It's doubtful Trump will do much work at the job of
president between now and the election in 2020.
Already he is  having 2 or more rally's a week. Even
showing up at big games. Just more proof Trump is
more interested in being reelected than doing his job.
Which he spends little time doing.

He still hasn't paid costs to cities who have to provide
security, and crowd control for his rally's. At the rate he
is going, he will be owing 10's of millions to cities he
likely will never want to pay.

Trump wants his supporters to think he is innocent of
anything the Democrats claim. He doesn't want them to
know he is guilty of bribery and extortion. When he told
his administration to not release funding to Ukraine. He
wants them to believe his lies about his claims of Ukraine's
corruption instead. Each time he talks to the media he just
rants and raves about how bad he is being treated by the
News media, and the Democrats. When Trump leaves office,
either by removal or by loosing the election, he should be
taken directly to jail. Just as any other American citizen
would be having done the crimes.

To be sure the GOP will do their best to turn the upcoming
public impeachment hearings into a circus. These GOP
members have no excuse trying to cover up Trumps
law breaking. In fact every last one of them should
be removed from office as well. Because their guilt
even worse than Trumps. It's against the law for
anyone to protect or support a law breaker as
the GOP is doing. It makes no difference, even if
their voters want Trump. It's not their decision to
make. Besides, their voters have been lied to, so
they don't know how to vote.

The GOP should be defending the country, by telling
their voters the truth. Instead they shake in their boots
afraid Trump will call them names. Or loose their seat in
congress.

It's time we put term limits on our politicians.  As is
people in congress never want to leave. Serving  there
should be a duty, not a lifelong career. Allowing them
to stay encourages lie's and corruption.

If you wonder why it costs so much to go to a doctor, or
especially the emergency room. It's because the rich doesn't
care, because to a billionaire it's pennies to them. Since they
run the country they want to help their rich friends that run
big insurance who make billions by raising premium costs.
They have no incentive to cut health care costs, because they
can decide who and what to cover, while individuals either pay
or die.

There are 600 billionaires in this country, and most of them
only care about themselves. They see the progressive Democratic
party as a threat to their riches. So they spend hundreds of millions
hiring GOP politicians to protect those riches. They pay the conservative
media to lie and convince the public health care will bankrupt the
country.

We can expect they will use their money even more this year, because
more people are voting than ever. They see this as a danger to their
control of the country. If we stand by and let them get their way our
costs of living will continue to grow, and even 2 jobs won't be enough.

It's time we as voters make the rich pay their share. They use the
infrastructure to make their billions. So they should help pay the
costs the same as every one else does. To be sure they will complain
and make excuses, and to say it will hurt the economy. Well the only
economy it will hurt is making it harder for them to pay for their
forth mansion. I have no problem with people having a lot of money.
It's when they use it to take advantage of those who have nothing
that grinds my gears.

The GOP continues trying to get the name of the Whistle blower to
Trump their King. Even though to expose a whistle blower is against
federal law. Just more law breaking by Trump and the so called law
and order party. It's time they were removed from office. Every last
one. It's not just politics as many one to  claim. It's breaking the law!!.

It's likely this attempt to reveal the whistle blower,is to discourage others
from doing the same thing. The Trump administration is so corrupt, they
likely think it will cause other whistle blowers to come out.

The GOP doesn't want to talk about the crimes of Trump. Instead
they try to dodge and divert peoples attention away from them
instead. By only wanting to talk about how unfair the Democrats
are, hoping the public will think it's a lot about nothing in the end.

GOP members are trying to say since Ukraine got the aid anyway
Trump did nothing wrong. This is a lie because even an attempt to
break the law is a crime. Say a robber goes into a store, and after
stealing something, is caught before they could get away.  The robber
would still be guilty of attempted robbery. If you don't think so as any
lawyer or policeman.

Trump is not new to bribes and extortion. He  does this every day
with GOP members of congress and the Senate. Offering large
amounts of money for their campaign if they will stand by him.
If they don't he threatens to get them removed from office, by
supporting an opponent in primaries. I think they worry too much.
Trump hasn't had much success with his support. Several people
running for office have lost even with his support. In fact there is
talk some may tell Trump to stay away during their next campaign.

The Democrats seem to  forget that Trump just barely won in 2016.
Mostly due to many voters not getting out to vote, because they felt
H. Clinton was going to win anyway. Even Trump thought she was going
to win. In fact it was only the electoral system that elected Trump, not
the people. Trump hates it, but the fact is he lost the popular vote by
nearly 3 million votes.

I think Trump and the GOP are betting the electoral  system will put
him back in the white house, no matter how bad he looses the
popular vote. I do hope he looses by a greater amount than he
won by last time. If it's close he and the GOP will go all the way
to the supreme court, trying to get it overturned. With a 5 - 4
conservative court he just might get his way. If this was to happen
we really could have riots in the streets.

Now Trump wants to claim the Democrats have edited the transcript
of his phone call. Just shows how desperate Trump is. After telling
the people to read it, he doesn't want them to believe it.

Those at the White house apparently worry every time Trump starts
shouting at his TV screens. They all have to snap to attention when
he walks out of the oval office. All expected to say yes sir, and agree
to anything he says or wants. Any other president would be mostly
seen and not heard until he had listened to the facts and read the
reports. Not Trump he thinks he knows it all, and tells everyone too.

Let's have a good Veterans day, and give our respect to those who gave their
lives for a strong country.

The supreme court is hearing arguments about DOCA. Trump wants to
kick them out of the country. Mostly because Obama let them stay, and
we know Trump wants to undo everything President Obama did. It's likely
any decision by the court will be in the spring of 2020, so it will be a
campaign issue. Just as the courts decision on Obama care will be.

Trump wants to claim most all immigrants are leeches on society, but in
most cases immigrants come to this country for a better life. Not
for a handout or commit crimes as Trump and the GOP supporters
wish to think. In fact most immigrants are people that are willing
to work hard, and do much to make our country stronger, not
weaker.

Some may think this business where Trump used Ukraine a lot about
nothing, but it wasn't just trying to make the Bidens look bad. Trump
was trying to help Russia, by claiming Ukraine was guilty of the 2016
hacking of H. Clinton's emails, and not Russia. Why? So the sanctions
could be removed, that punishes Russia for invading Ukraine. If we
stand by and let Putin take over Ukraine, he will continue trying
to rebuild the Soviet Union and control the countries within it's
old boarders.

The GOP prepare to put on a show, knowing their King will be watching.
They are in a bit of a box because Trump wants total loyalty. So even if
they feel the public might like a particular attack, it must please Trump
 as well.

Lately Trump has been jumping from one excuse to another, so it's
been hard for the GOP to keep up with his talking points. I wish
they would just tell the truth, and let the chips fall where they
may. Then if they want to  keep Trump, the  voters can either
reward them or not.But no, they don't care about the truth,
they just want to hold power. In my opinion they are just a
bunch of rich men afraid the Democrats will take their money,
and give it to the poor.

The GOP and many of their supporters think people like
being poor, and wouldn't work even if given the chance.
The facts are, nearly everyone would rather make their
own way, and not live on handouts. Sure there are a
few who prefer living on the streets, but it's due to
the government making it difficult if they try to
get ahead. If they ask for help, the government
puts all kinds of hurdles in their way. If they make
a dollar, they stand to loose all aid. So why even
try.

