.

But I think they look cool.  That's enough for me!  '<img'>

Now now...if us raptors locked you in a tightly-enclosed area with only a few shrubs and an electrical fence to keep you company, you wouldn't be happy either.  ':p'

True that, my tribal raptor pics reflect what-if, early rapior civilization having developed insted of humans, their personality is always smart and even pleasent, but still with a little beastly side. And a fully developed language based on their animal sounds in the JP movies and their culture is loosely based on pre-columbian ones.

Yes, I've long been modeling my personality after that of a snow leopard. There is one in the zoo in my town and I used to visit there and watch him all the time before college. I watch and videos and collect any pictures of snow leopard I can find and read about their life style and mentality and try to match mine to their's, though I did that this far more years ago than now.

Oh you should just read some of the stories I've got about foxes and their tricks. I've got an old book that is all about wild canine species in north america, made by old naturalists, and some of the stuff they do is prety darn clever, and compassionate also. Like their devotion to their mates. One story was of a man who caught a vixen in one of his traps and he discovered that she was totaly blind, so he decided to keep her as a pet. A few nights later he went out to her cage and noticed a dead mouse sitting outside of it, and periodicaly more food was left there. So he decided to wait up one night and confirm his theory, and sure enough the male fox, likely her mate, came and brought her food, like he had likely been doing for her entire life.

The tricks they preform to avoid dogs in fox hunts is a good example. Here are a few tricks:

A fox will run to a fence and jump on it. He'll run to the side then jump off and continue running. All the dogs will get to the fence and jump right over it to lose the fox's sent.

A fox will run up stream when they cross a shallow river. Dogs can't sniff water.

They'll climb a tree and run across over hanging branches. Dogs can't follow up a tree.

Running in circles to overlap the scent or going backwards on their path and jumping away.

That's how they got their clever reputation.

I'd say it depends. How friendly and devoted are you to your friends? Do you like to lead a group or go off by yourself? That's one way to distinguish yourself. Felines or more self centered and canines are more pack centered.

Well, they are foxes. So I imagine they act like a fox. The only distinguishing characteristics I can think of are that they are smaller than other foxes and males get very aggressive around mating season . . .  '' Yes, I've done a bit of research into foxes.

I'm sarcastic, witty, cranky, conceited, easily distracted, obsessive, and excitable.

I'm not really fox-like at all, but seeing as my main fursona is a ferret, it works. I like shiny things. :x

Naw.  I think you were in Jurassic Park 2.

I saw you in the scene where you and the rest of the raptors were running through the grass picking the people off one by one.

And me, I tried out for the part of the gryphon villain in Quest For Camelot... but I didn't get the part because they said I was too evil.   **raises pinky up to her beak a la Dr. Evil*

Well, my dad and little brother (who look just alike, like they call my little brother "Little Randy" because he looks just like my dad did when he was his age, but anyway, they were both bornunder the sign of the rooster, which fits them, because they are both kinda loud and like to strut about.  '<img'>

I don't really share that many personality traits of a fox, more those of a wolf: easily angered (to my shame, I'm getting better at controlling it though), growl when I'm angry, very large, have an affinity for cold climates... I'm not really dominant enough to be a wolf though, plus I like the fox colouring.

I rock. and i jump infront of cars.

by the way, witty refers to usually a satirical and eloquent use of words. so untill foxes speak english, you should switch "witty" with somerthing like "tricky"

Well, sometimes I am dog-like and others I am cat-like. †It all depends on my mood. †So ideally my fursona would be a catdog, but I'm not creative or artistic enough to draw that.

I'd say I'm dog-like when I'm wanting to make everyone happy, I want to be around lots of people, play, laughing at my mistakes, be active.

I'd say I'm cat-like when I could care less what people think, wanting to do everything myself, trying desparatly to gain my dignity after mistakes, wanting to be left alone.  -EDIT- Plus, I can do really awesome cat noises!

Wow! †I'm like two people rolled into one!
