Okay, this is the third time I've seen this guy on TV. Does anyone have information on him? He goes by "Cat" on TV, and he has tattoos and piercings and body modifications to take on the shape of a tiger. I figured I'd throw this into lifestylers since therians and lifestylers seem similar, and well.. He spoke of his totem being the tiger. Anywho.. Does anyone know anything about this guy? *-* I'm intrigued.

Oh, come on... plastic surgery doesn't work! It never does... He should have considered a fursuit - its more realistic, and last but not least... you can take it off!

Hmm... yeah. At the very most I would wear a fursuit... and its good if you get sick of it. But... I guess this guy just wanted it that way?

The two people I ran into who met him in real life didn't have much good to say about him.  I was at a local fur event where Uncle Kage (chairman of Anthrocon) and one of the staff of Feral started talking about him.  The gist of their conversation was that he has a spiritualistic agenda he wants to push and doesn't play well with others if he doesn't get his way.

I saw "Humanimals" again this past weekend, too.  They seem to continue to tack on a little new footage with older stuff and re-run it on Discovery Health and other channels.  Probably we'll be seeing and hearing more about Catman, Lizard man, Leopard man, Enigma, his wife, and the others over time.  I loved the way that Leopard Man walked into a pub, and no one paid him much extra attention!  Tolerance of eccentrics, however, is as I understand it rather a tradition in England, which might explain the Royal Family... I saw Stalking Cat at Califur. The amount of body modification is a bit disconcerting at first. Didn't actually get to talk to him though.

Yeah, body modification can be a little.. Overdone. But hey, whatever floats your boat! ^_^; (Just remember, everyone else thinks simple tails and ears are overdone, eh?)

I think the main thing that would suck about modifications that extreme is you would never be able to get employment anywhere.. You would have to reley on publisity.. and face it soon enough everyone is gonna get sick of seeing furries once more people get into the modification stuff.. And eventually its just gonna be like Punks and Goths that fill our cities now, And everyone just seems to ignore...

Which is pretty sad for us real furs cause soon enough all the try hards who just want to use it all as an excuse for attentions and "Look at Me" sydrome will ruin it

at the end of the programme he said he wanted a surgicly implanted tail that he could move at will ''

I personally think that "Stalking Cat" looks a little...umm...scary.  But I do acknowledge that it's his thing and he has a right to do whatever he wants with his own body.  It's just not anything I would do.  If I were to become a "real anthro" I would want a realistic tiger head, fur, claws, tail, and the whole bit.

I've seen this guy, and Lizard man (he's cool!'<img'> on TV several times.

I have to say that if I ever saw this cat... person... in person, I'd have to point, laugh, scream, laugh, scream some more, then maybe puke.

But if he's happy, then I'm happy for him.

Huzzah.
warning: this person is prone to rambles, excessive humor, some snark, lurking, and lots of flakiness- oh look, something shiny!

*jaw drops* ...Oh my god. CATFISH!

I know that guy! XD My uncle did the tattoos that he has! He scared the crap out of me when I was a little kid. Cops would make fun of him because he would prowl at night, and his breath constantly smelled of cat food.

Why do I know him at Catfish? He was a Navy man, so he got fish scales tattooed on his arms. Then he got into that whole tiger business, so my dad and uncle would call him Catfish. XD

Did you know he has boobs now? Rumor has it he also had his...er...male part *trying to be clean about it* removed and sewn to his rear as a tail.

I can't believe it. All these years...my mom still has the photo of my uncle tattooing him.

I'm surprised to find so many people are having a "omg that's so weird!1!" response, when we all complain about people saying things like that about us.

I'm even more surprised, because a majority of us would choose to be an anthro IRL at the drop of a hat, yet find it disturbing that this man is living out his dream, where you all are too afraid to go through these procedures.

It just seems a tad hypocritical to judge him automatically like that, don't you think?

Thank you Humbajoe! Most of us (me included) desirve a good slap from you. Though I think I'd prefer a reincarnation as my anthro self in a world were anthros existed (ethier as the dominant beings, or with other sentiant beings).

I'm afraid of posers, too. Then again, similar things have happened with the computer modding scene. We can't let them deture us, if they're true furs, or true fans, they'll stick around past the teenage rebellion stage. We can outdo them in furriness anyday, anyhow.

I said all that I did about him is because my family and I know him as a person. ^^;; He really was a weird person at first, but maybe he's not so strange these days. *shrugs*

With the cat-lip he has, though, it must be rather difficult to speak. Like having your tongue pierced, but the difficulty is located elsewhere.

Anyway, I feel I don't deserve a slap. >.>;; I don't think I was judging him, either.

Seriously, though, he really was called Catfish when his fiasco first started out. XD

You are right. Although this does seem to be quite a bit different... in a few ways.
I think what a lot of furs would want... it to be able to change into an actual... furry, rather than just having body modifications like that. His always looked really... not right to me. Or just really fake... but I guess that could just be me ^^''

Hey, I agree.  I would rather a natural and "real" transformation over a surgical one.  And I didn't mean to point the finger at everyone in this thread, not all of you were bad-mouthing, but a majority was.

He may look a bit strange, but I commend him in that he's attempting to live his dream, and make the best of his situation.  Because let's face it, there's no way any of us are going to be able to naturally turn into anthros.  Sad, but true (though words can not describe how much I'd LOVE to be proven wrong).
