I guess there's nothing wrong with it, but even for symbolism, is it really that much symbolism? Dogs only drink out of dog bowls because that's what a human gives them to drink out of. When my dog's in the car with me I stick a cup of water in the cupholder and he drinks out of that; when we go jogging he'll drink out of a water bottle when I pour it toward his mouth.

I used to do it as a kid. :P It's fun to play with, but nothing I'd say's worth doing regularly, yeah.

There's nothing wrong about it but personally i would think of it as rather cumbersome.

How odd. But then again when i was 7 I made a bowl of cocapuff, poured milk in it and set it on the floor. My sister walked in on my acting like a dog. And then when I was 12 my uncle caught me stealing bacon from the dinner table like a dog as well. '<img'>

He called me an abombination and a little heathen. But then... so does my grandma. (im used to the name little heathen and take it as a compliment) thats what scares them. ''

unless you are endowed with a extremely long tongue, drinking properly from a dog bowl is quite a task, and therefore pretty much pointless.

so I take it you're the only one that can do it and it not be pointless?  ':p'

I usualy drink from a normal bowl if I am having something like soup, or am cleaning a plate. also, I have a long tongue, but I doubt it is a mach for romper.

I will always love the nalgene bottle.

I cant stand cups, bowls or mugs. Bottles are the only way to go for this pup. However...Soda taste real good in those cups you get at fast food resteraunts...with the straws and everything.

^~^ That's cause the sodas are mixed RIGHT THERE, while in a can they're pre-mixed.

Anyway, for normal use, I wouldn't wanna use a dog bowl, but hanging onto one during a furry con would be cute ^....^. Just for drinking out of, though. Eating out of it is just going too far.

o...o but in all honesty, it kinda sounds like.. you're a little too attached to the idea of being an animal. I suppose there's nothing really wrong with that, it's just...important to know and accept that you are still human, and nothing can change that =\. And it's nothing to be sad about! Just as not all dogs are vicious, not all humans are bad and stupid. But that's beside the point.

Better than running the tap for five minutes to get a glass of water, I say.

As long as it's your own.  Otherwise....eeeew!  Dog water! '<img'>

It's alright...although it's easier to drink from a dog bowl when it's sitting on a table.

I prefer a glass, yes, but I will use a dog bowl if I don't want to have to wash an otherwise-clean glass.

Being a toon bunny I can use a glass, cup or straw '<img'>

Anyhow as was said the dog bowl is a human
device to serve a animals needs. In the
wild they would drink from running water, pond or
a puddle.

If using one is cool for you. I say go for it.

I like this statement. It made me feel understood, in a way. Yea, come to think of it, i haven't drank from a bowl for a while now. But its still great to see that its a hot topic. '<img'>

Yea, i can relate with that. Ice cream bowls are really messy too. You just can't scrape all the melted ice cream up with the spoon. Except after, i have some way of getting it all over myself... I guess im clumsy like that. '<img'>

In my opinion theres no problem at all if you like eating or drinking from a doggy bowl, all i can say is it my upset the humans. (if they dont like ANYTHING, they tend to try to stop it wether its thier business or not)

Even though I had a water bowl filled with fresh clean water,
Tyler would often drink from my toilet bowl, she actually seemed to prefer it.
Apparently drinking from a dog bowl wasn't her first choice.
*
I can imagine what she must have been thinking when she saw me on the toilet.....
What!! Your taking a dump in the toilet! Eewww that's my drinking water!
*
Maybe some day, someone will make a dog water bowl that looks just like a toilet.
I should go look, maybe someone already has. '<img'>

Well I suppose it's not a big step away for me considering I have my own chew toys, collar, dog bone tag, leash, etc. I'll have to try it then I'll get back to you.

Licking plates clean is the only way to go, especially if you camping (uses no water!'<img'>. I never thought about eating out of one. You could put anything in it and wouldn't have to change dishes! AH-HA! This bachlor just found an easy way out of doing dishes!!

Yea, you could also go with napkins and toothpicks. Thats what i do to avoid my mom telling me to wash dishes. You still have to wash the food bowl once in a while.
