Anyone else get paw pads?
« on: March 26, 2003, 09:28:02 am »
Normally, I would put these calluses down to the sudden burst of work I've had to do lately, but they're forming on my pinkies as well, and who uses their pinkies

have any of the rest of you had a sudden burst of animal physical traits, or Phantom parts?

(please move if appropriate, wasn't sure where to put this)

PS.  thanks to whomever finally put me in the Artist list.  now I can get everything else updated *hugs*.

Well, I can say that I've occasionally felt as if I had canine ears; that, and since I tend not to wear shoes/socks around m'house, etc. I have 'pads' on m'feet...  '<img'>

I sometimes get the phantom ears and tail effect, but not much aside from that.
I occasionally get callouses on my toes, but that's about it. My hands are rather soft, thanks to me being a computer geek and all. Keyboards don't seem to give me callouses at all. '<img'>

Phantom parts.  So that's what it's called.  I have often had this feeling, but unsure exactly what it was.  I sometimes get a strong feeling from around where my shoulder-blades are, where I feel my wings should protrude.  I also sometimes get the feeling on my head, where I feel my horns should be.  It is sometimes painful, not always physically, but mentally.  It hurts so much longing to be in another body, but being stuck in one of a race I dislike very much.

Hmmm often gone up the stairs on all fours and I rarley if at all wear shoes in the house so I have good thick pads on me feet. The occasional trait comes in every now and again stopping to smell a scent in the air ; sitting/relaxing with my hands and feet curled up in to a paw/claw possition I find very comfy ,little things like that. Never had a phantom tail ( don't really have much of one to speak of though ) .
I wonder If a strong enough will can make manifest this type of thing?? .

Bear Paw said what I had in mind.  I still tend to sniff the air as well, thus my fursona.   '<img'>   unfortunately, I seem to have to be in the proximity of another Fur to get my Phantoms anymore.

Every once in a while, I swear I feel my tail, hanging down or wagging furiously.  My tail was wagging when I found that "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" was going to be made into a movie.  My tail really wags when this female friend of mine l like to flirt with emails me. ''

My sense of smell seems a little more acute, every so often.

Walking on fours, I'm a biped, by trade.

As for paw pads, I don't know.  My fursona wears football (soccer) boots and socks.

M'ears actually perk up when I hear something, as do my 'Ears'; I also tend to curl up when I'm sleepy or sleeping...  ':dead:'

I go barefoot as much as possible...and for those of you who also do, soapstone (that's what I call it) is your friend! lol.  I tend to go upstairs on all fours...it's easier...unless I'm carrying something or wearing a skirt/dress.  I feel my gryph wings every now and then, and on occasion my tail...m-shifting is great stuff.  I'd sniff the air, too but it wouldn't do me any good...I can't smell.  '<img'>  My kitten thinks of me as mommy, I think...he follows me around and makes a sort of chirping noise when he can't find me...I've got a sort of croon I do that the cats here (there's 5) seem to like, because they tend to come to me when I do it.  (assuming they're not too busy eating or washing or something...you know cats) lol.

Just my take,

I have rough pads on my feet, but that could just be the result of walking around barefoot a lot.  ':p'
Sometimes I believe that I have more acute hearing than my friends, but then again most of my friends listen to music with the volume cranked up to the max.
My nose is also quite sensitive.

I walk around barefoot a lot too. I find it more comfortable, and the end result is I have pads on the soles of my feet. As for phantom parts, if I think about it hard enough my head tingles strangely where my "ears" are supposed to be

It certainly is nice to know I'm not the only one who has phantom parts every once in a while. Oddly enough, I'm feeling them right now. Luckly, I'm alone right now, so I don't have to worry about anyone asking me "Why are you feeling your head?" or "Why are you looking at your butt?" Explaining to people that I'm not looking at my butt in one thing, but explaining to them that I feel like a have a fox tail sticking out of me is another situation entirely!

I get phamtom teeth they feel like there big and sharp. Sometimes It feels like I have big fuzzy tiger paws and I can feel the nails big and sharp out strech when I move my hand certain ways. Sometimes I feel big fluffy wings from above my head down to my ankles. When it feels like I have wings I can flap them and it feels really cool. The wing phamtom shift scares me somtimes because it feels like I'm about to leave my body.
Good bye. (cry)

Phantom Parts, as its been called here, have been around for some time. There are evidential pictures of leaves of plants that had been cut off anf the electro magnetic field still showed the outline of the leaf BEFORE it got cliped. Its really quite amazing to see for ones self. Hence a conclusion can be drawn in this discussion. Perhaps after your body was cliped from what ever other kin form you had, it left its own electro magnetic arrangment to linger about you. Ofcourse the Human bodies would be much stronger but ...you can still feel without touching something no? Hence you could still flap wings that had long since faded.

*Grins at that* I felt my entire body in this plane once. Horns, wings, tail, even my musculature. I was even moving erraticaly because of it. I guess sometimes the soul just misses its first home.