We can't put the blame on either party, because
both parties have been guilty of using the poor
to get votes. The Democrats trying to help, and
the GOP wanting to keep them on aid. It's time
we work to help people make a living wage.

Some states want them to have a job to keep medicaid,
but how can a person get a job when they don't even
have transportation, or a telephone. These so called
smart politicians should find them jobs, and see that
they have the means to keep it. Also minimum wage
is not enough for a family to live on in many places.
Yet Trump and the GOP want to get rid of it, much
less raise it.

During the 1960's one job would just bearly keep
the bills paid, but by the end of that decade it was
taking 2 jobs if you wanted any extra money at all,
and it's gotton worse since.

This is why many children end up on the streets.
Both parents have to work, and unless a grand
parent is around to help, they have no one to
guide them. For the good of the country we need
to see no child is left to their own devices. If we
don't more will grow up mad at the world, and
think no one cares.

« Reply #1054 on: November 13, 2019, 01:09:47 pm »

It is sad to see a political party like the GOP turn against the
constitution in favor of a president who works for his personal
interests, even though they put our national security at risk.

Now president Trump is using his authority to pressure Ukraine
to investigate a political opponent. Not only that, but also try to
prove Ukraine was responsible for hacking the Democratic party
in 2016 instead of Russia. Even though it was clearly shown
that Russia was the responsible party by the Mueller report.
Trump has shown over the years a uncommon support for
Putin, the  Russian leader. We can only guess why Trump
feels this way towards a known opponent of the United States.

It is known however Trump wants to expand his real estate
dealing into Russia. Even to build a hotel in Moscow. So it
could be Trump is trying to gain Putin's favor with this in
mind. It is also known Trump has borrowed heavily from
a bank who has roots in Russia. So could it be he is
under pressure to repay these loans? This would be
a good reason to have his tax returns  released.

We also  know Trump was wanting to remove sanctions
against Russia, but was prevented by the GOP controlled
congress. At a time apparently before Trump was able
to fully intimidate GOP members well enough to get his
way.

The GOP minority leader in the public hearing made
the claim that the Democrats consider Trump a Russian
plant or perhaps a spy. I don't remember the Democrats
making this claim, but Trumps actions would lead one to
feel this way.

The two witnesses who appeared in today's public
hearing gave solid support showing Trump desire
to gain information ab out the Biden's for his political
benefit, even if it was false. Even if he had to prevent
the release of military aid to  Ukraine to get it. Even to
say the information meant more to Trump than Ukraine
it's self.

It was also shown Trump had non official people in Ukraine
apparently  to let the new president know he had to play
ball if he  wanted any more aid.  When the US government
officials found this out they started asking questions
which let them know the white house was behind it.
Trump then proceeded to remove those US officials in
Ukraine that could block his efforts.

Now it could be Trump felt he could do this legally, and
may have felt he was doing some kind of business deal.
The problem is he was doing it for his personal benefit
and not for the United states. Something the constitution
does not allow for any government official. Especially the
president.

The GOP went into twisting facts trying to make Trump
sound innocent, and just being a good president when
they took over. So they are using every trick they know
to undo anything said by a witness that might harm their
king.

It is shameful on their part, when they try to cover
unconstitutional acts by anyone, much less a president.

Trump spent time with the Turkish dictator yesterday. The
Turkish leader apparently felt he needed to prove to Trump
how bad the Kurd's are, by showing  Trump a video which
likely  misrepresented the Kurd's. It's common knowledge
that Trump is more likely to believe a video than anything
else. Even GOP members at the meeting commented the
video was suspect.

The big GOP talking point yesterday wasn't about what Trump did,
but about hearsay. It seems unless it comes from Trump directly it's
just hearsay. The big mouth GOP member who demanded that the
whistle blower show up. Was asked, let's put Trump in the witness
chair if you want to know what he really said, but the GOP member
didn't have any answer for that. Because he knew Trump would
never show up, and would likely lie his way into a certain
impeachment if he did.

The one thing that did catch the GOP off guard was the
phone call by Trump to his man at a restaurant in Ukraine.
This call overheard by staff gave more evidence that Trump
was directly behind the extortion of Ukraine. Not only that,
but to use a unsecured cell phone in Ukraine means
the Russians were listening in as well. Trump has been
told time and time again, using a unsecured phone is
dangerous to national security, but Trump never listens.
Perhaps Trump wants the Russians, and other countries
to know what he is doing.  Who can say.

Trump has said he has perfect memory, but each time he
is asked about meeting certain people, or about phone
calls that might make him look guilty. His memory fails
for some reason. I am sure this loss of memory is his
way of protecting himself for possible court battles, since
it's a good defense as any lawyer would tell you.

It seems the only defense the Grand Old Party can come
up with is to say the Democrats are being unfair. Not must
about what Trump is accused of, Because they know his
actions  are impeachable, and to admit that would send
Trump into a screening ranting fit. With them
getting the blame.

Isn't it interesting, when the GOP is in the majority
They say we are in power, so live with it. But when
the Democrats are in the majority, the GOP claim
they are being partisan, and very unfair. They
want the public to forget that the GOP care little
for  compromise, or bipartisanship unless they are
in the minority, or need votes from the Democrats.

Many call this politics, but it should be illegal, no
matter who is in power. It's fine for a party to have
their own ideas about things, but without compromise
nothing good is done. In the mid 1850's we had single
party control that likely led to the civil war. We have to
work together, otherwise too many people are hurt, which
can lead to violence.

Stone, a long time friend of president Trump has been found guilty,
and will be sentenced for his crimes. It wouldn't surprise me if Trump
pardons him. If not now, before he leaves office.

It appears Trump fears the testimony of the former ambassador to
Ukraine. An ambassador he had removed, because she could expose
his attempts to use Ukraine for his own benefit, and of his friends.
Anyone who wants to  believe Trump over her, should ask if she had
such a bad reputation, why did Trump appoint her in the first place?
Why did the GOP senate  approve her if this is true? This person who
has worked in the state  department for 33 years. For republicans and
democrats alike, can  speak with pride about her years of service.

Trump's discussing and tweets of lies about this person, just shows
how bad he is, because she has a clean record of proper service to
our country,  not one of failures as Trump is trying to paint her with.
Doing this while she is testifying is nothing more than witness
intimidation. Not just her, but all those who may wish to speak
out about him. Just more proof to show Trumps abuse of power,
and the office of president.

It seems the GOP feels a president should be protected because
people voted for that person, and their vote should be respected.
Yes, their vote should be respected, but if a person obtains the
presidency with the aim to benefit them self and not the country.
This would be a fraud committed against them, and their vote
should not be considered, since the candidate misrepresented
him or her self.

I sometimes think Trump feels the presidency gives him the
means to commit crimes without consequence. Then when
he leaves power he can be pardoned. If not by himself, he
could resign the day before, so his vice president could do
the job. He could even have the pardon all signed and ready
to go even now. Just needing a date added to it. Not only that
he could pardon all those who aided him if he chose to.

It's apparent the founders never expected we would have
a self serving person elected as president, then protected
by a political party. If they had,  I am  sure they would
have setup a process where he or she could not use
the pardon to escape prosecution. Or allow such a
person to pardon anyone else. Especially if he or she
broke their oath of office.

With each public hearing I imagine Trump is becoming more
desperate. Will his supporters stay with him if he becomes
so extreme with his claims, they become hard to believe.
Will the GOP stay while Trump makes radical claims?
Only time will tell.

