I don't know if this counts, but I hate when people call me by my birth name and not my "fur-name". I also hate when people refer to me, by my birth gender. It so bugs me.

Me too! My parents are the only ones who still use my birth name.

I don't know if it counts since it was years before I even found out about the furry fandom. When I was younger I was playing with some friends at the playground. It had some sandy areas and in one of these areas there was a whole city of anthills. I was happily watching them when this girl comes over and starts stomping on them. I physically grabbed her and hauled her away from them. Her mom comes over and starts yelling at me for touching her daughter and when she found out why starts yelling at me for protecting a bunch of disgusting bugs. Meanwhile I'm throwing a fit ranting about how she'd like it if somebody stomped on her house on purpose. My poor mom had a heck of time consoling me.

I wear my collar to my classes all the time, but this guy for somereason started to ask my about it and out of one were, grabbed my from behind on the back of the collar and dragged me a few feet.

I was pissed, yes, but I just said to him: "If you seem to be so fascinated with my collar, I could get you a pink one from petco."

that shut him up   XD

Im fine with people commenting me on my collar, telling me what they think, but when it becomes a grab n touch thing, I give them a peice of my mind.  Only my friends can drag my by the collar :p

I don't think this is a weird offense. I'd be pretty offended if somebody dragged me around strangling me. I can't even imagine.  >:(

Not sure if this related to the topic, but once when I was walking around wearing my tail some middle-aged women started asking why I was wearing a beaver's tail (note, my tail's long, fluffy, about a foot in diameter, and gray...even non-furs know it's a wolf tail).  It probably annoyed me more than it should have though :-[ :P

Oh I would agree that's annoying I'm just not sure it's a furry thing. Haha, but if you associate it with that it's all good.  :)

Leash jokes have been pissing me off, but I've actually been using that same response that Gotferret has.  "If you like mine so much.."

I think something like that might be a little out of line. Its super annoying to have someone invade your space by pulling your tail, but doing the exact same thing to them in retaliation doesn't make it better; it just makes you as annoying as the tail-puller.

I get extremely ticked when people pull on my tail or try to pull me around by my collar.

Some random guy, at a party, that I didn't know thought it would be sexy or cute or something to try to pull me in for a kiss by my collar once.  I was furious.  I resisted the pulling and just glared my most frightening "I'm gonna hurt you if you don't let go" look at him and growled.  He instantly got the point and let go, and then avoided me for the rest of the night.  Which was fine by me.  He was a creep. :P

I've also had people think its funny to pull on my tail.  When that happens I just turn around and tell them that its really attached and it hurts when they do that.  Then ask them what they think a dog or cat would do if they pulled on it's tail.  They usually don't have an answer or say sorry and walk away.

BTW, I attach my tail by putting it through a small hole in the back of my pants and tie it around my waist, on skin, with a long shoelace.  So it really dose hurt if it gets pulled with much force.

My best friend's girl friend grabbed my collar and pulled it today and was lets go for a walk. It pissed me off right away. I grabbed her hand was stared her in the eye and was like never do that again...I know I shouldn't have and stuff...but truth I don't feel bad. I think though it had more to do with the fact that I don't like her and she won't get that clue since I hardly talk to her and ignore most of what she says to me. So I think it was more her than anything...but weirdly I saw myself biting her hand and it made me think, is their any one else who gets mad because of things like this or any one who thinks or does things like this when they are angry?

 :-[

You have a right to be pissed about it, your best friend's girlfriend should learn a lesson about personal space. Sometimes I growl or snarl when I'm mad.

Wow its been soooo long since ive been on here. And I get annoyed by leash jokes. But I dont say anything most times. Or i make people feel awkward by telling them only my mate can put a leash on me. xD  Though my I keep meaning to tell my best friend he cant leash me because I will only ever let a mate do so...but alas I never do and so he just keeps up with the jokes when Im furry or some times randomly lol.

Gawd its been a while since I've worn my collar out and about. But then again I dont do much besides work and sleep any more. (: I need to meet some new furs. I've only met one irl and we dont really talk. lol

This is only between Kishi and I, but to eachother, the accusation of association with the Ungulates seems to be a big hit. :P

You shouldn't get to mad, but ya I've seen stuff happen. I was wearing a collar around a group of friends at a church and when I was leaving a guy pulled up next to me with his car rolled down his window, laughed and called me a freak. I don't try to think aboutit though, people are stupid. Thats why I'm a Furry :)

Lucky rabbits feet, and fur coats have always disgusted me since I embraced my furrieness. I've also grown to dislike mainstream anything even to the point of extremes.

I abosutely can't stand it when people diss reptiles. It could be if someone refers to them as slimy, or gross....And when people are so freaked out by them, even though they never give them a try.

I live in a part of florida full of gators and lizards and snakes. In our classroom, often snakes and lizards find their way in. I usually protect them and am the one to pick them up and take them outside, but one kid stepped on a lizard. He regretted that..>.=.>...
