*sigh* how many times is this going to happen before america does anything? like really... what is wrong with our county....

people are just going to start blaming firearms for these shootings (all ready are), when in reality its our people that is the problem. if we ban firearms then these people will chose the slightly harder method of building bombs like the one during the boston marathon.

the fact that we have people who want to kill others is the problem, people will always find a way to kill to taking away certain methods wouldnt do much.

I know but sadly our president isn't exactly doing the right things(no offense to anybody, or who will take that wrongly). Guns don't kill people, people kill people using a gun. Banning guns won't help. Think why didn't
Germany invade Switzerland(there is other reasons this is just 2)? ALL the citizens are required to own a gun,(plus it's small but strong army) it's even like that today(plus in a time of invasion people could defend themselves, that's a huge plus).Anybody could Easily conceal a knife or make one(same what you said Grey they can make a bomb). Why don't we ban cars those kill people? Oh wait somebody killed somebody with a fork well now have to ban all the forks in our country.

Banning anything without reason is stupid, and I could see having a bad background you shouldn't be able to own a gun. Hey guns are one of our rights as a citizen of the U.S and taking it away is NOT ok. Guns are ok in the hands of a law abiding citizen. That doesn't mean you take away the law abiding citizen's guns. You take unlawful citizen's guns away not everybody's guns.

I think you get my point; banning everything won't help.

I feel very bad for the families affected by this tragedy.
As long as there is hate and ignorance I fear we will continue to have such violence.
The tools of violence will always be available. Be it guns, knives, clubs, bombs or whatever.

We need to treat the problem of hate and ignorance as well as try to keep dangerous
weopons out of the hands of the mentally ill.

Mental defect or illness can't always be deterined ahead of time. Most people are sickened
by those who promote hate, and violence. Others are encouraged by it. This person was
likely caught up in the hate spewed out by those who wish to blaime the countries ills on
those who are different. Be it race, religion, or lifestyle.

If we wish to debate the how's and whys of gun control we should take it to the Debate forum.
I heard on the news this individual was carrying a legal gun and was licensed to carry it.

Actually, I was in the process of typing up a text-wall comment - something that DOES belong in the Debate forum.  I've gotten my approval, so I'll make that topic.