The GOP have been trying to say none of the witnesses have
first hand knowledge, but Trump is blocking witnesses who do
have first hand knowledge from testifying. I am sure if the situation
was reversed the GOP would be crying foul to anyone who would
listen.

It seems we do have a mob boss for president. Blocking
witnesses or making threats made toward anyone who isn't
totally loyal is  the trademark of one. Trump may not have
thought his tweet  would cause him  trouble, but to intimidate
a witness while  they are testifying  in a official hearing is
against federal law.

Some may want to say this is just Trump being Trump, but
witness intimidation is a serious crime. Even if some people
want to excuse it. Imagine yourself being charged of a crime,
and your dependence on a witness you have, that can exonerate
you is threatened so they will lie. Causing you to go to jail. I
think you would consider it serious as well.

It seems Trump wants to believe conspiracy  theories  given
to him by friends. It's likely they feed him these theories to
make him happy, and if Trump is happy, he may help them
make a lot of money. This conspiracy of Ukraine hacking the
DNC in 2016 was started by a Russian intelligence agent,
who fed it to Manafort, who told Trump. I think Trump feels
helping Russian's Putin will help him get reelected, as he
did in 2016.

Trump likely feels removing the sanctions on Russia will gain
Putin's help for sure, but he needs a good excuse to remove
them. Trump probably feels putting the blame on Ukraine will do
the job.

The GOP used to consider Russia a threat to our way of life,
but since Trump has been in office, they appear to be changing.
The leader of the GOP controlled senate is helping a Russian
oligarch so he could build a large Aluminum plant in the state
he belongs to. Why, because he thinks it will get him reelected,
and he wants to fill the federal court system with judges that
will only work for big business, and the GOP.

Some may think letting a Russian invest in our country
is good, but it's a foot in the door that may in the future
allow Russia to threaten our economy from within.

Just how far will the GOP go. If Trump is reelected for another
4 years, it's likely influence from Russia will increase with
Trumps help. This shift away from defending the country
in favor of Trump may end up destroying the GOP, because
they are a minority party, and if they make the majority
mad enough they can vote them out of power  permanently.
Perhaps even to have a  constitutional convention, or to amend
the constitution enough to wreck the  playhouse of the super
rich, and the GOP. People who only take, and rarely ever give.

It seems president Trump had a physical yesterday, and
it's no surprise that he was declared totally healthy. Yet
this physical was not a full one, where usually when a
president gets a physical, it's by several  doctors checking
them end to end, so to speak.

Somehow I think Trump is hiding possible health problems.
Because there are reports where he stumbles, and slurs his
speech now and then. This could be early signs of dementia.
It's not uncommon for presidents to hide health issues, but I
am sure Trump would want to hide a hangnail.

The GOP continue trying to say the witnesses are giving
secondhand information. Well this excuse is likely to  fail
with people closer to  Trump testifying soon. It's time the
GOP stand up and admit their king has no clothes, and do
the job their oath requires.

The GOP complain the Democrats aren't being fair in their
hearings. I can guarantee the Democrats are far more fair
than the GOP would be if things were reversed. They want us
to forget when they were in power that they had many private
meetings that kept the Democrats in the dark.

The GOP and their king Trump complain about the LGBTQ and
abortion, but when one or more of them are guilty of sexual
impropriety, they want to look the other way. Of course if a
democrat is accused of this, they are ready to call for their
resignation.

Just where is the so called morality the GOP claim to have?
Just where is their patriotism when their president sides with
a known aggressor (Russia) who attacks our election process?
Where is their claim of law and order when they support a
president who breaks our laws, and attacks the constitution?
Where are they when Trump and his friends attack the courts?
Where are they when Trump treats children like animals?
Why do they want judges that only support their ideas, and
not those of the majority.
Where are they when Trump wants to remove people knowing
they will die without the health care they need to live. Even
though  they were invited here in the first place?

This minority party works hard to  run our country in the
way they want, and not the way the majority wants. It's
time they are punished by voting them out of office.

It seems they are willing to suck up to anyone, even a corrupt
president if they feel it will get what they want. This is how
countries fall into chaos and anarchy.

Yes I can see the attraction  to having a autocrat like Trump for
a president, but even though such a  president can accomplish
a lot, they can  also cause a lot of harm.  Because there is
nothing to  control them. Just look at Russia. Their leader is
the head of  a criminal group of oligarchs, who tell their people
what  to do or what to say, if they want to  stay alive or out of
prison. That could happen here if we  sit back and not vote
to keep our democracy. We already have the rich wanting
to  run the country, so all they need is a leader who is willing
to make them even richer, as Putin does for his oligarchs.

Trump like all leaders who want total control, use threats,
and cover up their wrong doing. Trump seems  to believe a
business model is best. Trouble is  businesses  are
dictatorships, which do a terrible job running a society.
Trump is a lousy businessman anyway, and would
likely be broke if it wasn't for a huge inheritance. This
is likely why he keeps getting himself into trouble. Because
he wants to operate like a dictator, and not a president.

There will be another democratic debate this week. Still 10 on stage.
It appears this many may enter the primaries. So it will be interesting
to see who Iowa decides they want. A win there doesn't seal the race,
because in many cases others went on to win the nomination.

Trump is starting to complain about his secretary of state. Saying
he shouldn't be allowing his people to testify in the impeachment
hearings. Since Trump doesn't like anyone who isn't totally loyal
to him. He may fire his secretary of state before long.

If he does, we will likely have another acting official working for
president Trump. Over a dozen so far. Trump appears to not care
to send a nomination to the senate. Just hire acting ones instead.
The problem with acting officials, they have no real authority.
Trump wants and thinks he can run the country and the government
all by himself. Almost half  the offices in the white house have no
one working in them. So it's likely people who depend on
government services are going without.

The GOP lost the governors race in Louisiana. Even though
Trump did his best to help the GOP man win. Is this a warning
to the GOP and Trump? So far Trump doesn't seem to see it
as such. I guess his big rally crowds have him feeling invulnerable.
It could be Trump will do better on the ballot than those he campaigns
for, but I think the GOP leadership may feel otherwise after a second
big loss in a GOP stronghold.

If the GOP continues it's losses, the GOP leadership may decide
they need a new man to run for president. I hope they do. Trump
would go nuts, and run as an independent. Killing any chance the
GOP might have.

Trump is saying he might testify or answer written questions
for the impeachment hearings. I see this as just more delay.
Trump's lawyers would not want him to sit and answer
questions. They know he would be on a rant as soon as
the chairman  began the hearing, and the GOP would be
white with fear, and afraid to speak.

The last time Trump was on the witness stand in a court,
he told lies, and got himself in trouble. This was in the
past before  elected to office. Trump can't help himself.
He just has to gripe and shout if he feels threatened.
This is likely why he doesn't like courts of law, much
less called to them.

Also the committee would likely be waiting for weeks to get
any written questions answered by Trump.

I am sure most of us have seen the demonstrations in Hong Kong.
Well this could be our future if we don't put a stop to the far right
and Trump. A minority who is only interested in power and money.

Think not? Sure a minority may like authoritarian control, but
this will lead to unrest, when the far right passes laws to punish
minorities for not bowing to their control, and the LGBTQ. Not
counting the way they want to  treat women. They think women
should stay in the home and raise kids. No abortions either,
unless they  are rich enough to have it done outside the
country.

Going from a democracy to authoritarianism is a shorter
step than most people think it is. So we must vote,
because if those who desire power by illegal means
gain control, our votes may not count. In 2017
Trump was claiming many voters were illegal.
We can expect the same if Trump looses in 2020.

