In the United States, we celebrate Veterans Day today. When I was a little kid, all I'd think about was getting a day off from school. Now though, I've learned the cold, hard truth about war and it's pointless horrors. I can't even begin to imagine going through what any soldier has to at war's worst moments. If World War III ever happens, I'll jump in at a heartbeat to serve my country, but my god I hope it never has to come to that.

How fitting to have Rememberance day and other similar holidays be chosen to commemorate the end of the first Great War. How on earth World War I didn't end all wars forever boggles my mind.
