Humans dont shed. Different seasons or changes in weather or temperature can effect your hair...maybe make it more frizzy in wetter months or change the hue of it when exposed to direct sunlight...but If your hair is falling out, I think you have a different problem then shedding.

Humans DO shed....skin cells, hair..ect. We just dont have a coat of fur, that can be from two to four layers of diffrent 'types' of fur or feather. We have skin, and light hair that is left over from evolution. But we do shed hair upon our heads, it happens. The folicle will die, and the hair will fall out. Also we shed millions of skin cells, its just like pet dander, but not as bad, seeing we dont have a undercoat.

And depending if you tan, you can get a pretty good lizard shed going too, it just be really cool if it came out in one peice like a snake!

Well yes, but not shed like a cat. If your hair falls out like a cat whos shedding...I dont think thats a good thing. I wish my hair would shed, I need a hair cut.

I wish our husky would quit shedding. I swear he has a never ending supply of fur, We can litterally fill a full bag of fur and he looks the same.

Meh, I'm alergic to shedding animals...  id doesn't stop me from having two though.  ^^  I think I might be able to shed if I could...  I've got the fur to do it with.  I'll up load a picture if any furs want me to.

Meanwhile, it's finally getting full summer around here, and I don't lose much hair anymore... end of "shedding season" so to speak. But in autumn it'll start again...

Well for the past week I have 'converted' to being a snake furry.. As a result of too much sun exposure. Kinda' obnoxious, actually. Makes me glad I /don't/ have a fur coat that I leave behind everywhere I go! Ooooohhhhh.. Insight. O_o

Tip for the kiddies:
Don't /forcebly/ peel after a sunburn, sores follow.

I shed daily except it's my skin... Every time I get in the shower alot of skin comes off of me... I think it's the dragon thing because they shed alot too...it's kinda freaky and it's really hard to hide all the red spots...

If you have big patches of skin just...comming off I'd ask a doctor if I were you.

I know for a fact that humans do not shed like a cat. We have hair not fur. Only animals with fur shed. That's how come poodles don't shed because they have hair. Animals which hair don't shed. The hair you loose that may seem like shedding has either been pulled to hard by the brush, is dead, or is dying. All animals with hair have dead hair because everything dies and hair dies quickly. We do shed skin though because our skin gets old and dies so we have new layers to replace it. Everytime you scratch dead skin comes off. The whole reason we itch is because of dead skin.

I know that humans, like any mammal do shed to so edegree. Moreso during times of stress. (Assuming that's true, I should be bald by this evening)

My hair is super thick, it's insane. It's a major pain to straighten and wash. I wish some of it would fall out.

Yup definently, specially when the hair itself is heavier (or longer) it tends to do that with me, and yeh.. its kinda seasonal o.O Freaking 5-8 in long hair in different places.

That ususally doesn't work...everytime I go to the doctor of any kind(eye, bone, dentist even)they give me a really long word and tell me it isn't a disease or a disorder of some kind, it's just strange...then they call me wierd and send me home with nothing more than a really long word that I forget in two days... ':dead:' I don't like going to the doctor anymore...

Interesting question. I'd have to say yes, but not as much since we don't have nearly as much hair.

Wonder if there's some way to get a fur transplant or genetic surgery so you -can- grow fur? Seriously!

I shed a lot of hair in the shower, but that might be to do with my impending male-pattern baldness...