The public impeachment hearings continue. If you have been
watching, I am sure it's easy to tell how much pressure the GOP
is in. They have no shame. They are doing their best to discredit
anyone who tells the truth as they know it, because Trump wants
this done. No matter who it hurts or danger it might put them in.
They must protect Trump or he will call them a never Trumper.
A term anyone should be proud of. But apparently bad news
for a GOP congressman who doesn't kiss Trump's feet.

They didn't even respect a respected service man, who's only
crime in that he didn't support Trump's lies. The same for others
who were not the least bit partisan, but as I said just guilty of
not supporting Trump and his puppets.

I imagine most people watching these hearings can see what
the GOP is trying to do. I imagine Trump supporters love the
GOP's attempts to protect Trump. Those of us who believe in
the rule of law, and order want Trump removed, in spite of
the GOP's attempts to cover up Trumps crimes.

Isn't it interesting that Trump was fine with giving aid to Ukraine
in 2017, and 2018. But in 2019 when Joe Biden interest the race
to get the democratic nomination for president, he suddenly decided
Ukraine must be investigated to get any more aid. To be sure all
corruption is removed. To admit they and not Russia tried to mess
with the 2016 election, and the Biden's. Because Joe Biden could
possibly defeat him if nominated to run for president in 2020.

It's this attempt by Trump to discredit the Biden's, by bribing
Ukraine. Also Trumps further bribing attempts to discredit the
Russian   involvement in the  2016 election to Ukraine. Is what
the GOP is trying desperately to disprove. Even though they
very likely know Trump did it. It wouldn't be the first time the
GOP has tried to make a lie sound true. They do it just about
every time they and others run for office.

Isn't it strange, even though Trump claimed he would hire
the best people when he was running for office. So why do
we see  many of Trumps men indicted,  and some now in jail.
Trump himself would likely be in prison \if he  didn't have the
immunity of being president. So why  does the GOP, who claim
they care about law, and order  stand up for the most corrupt
president in American history?

Loosing the 2020 election is Trumps biggest fear, and will likely
do anything in his power to win reelection. Including using the
powers of the presidency to do so. It's likely the GOP
controlled Senate won't vote to remove Trump, Unless the
GOP leadership feels it will benefit them politically. If so they
would dump Trump in a heartbeat. Secretly they dislike him,
and would love to  hand the job to the Vice President, but
-they fear Trump's supporters, and his tweets.

Re: Trump the GOP and Democrats. A new path or more of the same.
« Reply #1061 on: November 21, 2019, 12:57:11 pm »

The debate went pretty well last night. I kind of wonder how
many took the time to watch after a day full of hearings about
the crimes of Trump and his cronies. Mostly they made promises
that will be hard to keep unless the democrats can get a majority
or even better, 60 seats  in the senate. You can be sure the GOP
will fight to support their rich supporters. Because without them
they would likely loose  elections.

Yesterday one witness  stated that everyone at the highest levels
knew what Trump  was up to. Even the Vice president, and state
department. I  imagine Attorney  General Barr knew as well, but
didn't seem  too interested in  being involved.

The hearings continue giving evidence that Trump wanted the
Ukraine president to say his government was investigating the
Biden's, and election interference during the 2016 presidential
election. Apparently Trump hoped this would destroy Joe Biden's
chances for nomination, or winning the presidential election.

Of course the GOP committee members do all they can to offer
doubt to the public, hoping to discredit the witnesses. Also they
are putting  on a show to please Trump. I am sure he worries the
statements by the witnesses will cost him votes, and perhaps the
election. So he pressures the GOP to stand solidly behind him, hoping
the public will believe its just a partisan attack by the democrats
to get rid of him.

One sad thing about all this is it discredits any attempts we make
to curve corruption around the world. How can they believe us
when those at the top of our government are so corrupt. I sometimes
think Trump is asking Putin for advice. We know Trump looks up to the
Russian dictator with awe, and envy. So why wouldn't he take advice
from a man like that? A man who is corrupt to the bone.

Standing back and looking, the Trump administration is looking more
and more like that of Putin's administration. Rich oligarchs and a congress
that follows his demands. All Trump needs is a hit squad, and if he is in office
for another term he may get one.

Over the years I have heard those in the GOP say the Democrats will
wreck the economy, and cause the down fall of our country. Because
of a bloated government that spends too much, and over taxes the
people. This is the line they used to spread. Since the election of
Obama, I really don't know what they think. Seems they will use any
lie or misrepresentation to win control of the government. Then when
they have it, they loose interest in the common man. They seem to
think the U S A should be a bastion for the rich, and any attempt by
the democrats is a desecration of their plan. So they use any means
to stop voters that don't support the GOP, or convince the public
only they deserve to rule.

I think it's interesting that Trump implies a lot of people have his
concerns, when he accuses others of bad deeds. When in fact it's
just himself when he makes the statement. I suppose he thinks his
statement alone will cause many others to believe him. Even if it's
a lie.  President Trump is one man I believe could pass a lie detector
test while telling any lie he wanted. Yet I think he tells so many lies he
has trouble keeping them straight. Perhaps even to start believing his
own lies after while. His lies total over 13,000 since taking office.

He claim's the Democrats aren't doing any thing but trying to
impeach him. What he doesn't say, is well over 300 bills lay in
the senate, because the corrupt leader of the senate won't bring
them up fora vote. Just to keep Trump from having to veto them.
Veto's  that might hurt him politically.

Many people seem to feel almost every politician is corrupt, So they
think even though Trump is corrupt, he isn't any worse than the rest.
This is just a  cop out, because to accept a crook this way harms  us
all.

Too many times people say, You can't fight city hall.  This is only
the case when people sit back and do nothing. Politicians become
corrupt when people ignore them. A democracy only remains
strong when it's people work to  keep it that way. If a man
or woman fails to do their job, it's time to replace them. This
is why we need term limits. To stop people from making a
career of government service. No matter how  good they
appear to be. Without change a system degrades, This is
why we need new people with new ideas, Society changes
with time, and  those who make laws should be changed
too.

Trumps friends in the senate plan to investigate  the Biden's. This
is just more noise by the GOP to help their King. Not for the good
of the country. They are calling for all information about Joe Biden
and his son from the state department, and else where. What do
you bet they get full cooperation, unlike the information requested
by the impeachment hearings, which was blocked by Trump.

Trump was chasing his tail on Fox news saying how unfair the
democrats were. He lied saying the GOP had no witnesses . They
had three. People who worked in the white house. Trump didn't
like them, because they didn't lie for him. So he ran them down
by saying they were low level staff. Even though they were very
smart people who wouldn't turn against the constitution for
president Trumps favor.

Trump apparently want his supporters to think the impeachment
inquiry is like a trial, but it's not. It's only an investigation. So
courtroom  terms mean nothing, no matter what Trump claims.
If the attorney general was doing his job, he would be assisting
the impeachment inquiry instead of working for Trump.

Trump is in a hurry for the impeachment trial, because he plans
to use the results in his campaign to be reelected. I really  doubt
if enough GOP senators have the guts to remove Trump. So he
will stand at his rally's and claim he has been proven innocent.
Not only of his impeachment, but of the Mueller investigation.
An investigation that gave proof of his abuse of power. If
Trump  was under indictment, and tried in a normal trial
with a jury of nonpartisan citizens. He would likely be convicted
on all counts, and spend the rest of his life in jail.

