Thanks for the interest in my tattoos!''  If I ever get a web page up, I'll post pics of them.  The one on my upper right arm is my fave; it covered a smaller "totem animal" fox that had been my first one, and it was done during a violent thunderstorm; very Gothic background to do one in, and I think it somehow got a special kind of magic as a result.  If you've ever seen the Bill Murrey/Steve Martin dental scene in Little Shop of Horrors, it was kind of like that... ''

It's very possible to get a discrete tattoo where it's ordinarily not seen by others, then it becomes your special little secret, and link to your furry side.  Tattoos are addictive, however, and many of us with them go back for more...

I do, Chaz, but they're a bit blurry.  Will try to get some clearer ones and make them available.

Like your new pic, by the way, but will miss the old one... '<img'>

(Addendum:  While development of that site is in process, here's my favorite tattoo that I have on myself... '<img'>  )

Howls Firefox,
I got the pictures and will start working on the site.
When you get clearer ones just send them over.

Thanks for your help on this.

*Grins* Yes this Avatar is cool. I am still keeping all the ones I get and just rotating them. '<img'>

I'll get me some tatoos sooner or later. Want me a dragon and a bear. Seen some done in stylised silhouette that look very cool.

Anyone else find the buzz that the 'pen' makes really soothing? I sat around once while a friend had a tattoo finished (was a large one done in 3 sittings). COuld have listened happily for hours...

Yeah I'm wierd!

I dunno, when I got the tattoo on my lower back, I was in too much pain to even think about the noise that the pen was making.  Plus I was crunched over two pillows, not lying down, so the uncomfortable position I was in made it worse.

My first tattoo that I got was on my ankle, no where near as painful as my second.

I wear temporary dragon tatoos until I can afford the real one. My step-sister told me that if I pick out a good design she will take me to a tatoo parlor that she goes to and I will get a real one with the design that I chose and that will b my x-mas gift from her, and I'm gonna get it done on the weekend so if ne one that reads this hopes and wishes me good luck cuz this is gonna b my 1st real tatoo that I'm gonna get so to any one that has one and or to ones that don't have one yet wishes me the luck and when I do get one if U want I'll try and take a pic of it (if interested) and or tell u which one I got and describe what it looks like. I've been planning on getting a few myself...A good sized one and a few small ones, I'm just waiting to come of age. Of course they'll all be of my own designs, something panther related among a few other things...I think I may get my alias done in Bamidpozo too (Bamidpozo is a language like Al Bhed from Final Fantasy X, just with different letter arangments and it's been slightly tweaked, it also has it's often writen characters). Bamidpozo is a for a furry comic I'm currently working on and it's the language of dragons. Maybe something with a lion, tiger, or a horse too would be nice.

I don't have a tatoo yet because I have yet to find a tatoo artist who can duplicate the design I want done in a fashion that I want.  So many of them do only mainstream designs that everyone else has.  I am diabetic and, due to the risks involved, may only be able to get ONE.  So I want it to be perfect.

BUT I do have a brand.  It was custom designed by Midnight and done at home using five different heated til white paperclips bent into the shapes needed.  It's a dragon bust with open mouth.  I didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it would and I LOVE it.  Only took about a week to heal after the initial blistering and was done with thinned metal so it wouldn't look like one of those angry red puffed brands (I think they look tacky).  It is healed as a thin slightly pinkish white image on my fair skin, positioned on my upper left arm just below the shoulder. So it is tasteful, not disturbing, when others see it.  It has dual meaning aside from being a creature I enjoy; it is also a sign of commitment and love.

WARNING:  To anyone planning on trying what I did, make sure you have a medical professional at your disposal while doing it.  Sterilize EVERYTHING and don't reuse any of the metal brands.  Also, watch for signs of shock if you have more then one piece to your design.  No body art is worth a hospital trip and possible infection due to carelessness.

There's a tattoo artist around here named Willie.  He's definately the best artist I've seen for custom designs.  I went to him for both of my tattoos (my boyfriend and mom went to him for their tattoos as well), and I don't think I'd ever go to anybody else.  He does absolutely beautiful work.

Here are pictures of my tatoos.  All of these I've designed myself.

My First Tattoo
It's located on my ankle.  I got this one when I was 18.  My drawing style has changed a lot since then, but I wouldn't change it for the world.  It's the creature that I love, and a tribute to the art I've done in the past.

My Second Tattoo
It's on my lower back.  I cannot stress how much better the real thing looks compared to this picture.  The blue shading is simply beautiful, and the crest is actually a royal blue.

I'm also designing my third and final tattoo.  It's going to be a gryphon head, with the same blue shading as my other two tattoos.  The only exception is the eye, which is going to be green.  I'm making sure that this one is perfect before I get it.

Here's another tattoo I thought you would enjoy.

My Boyfriend's Tattoo
It was my gift to him for his 18th birthday.  It's a tribal phonix head since the phoenix is his favorite animal.  '<img'>

Very nice tattoos, but I think you got your boyfriends one mixed, unless it's the same as your second.
I'm hoping to get a tattoo within the next month or so. A friend of mine's a good artist and he said he could get me a discount, I just have to decide which one of the designs I have I want ':p'

I have no intentions of getting a tatto, but if I did, I'd want a job like those dudes on Ripley's got: full bodied ones made to look like fur and scales. If I could afford the surgery, I'd have the same kind of surgery done myself (like claws, whiskers, facial implants, ect), but I'm not sure they could do a good badger.

I am still working on putting up a page to show Furtopia furs tattos, but due to working 7 days a week my time has been alittle limited..

If you want to have your tattos added to the site when it goes up, please just email or PM me..

Hopeful open date is next week.

As much as I dislike this particular human body, I'd have to think seriously before getting a tattoo or anythign like that.

It's the only one I've got.

Perhaps I would if I could get something simple.. like a really good set of three tiger stripes somewhere easily coverable by normal clothing, but also easy enough to show without removing too much '<img'>

Why tiger? I know I'm a Snow Leopard, but tiger stripes are more common, easier to obtain, and more identifiable. Nobody wants to look, at a distance, like they have an array of small round bruises.

I have a tatto of a dragon on my right shoulder. I was thinking of getting another design that I drew on the back of my neck. I'll also be getting this larger design that i drew on my middle upper back and then another design that i drew below my navel. I don't quite know if I'll get anything else. I guess the amount of tattoos i want goes with the number of piercings I have. I have an Industrial piercing on my left ear, my tongue and both my nipples pierced. I used to have my lower navel pierced and i'm thinking about getting my eyebrow, lip, labret and maybe something on my right ear done. That's about it though...
