Crime Fighting Furries

Two off-duty police officers went beyond the call of duty after arresting a violent man while dressed in animal onesies.

The Solihull Police duo may not have been dressed exactly for the occasion but the element of surprise was to their advantage when a man in the street became threatening earlier this week.

Dressed as a zebra and monkey, the officers wrestled the man to the ground before he was taken away in a panda car.

A picture of the crime fighters was posted on the official Solihull Police Twitter account with a detailed account of the arrest.

‘Off duty officers dressed in Zebra & Monkey onesies arrest a violent man in the street – @SolihullPolice keeping you safe whatever it takes,’ read one message posted yesterday.

‘Man threatening to kill people didn’t expect to be wrestled to the ground by our off-duty officer in a Zebra onesie. We go that extra mile.’

Paying tribute to the pair, ‘cunningly disguised as a zebra and monkey’, the West Midlands Police force warned ‘justice never rests’ even when its officers are off-duty.