Even if the GOP senators don't wish to remove Trump
They should at least acknowledge the fact he was
wrong to use his power for personal gain. Yet they
don't even want to do this for fear that Trump will
attack them, and possibly cost them their office.

The GOP members are making comments about why many of the
witnesses were born in foreign countries. Well  perhaps it's a warning
sign of complacency. Perhaps it takes someone with a better understanding
how great a democracy is to stand up against a corrupt president, when they
really  understand how bad it is to live under an authoritarian dictator.
Their parents know, because they have experienced it, and told their
children how lucky they are to  live  here as they grew up.

So people born here have only read about such places. They
haven't  any understanding unless they know someone who can
really explain it to them.  Also people of privileged often don't
experience the same problems even in an a authoritarian system.

It's unfortunate, but people become complacent  once they have
a life that is good. They only become concerned when they
start feeling the pain, when they loose their rights. Then they are
willing to stand up and fight for themselves and their children. The
problem with this, is by the time they realize the need to fight they
often have to die, or loose everything while attempting to  regain their
freedom, and some will turn in their friends to gain favor, or to
keep a bit of power.

I think the GOP and even supporters of the far right are guilty of
this, by turning against our constitution, and way of life. Hoping to
keep power, or gain it. They foolishly believe those they put in
power will give them favor. But even they will suffer in the end.
Once a dictator has control he will kill and start wars to keep it.
The general public is just fodder for his needs. He will take a
country  down rather than give up power.

I wish more people cared enough to stamp out corruption, no
matter who it is. Not look the other way to get some small gain.
Some are willing to even give up rights in a means to an end.
This is like selling your soul to the devil, because you will
always loose in the end.

The people who testified during the past two weeks have shown,
not only did Trump try to extort and bribe the president of Ukraine
to hurt Joe Biden with a false   investigation. He is guilty of
supporting the Russian claim that Ukraine, not Russia was
involved in our 2016 election. Apparently with threats and bribes
the GOP is going along with Trump's lies, and support of Russia
our greatest adversary.

The GOP a party who used to stand for patriotism, the constitution
and the rule of law, is letting Trump drag them into a world where
corruption rules instead of the constitution. Apparently because they
fear the loss of  political power to the Democrats. A party they believe
will bankrupt the country with their tax, and spend idea's. Something
that worked very well until their idea of trickle down economics designed
to help the rich,  was started  by the GOP when Reagan became president.
Since then the  spending power of the middle class has changed little
while the rich  has grown quite a lot, while the cost of living forces the
others to do without or work at 2 or more jobs.

President Trump continues to use his marketing skills trying to
convince his supporters that he is innocent, and the greatest
president ever. This con artist cares nothing for his supporters
except for their votes. Oh he stands in his rally's crying how
great he is, but refuses to let people in that might cause his
followers to start thinking instead of listening to him.

A salesman cannot let people think he might be wrong about
nything. It's the quickest way to loose a sale. I know from
over 40 years of business experience this is true, and
Trump does  as well.

If you ever watch him speak to an audience, you can see he
follows the rules of public speaking. Look at your audience while
speaking, and above all include your audience. He does this by
claiming his opponents are not only against him, but those in
his audience as well.  Also he fishes for speaking points that
get cheers, and builds on them. Trump never was a good
businessman, but quickly learned how to not only be a good
salesman, but a con artist as well. Just ask anyone who has
done business with him. Banks and business people alike avoid
Trump like the plague, because you have to  sue to get paid.

Some may think this makes Trump a smart man, but woe
to anyone he owes money to. This is why he has to use
foreign banks to  borrow money. I think this is one reason
he is working so hard to hide his tax returns. He fears  if
his supporters find out who he does business with they
might not support him anymore.

Trump has admitted dealing with the Mob, claiming it was
necessary to do business in New York. I don't care what he
claims, but when you deal with crooks, it's going to rub off
on you. You can see how he acts even as president. He uses
Mob boss tactics trying to get his way. So we have no idea
how deep this goes.

Unfortunately as one builds wealth they find it harder to be
honest. Many billionaires are honest people, but many are
not, because it's easier to make money by being dishonest,
and it's been proven, riches is like a drug. The more you have
the more you want. Like any addict some will break laws to
get their fix. So it's no wonder why Trump has hired dishonest
people. People who live in his  world, where money is everything.

I really hope we don't go from Trump to another billionaire. No matter
how well intention they might be. All billionaires have too many
conflicts of interest to be a good president. Besides money corrupts,
and a lot of it corrupts even more. I find it hard to believe any of
them would give up a huge part of their riches for the good of
the country. Do they understand, being president is being a
public servant? Trump sure doesn't. I just don't see a billionaire
going from a ruler of industry to a servant of a country. They
are rich because of ego, and being a master of their world.

Trump has no respect for women, just look at how he has treated
them in the past. Anytime a woman stands up against him he calls
them names, and runs them down. Accusations of sexual impropriety
follows Trump even though he tries to deny it all. That video where
he told how he treated women said it all.  Basically saying women
follow money and will let you do anything to them if your rich enough.

Trump continues to brag on "his" economy. But the economy is
more than the stock prices he loves to brag about. The real
economy is slowing down. Trump and the GOP claimed their
big tax cut would bring about 4% or more growth. Well it's
Growing only at 2%, and may only be 1% in the fourth quarter.

I am sure Trump and the GOP would not want to admit it, but
under Obama growth was a steady 2%. So Trump and the GOP
have nothing to brag about. In fact Trumps illegal tariffs are
killing home owned farms. Many are only surviving on Trump
welfare. Paid for by the public due to tariff induced higher
prices.

Trump wants to brag about how much money big oil, and gas is
making, and how it cuts into Russian sales in Europe. That
is good for them, but Mr. and Misses America are not doing so
well. Having to work 2 jobs and doing without to make ends
meet. Doing without needed medicine due to the money
grubbing pharmaceutical industry. Prices Trump claimed
he would work to lower. Just more lies by our corrupt
president and the GOP.

The GOP is so afraid of Trump they won't stand up
for our country. Trump has looked to Russia ever
since they started loaning him the money he needs
to survive. Trump will do whatever Putin wants short
of handing him the keys to the white house. When
Russian planes harassed our navy ships in the black
sea, Trump told his staff to not talk about it, and our
navy to just live with it. I find it hard to understand
why anyone would support a president who is selling
himself, and his party to an enemy of our country.

Now I wouldn't have a problem with conservative
media, if they would just say it like it is. Telling lies
and misleading the American public is un American.
If they wish to talk about conservative ideas, fine,
but supporting a corrupt president and party is
just wrong. I am sure they wouldn't support
anyone else who would do them harm.

A one time friend of Joe Biden is turning against
him because he wants to please Trump. A GOP
senator who called Trump a terrible person in
2016 is  selling his soul to Trump. Like many
in the GOP, they put their desire of their political
office over the good of the country and the
constitution.

Trump continues to abuse the pardon power of the presidency. He
pardoned a navy seal, because he felt his removal was unfair to the
man's service in the military. Trump needs to understand, even when
a person works hard to gain a position, wither it be civilian or in the
military. The job requires this standard of duty must continue. Just
as the job of president. Trump put in a lot of time and work to be
elected, yet he feels now  he can just lay back an work when he
wants. The job of president is 24/7, not 9 to 5 on weekdays.

