I dont know if you'd call it an animal personality, but I do some strange things ''   I bark and growl quite a bit, and somtimes whine if I see an very pretty girl.  I've also developed a taste for Dog Biscuits. (They taste like saltine crackers, but with less salt.  I guess they are safe for people to eat?)
I tend to be quiet and shy when in public, or around people I dont know, but I'm loud and animated around close freinds.  I smell nearly everything that I touch, and have to be careful, since I have a habit of putting things in my mouth.

I guess that means I'm more like a dog than a horse. (Good thing I've been working on a Wolf fursona for a while now huh? '<img'>  )

I picked my animal specifically because I share it's personality.

I tend to be a lone...um porcupine, even though I'm very good at making friends, when I choose to, and I also tend to be very calm in most situations and tend not to freak out until I have run out of options but to flee or fight back. That said, I am also, on occasion, very cautious about people I do not trust and situations I think may get out of hand. But I'm generally good natured and collected.

Very, porcupinish if you ask me.

I'm more catlike than anything.  I tend to be introverted and awkward in social situations, and probably more concerned with hygiene than the average male.  But I'm also a lot clumsier than the typical feline, so I dunno what animal that would place me as.

maybe you need to practice neighs, whinnies and blusters.

I used to know some one that can hee-haw just like a real donkey, no joke  '<img'>

I think I blustered before, it's like a louder and rather more equine version of the common sigh

Please, do explain to me......how is a fox witty?
The tricks they preform to avoid dogs in fox hunts is a good example. Here are a few tricks:

A fox will run to a fence and jump on it. He'll run to the side then jump off and continue running. All the dogs will get to the fence and jump right over it to lose the fox's sent.

A fox will run up stream when they cross a shallow river. Dogs can't sniff water.

They'll climb a tree and run across over hanging branches. Dogs can't follow up a tree.

Running in circles to overlap the scent or going backwards on their path and jumping away.

That's how they got their clever reputation.

Mate.....that isnt witty?! Thats survival?!

Well, intelligence, with quick thinking. For people, that translates into wise cracks.

no for humans that translates into intelligence with quick thinking. once again wit refers to satirical and eloquent comments.

Alright Mr. Grasp at straws. You have to be quick witted to make wisecracks otherwise you don't think of them quick enough or they just sound stupid.

Of course a fox doesn't make wisecracks, they can't talk.

Bottom line being: A foxy trait for a human can be a sarcastic tongue. That doesn't mean that having one means you are a fox or not having one means you are not. It's more like a points system and being sarcastic is a point for fox (among a few other creatures).

This has to be by far the sillyist debate I have ever been involved with.  ':dead:'

I'm vulpine, but strive to become increasingly so.  Becoming one's fursona is less a destination than a journey; one is always becoming ones' self, and we can always reinvent ourselves.  I do know that when I've surrendered to my vulpine nature, I've gotten through some things that I otherwise might not have...

I'm very dog-like in my behavior. I lived alone with my two dogs for a very long time with minimal human contact so I naturaly took on doggish qualities more than I would of otherwise. I've had to catch myself growling at people or pissing anywhere I so please more than once.

Even though my fursona is a mutt, there's probably a bit of lab or retreiver in me because I tend to greet folks with the proverbial tail wags and licks. But I also have a bit of English Mastiff in me because of my guarding instincts and sense of duty (protecting the home-base). Also because I avoid violence if I absolutely have to, but if it comes to that I'd be able to do some serious damage. And like a mastiff, if you get in a fight with me you asked for it. I'm also like a German Shepherd because of a tendency to be high strung sometimes and also because of my readiness to sick-'em once I'm given the go ahead.

I recently discovered just how wolf-like my personality is.  The way I think and see the world, the way I act, my instincts.  It's kind of hard to describe...

I could go into it deeper later on.

Can anyone else relate (doesnt have to be wolf specific) to this sort of latent similarity, one that's not totally on the surface or obvious?

How deep do you mean by non obvious? Something in your inner core like a spiritual thing? Or something like more specific on measureable traits, such as rather than just being intelligent, you're observent?