Trump promised to be on the job more than Obama, but hasn't spent half
the time Obama did while in office. Spending much of his time playing golf
at one of his resorts. During the first 6 months, Trump charged the secret
service 250,000 dollars for doing their job of protecting him and his family.
Since Trump only wants to stay at his personal resorts, much of the money
when straight into his pocket. Some praise him for not accepting his salary,
but he breaks the constitution by making money using the office of president.
By law the only money he is to be paid personally is his salary. I am sure he
would complain, but it's part of being president.

Most are saying Trump should stay out of military court decisions. Well it's
too bad, but Trump has a right to be an idiot, because his intervening in
such decisions  that go against the chain of command is a big mistake. If
someone in the military goes against orders, not because the order
is bad, but  because they don't care to  follow the order. They have to
be  punished. Otherwise discipline is lost, and discipline is at the hart
of  the military.  The last thing we want is allowing bad people to be bad.

It's just Trump seems to think common since is best, because he isn't
smart enough to know better. Things are rarely as simple to fix as they
appear to be. Especially when dealing with human beings. This is likely
why Trump has been a failure in business. If is father hadn't given
him a half billion dollars to play with, he would likely be broke.

The founders gave the president the title of commander in chief, but
I really doubt if they meant for the president to actually be a super
general. Just a middle man between civilian control and the military.
Trouble with Trumps ego, he likely thinks of himself as a super general.
I hope Trump doesn't get us in a real war, because he might decide
he could run the war better than our experienced Generals, which
would be a disaster.

Senator Lindsey Graham apparently has sold himself to Trump. The
man was dead set against Trump in 2016, but now he seems to think
his support of Trump is his bath to be reelected. It is sad to see a good
senator turn against our constitution just to stay in office. I am sure his
old friend John MC Cain would be ashamed of him if he was still alive.

I fear several GOP senators have convinced them selves they must
stand with Trump. I hope the voters hold them accountable for breaking
their oath of office by supporting a man who cares nothing for our constitution.
They say Trump did nothing to be impeached for, yet he is guilty  of abuse
of power, the emoluments clause, along with bribery. A president only has
to break his oath of office to be impeached. Yet the GOP does not care.
They claim it's because of the voters, but when the voters were against
removal of the ACA, they called them radicals. The GOP lost 40 seats
in the house in 2018, I hope they loose even more along with the
senate in 2020.

The GOP took over the Congress in 2010 by using lies about the ACA, The
far rights fear of a black president, and gerrymandering several states to
gain power.  They worked to  deny president Obama any success, by
doing little, but trying to kill health coverage for those who need it. The ACA
was a GOP plan, but when the democrats worked to pass it, they called it a
disaster, and did their best to add amendments trying to make that true.
The GOP doesn't want to do anything, but make government smaller with
only helps for the rich and big business.

The GOP wants to claim Trump is just doing things in a different way, and
should be allowed to stay in office. Well his different ways are breaking
laws and his oath of office. There is no excuse for allowing anyone especially
a president to get by with that. It's time we vote to remove a corrupt president
and his corrupt followers from office.

Personally I think much of our problems with politicians is MONEY. It's very
hard for the average American to run for any political office when people
with money can spend large sums to convince voters they are the best
man for the job. Yes it's usually a rich man that uses their money in this
fashion.  Just look at the GOP, virtually all are men. Where the democrats
have over 100 women in our Washington DC law making bodies. More than
10 times that of the GOP.

We have 3 billionaires spending millions trying to convince voters they will
do a great job, and will beat Trump if nominated. Or as a independent. While
those who depend on donations stand in their shadow. Now I  am not saying
these super rich men are bad people. On the contrary I think any of them would
make a much better president than Trump. For one thing they are smarter,
and understand the workings of government much better as well. I just feel
people who really know how it is to work hard, and have seen first hand the
needs of Americans would be a much better politician, than a born with a
silver spoon in their mouth multi millionaire who cares more about their
money  than the average persons needs in the country.

If I had my way, all federal and state elections would be paid for by the
government. No one would be allowed to use their money, or donations
except for gathering names on a petition to get on the ballot. Then they
would have the same amount of money as their opponents trying to
convince voters they are best for the job. Once in office they would be
subject to term limits. 6 terms in the house and 2 in the senate. Governors
and presidents would have 2 terms. Also all elections would be won by a
majority vote, including the president.

Some might feel the electoral system brings presidential nominees to their
small state. Perhaps so 200 years ago, but with national television coverage,
rallies are no longer needed for people to hear their policies and plans for the
office. The only reason Trump has all his rally's is because he knows people have
short memories when it comes to politics, and would soon loose interest in him if
he didn't have them. Besides they are just feel good places for Trump to boost\
his ego. He isn't interested in anything they might want to say otherwise.

President Trump wants to have almost 500 miles of his boarder
wall done by the 2020 election. Well I hear there is 83 miles done,
but most of that is just fence replacements. Of course Trumps puppets
are claiming it's almost all new. I also heard he is handing the job over
to his family. So far no money from Mexico to  pay for Trumps folly.) (wall)
I wonder how often they are putting a sign on the wall showing Trump's
name? After all his supporters need a named icon for their king.
He might as well have them lit with flood lights at night.

Another thing, I wonder how many ranchers are going to bow to
Trump and let him build on their land without trying to stop it? If
Trump has to  win law suits to build, It could take months or years
to get anywhere.  During Trumps campaign he told his supporters
that he didn't believe in using public  domain laws. I guess he has
changed his mind, because he plans to use them now.

Trump continues calling the process of law, and the constitution the
deep state standing against him and his supporters. That is if he doesn't
agree with it. The office of President doesn't give anyone the right to break
laws, or the constitution. There is a process for changing laws if they are
wrong. To disobey them because you don't like them is nothing but
Anarchy, and will lead to chaos, and the break down of our society.

With the last appointment to the supreme court, the GOP  have gained
a long desired goal of having control of the high court. We can only hope
they don't use this new  power to drive our country down with their aim
to only help big business and the richest Americans. While everyone else is
forgotten. The richest Americans should remember the French revolution.
If you drag enough people down, they will strike out, and it's usually the
richest people who lose in the end.

It's sad, Trump could have been a good president except for his greed.
Like most con artists, he thinks everyone else is just the same as he is.
So he feels he must fight, or lose it all. Also it's likely he sold himself to
Russia, his credit isn't any good here, so he ran to the only people who
would give him the loans he needs. Now he must help those who loaned
him money, or lose everything.

I just wonder if he is smart enough to know what line not to cross. Russia
and other governments run by tyrants will help a man like Trump if he will
promise a gift in  return. We can only hope Trump doesn't give our democracy
away for his own benefit.

I think Trump knows he may lose in 2020, so he is working hard to fill his
promise to Putin. He tried right after he took office, but the GOP wasn't
under his thumb enough to be able to remove the sanctions Putin expected
him to do. Now with the democrats in control of the house, he can't get
enough votes to do the job. So he is trying to prove Russia is innocent, he
has been claiming it wasn't Russia ever  since he has been in office. Putin
now  wants to claim Ukraine is the culprit, so Trump jumps to the call, and
pressures the president of Ukraine to agree.

The GOP doesn't want to accept the possibility That Trump is a pawn of
Russia's Putin. So they deny and claim Trump isn't, and say it's just the
democrats making the claim. For our countries sake, I hope the GOP is
right, but much of the  evidence has Trumps fingerprints all over it.

It seems Trump's use of filthy language brings him loud cheers. So he
shames the office of the president by talking this way in his rally's. This
shows Trump has no morals, because a president who uses foul language
demeans the high office, and lowers himself to the gutter of society.

These cheers by his supporters shames the GOP as well. They should
have enough pride in themselves to be disgusted by Trumps use of
foul language. I am sure some of them use the same kind of language
them selves, which is their right, but it's a poor example made by a
president to use in front of children in his rally's.  It's likely the people
in Trumps rally's don't realize how bad this example sets for
the next generation. Not just Trumps language, but how he
lies for personal benefit. Something I am sure most families
would punish their children, if they did the same thing.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone. :orbunny:

Interestingly enough the GOP worked with the Democrats to pass a
sanctions bill against China's leaders for their actions in Hong Kong.
Trump was against it. Apparently fearing it would ruin his perceived
friendship with the Chinese leader. Well Trump is fooling himself if
he thinks he has a friend with any dictator. They, like him are only
looking out for them selves. Of course we don't know what kind of
personal deal Trump has, if any with the Chinese leader. We do know
Trump looks out for Trump, no matter who he is talking to.

Trump is still trying to claim he asked nothing from the Ukrainian
president, except that he works to stop corruption. Well the memo's
of his conversations with the Ukrainian president says otherwise.
Also the witnesses in the public hearings stated  Trump wanted
the Ukrainian president  to look into the Biden's involvement,
and find corruption even if  there was none. Then to get on CNN
and tell  the world how  corrupt the Biden's are.

Trump was preventing any military  aid, that was approved
by congress to be sent till the Ukrainian president did as
he wanted. Then when this indefensible  act of Trump was
about to succeed, a whistle blower exposed it. So Trump
quickly released the aid, because he knew it was an illegal
act  to hold the aid for personal reasons, and has since
worked to  cover up his involvement.

As usual when he speaks at his rally's, he is a innocent man
the so called deep state, along with the Democrats are out to
remove him from office, only because they don't like him, and
nothing else.

Unfortunately his Cultist following wants to believe him,
including the GOP who is afraid to oppose Trump for almost
anything. Ever since Trump started running for president, he
has played the victim. He knows people often support the
underdog, and has played it all the way. I have a hunch
history will show how corrupt the GOP became in their
defense of Trump. The most corrupt man to ever be
president.

Trump never expected to win, so he is doing all he can to
profit from it. I hope his supporters wake up and see Trump
for what he is. A self serving con artist. The trouble is, the
conservative media is doing all they can to prove Trump to
really be a good president, and the victim of the deep state.
We can only wonder what the so called deep state is. After
all politicians are put in office with votes, not some imaginary
control center invented by the far right. If anyone is the deep
state it's the far right.

People who go to or watch Trumps rally's should realize there,
is a strong possibility he has people there hired to start cheers
and chants. He did this at the very beginning. He paid people
50 dollars to clap and cheer for him. About 90 if I remember
correctly. He did the same thing at every debate he was at.

It only takes a small group of people, a 100 or so to start
chants, even in a big audience. Trump is a professional at
manipulating people. His supporters should take the time
to look at his history. Trump hasn't changed, and never will.

Trump can't help, but believe almost any story told him
by the far right, and those he trusts. Especially if he feels
they have some credibility, and follow some belief he may
hold. The reason he doubts the CIA, and FBI is likely because
they either made a mistake, or oppose something he wants to
believe.

He wants to blame the CIA for leading us into the war with
Iraq. Even though it was president Bush and his crowd that
wanted to modernize Iraq's oil production. Also to possibly
turn Iraq into a democracy. It was a bad idea that killed
thousands and cost us over a trillion dollars. Not only
that, Iraq is still a mess, after years of us trying to
help them. It just proves you can't change a culture,
even if you get rid of the leaders.

Trump is cozy with Saudi Arabia because they sped a
lot of money on him. He doesn't care that they treat
women like second class citizens. He doesn't care
how many people they kill. He even has the U S sell
them weapons they want, so they can have a war with
a neighbor who doesn't agree with them. Trump
has sent thousands of U S troops there to protect
their oil facilities. Even though we no longer need
their oil. He wants them happy so they will continue
to be his friend, and spend lots of money on him. They
own a whole floor of this New York Trump tower. I
understand they paid Trump 50 million for that floor.

Now it's fine for Trump to make money for himself,
but not using the office of president to do so. This is
something Trump doesn't seem to understand. He
seems to think returning his salary is a big deal, but
it's the only money he can legally make as president.
Yet he works to make millions from the oval office.

His supporters might think this is cool, but it's against the
constitution. Trump took an oath on the Bible to keep the
laws, and protect the country, and the constitution. Yet he
was hardly in office at all before he broke his oath. An oath
he apparently  thinks is a joke.

It's time the GOP and his supporters wake up and stop
supporting a man who is nothing but a self serving
con artist who cares only for himself. The only great
thing he will ever do is great harm to our democracy.

His supporters might think stopping immigrants at
our boarder is a good thing, but this country was
built on the backs of immigrants, and everyone
but the American Indian is a descendant of a
immigrant. Even Trump.

The republican party is playing with fire by supporting a lawless  president.
A party with only 29% of the population, they are  very dependent on
independents to win any election. A party who does little to support
the women of their party is a dangerous game. I personally know how
members of the GOP treat their women. They tell them how to vote, and
consider them good housekeepers and mothers, but don't want them
in government, because they care about people. Something that would
cost the rich supporters of the GOP money.

If you doubt this, just look at congress, and the senate. The GOP
members are almost all men. Not only men, but mostly white men,
with few minorities. Trump is working to move the party back to
the days of the 1950's. A time where black people were second
class citizens, women were expected to stay in the home, and
Gays  were considered to be godless criminals. Abortion was illegal,
and it may again be soon. Minorities were mostly used as an under
class of workers, by the upper middle class and the rich, mostly
for stoop labor.

In the past the far right was considered to radical too get anywhere in
politics, but with Trump they have gained a lot of power. A power  that
is dangerous to our democracy. Because they only want our country to
be controlled by rich white men. They claim they are for a free market
system, but they help big business get rid of competition instead. They
work  to increase profits on the backs of the poor. This worship of greed
will  not only damage the GOP, it will damage the country as well.

This "Deep State" the Far right, and Trump complain about is the
rule of law, and our constitution, not some secret class out to get
rid of Trump, and his Lilly white followers. The GOP senators haven't
the guts to stand up to Trump, and remove him from office. The only
way, will be to  vote him, and the gutless senators out of office.

If we don't, our country will no longer be the land of  the free, and
home of the brave. It will be the land of Trump instead, and Trump is
moving us closer to Russia. A country the far right apparently wants
to embrace. Because Putin appears to have a very conservative set
of laws. Laws that keep undesirables either in jail, or out of the public
eye. Something the far right and  Trump would like to have here.
This includes any and all rights of free speech. Because it threatens
those who break laws, and lie to stay in power.

If we just sit and  don't speak out, people like Trump will rule our
lives. Unfortunately most people just want to sit back and let the
world go by. Then when things go bad, they wonder why, and want
to blame others. I may be too concerned, as a personal friend has
told me, but just sitting and watching does little good. So expect
me to continue as long as I can, or until the 2020 election. After
that anything I say will do little good. Especially if the worst
happens and Trump is reelected. Then anyone speaking out
against him would be at risk.

There is no evidence that people living on government aid are happy
with their life style. Oh I have heard the conspiracy theories that they
just sit and have kids. Even those that tell of people on food stamps
buying steaks for their dog, because food stamps won't pay for dog
food. This would be silly, I doubt if anyone would spend a limited
fund source on food that is much more expensive than a bag of
dry dog food. Food stamps is a co pay. They have to buy the
stamps, the cost is based on the money they have to spend.

I have also heard that some buy a  pack of gum to get the change
from a dollar food stamp. I am sure some people use every trick to
get money so they can buy things the stamps won't cover.

This is no excuse to punish everyone who depend on them because
a few try to cheat the system. Yet president Trump plays on his voters
ignorance. He wants to cut funding for food stamps and other government
aid that helps feed the poorest people in this country. Using the excuse
it's because of people cheating. Why, because he thinks his supporters
will like him for it. Because he knows they believe the conspiracy theories and
lies that circle the internet, and if he says it's true.

The GOP claims they are for a good economy, but when they cut aid for
the poor it hurts businesses in towns and cities across the nation. The
poor use the aid to buy food and other items they need. This benefits
small business, and discount stores like Walmart. Yet the GOP worries more
about tax hikes for the rich than the businesses who depend on spending
by the needy.

Trump claims he cares about kids, but cuts to food aid puts kids at health
risks due to not having enough to eat. The same can be said about the
GOP. Where are those in the GOP who claim to care about the unborn.
Shouldn't they care just as much about them after they are born?

People support Trump because he is working to stop abortion. These people
who hate abortion are hypocrites for the most part. In my state, the GOP
is doing their best to stop abortion in the state. They do it for votes, not
to save the unborn. I say this because they removed thousands of kids
from medicate roles, which has cost the lives of an untold number of
sick children. Yet the antiabortionists say nothing about this. So what's
their excuse for not caring about the born? Also they only blame doctors,
though doctors never do abortions unless the woman wants it done. Yet
the antiabortionist never go after women, just the doctors. Especially
the GOP and Trump, who appear to only care about votes.

The GOP is supporting Trump all the way. Nothing seems to
turn them against him. Oh I have heard them say it's because
their voters support Trump. Well when they tried to get rid of
Obama care, they ignored the fact most voters support Obama
care. They ignored the fact most people didn't support their tax
cut for the rich. They only seem to care if their rich supporters,
or voters care, even though their voters only constitute 29% of
the voters in the country. Trump doesn't appear to understand
that he is the leader of the country, not just the GOP. He has
done little or nothing to  appeal to anyone but the GOP voter.
This could cost him the election if nothing else can.

In the future when a democrat becomes president, I am
sure the GOP will have a fit if he or she acts in anyway
as Trump has. They don't seem to care that this possibility
exists. Otherwise they would hold Trump accountable, and
not hide their heads in the sand while he breaks laws and
misuses his constitutional powers, and ignores those of
congress.

President Trump is flying to a NATO anniversary meeting in Britain today. 70th
If I heard right. Reports are Trump would like to help Putin of Russia with his
plan to dismantel the alliance. This is likely why Russia is working to help
Trump's reelection. Because with another four years Trump could get the
job done.

The GOP senators seem to support Russia's claims that Ukraine was the
guilty party, not Russia who attacked the 2016 election. Is this just a
support of Trump? Or have our GOP senators fell so much under Trumps
control they have to supportd Putin?  I wouldn't say this, but several
GOP senators went to Russia instead of home during a 4th of july period.
Something that seems pretty strange to me. At the very least, not very
patriotic.

The Ukrainian president had a  interview with Time Magazine. I really
don't see how we can believe anything he says about Trump. Because
he is depending on Trump for support and weapons with their fight against
Russian aggression. He should know by now any thing he says against
Trump could stop the aid they desperately need.

Of course Trump cherry picked one of his statements, where he implied
Trump didn't pressure him for the aid. Though his statements were rather
ambiguous over all. Trump still wants to say he cleared him of any wrong
doing. This is typical of Trump, and his con artist tactics.

The GOP and Trump continue to cry that the Democrats are being very unfair
with their impeachment proceedings. Yet Trump won't go or send anyone to
the hearing to defend his actions. He seems to fear it will give credibility to
the process. Something he doesn't want to do.

Trump calls the Democrats a do nothing party, yet he and his puppets in
the senate sits on over 300 bills passed by the democrats in the house. It's
more like the GOP is a do nothing party. They spent years doing little but
complain while Obama was in office, and not much more with Trump. All
moscow Mitch wants to do in the senate is to pack the federal court system
with conservative judges that will support the GOP and big business. They
only care about their rich  supporters and the money they get from them
to help them stay in power.

The do nothing GOP still have no plans to pass gun safety laws. They seem to
think it would cost them votes. In the 1990's Assault rifles were banned, but
when they got power the GOP removed the ban. Since then gun manufactures
have made hundreds of millions selling assault rifles to the general public. Now
there are over 10 million across the country. Obviously  the vast majority of
owners have no plans to do mass shootings with them, but I think they are
more of a novelty to most people. Because they are a poor gun to use for
hunting, and for self defense a hand gun would work better inside a house.

I am sure some feel if the government was to fail or we were invaded, these
types of weapons would be good to have. Well they best have a closet full of
ammo to go along with them, because they use bullets up and a hurry.

The judicial committee hearings start today. To determine if president
Trump should be impeached. As usual GOP members are trying to protect
Trump, their King. They only complain about the process, because the facts
show Trump to  be guilty, not innocent as they wish to claim.

The actions of president Trump show him breaking his oath of office.
His puppet Attorney General works to protect him from any investigation
or crime he might commit. Trump has complained from the time of
each offense that he is perfect and innocent, he as president wants to
be immune from any offense, and tries to say the constitution gives
him that total power, which it most certainly does not.

It would be nice if we could listen in when Trump talks in private to his
GOP subjects. I think most people would be shocked. Trump  demands
total loyalty, and likely makes threats and bribes to get his way. During
a public meeting with his cabinet, each member including the vice
president did everything, but kneel and kiss Trumps feet.

The GOP and Trump both wish to claim it's all about   the Democrats
being mad over loosing the election in 2016. This is nothing but a
diversion as there is no evidence of this. During 2016 the GOP
started a investigation of Trump. When he got the nomination
they dropped it. The Democrats found out about it, and picked
it up. Of course the GOP want to claim the it was wholly started
by the Democrats. Since then the GOP and Trump have worked
to make any complaint about Trump a Democrat issue, so it
can be called partisan.

It's very likely the GOP members of the senate will do as Trump
demands, and vote to keep him in office. They fear loss of financial
aid to be reelected, and to be called unpatriotic scum by Trump on
twitter, and when he talks to news reporters.

This all boils down to protecting the constitution and the rule of
law in our country. Not the Democrats, or Republicans, or even
bless his heart Trump, but our democracy. If Trump was a true
patriot he would resign, but he cares only about himself, his
pocket book, and his pride. Not the rights of us all, or our
country. As bad as president Nixon was, he at least was
a patriot, and resigned for the good of the country.

Trump complains his impeachment is disruptive to  his job as
president. This is just Trump blowing hot air. Nixon, and Clinton
both continued doing their job as president while under  investigation.
So perhaps we should ask, why can't Trump do his job? Is this proof
he isn't good enough to do the job of president?

When asked why the Democrats don't wait to let the voters
decide to remove Trump. They explain Trump wants to misuse his
presidential powers to win in 2020. So they must expose him,
even though they know the GOP won't likely remove him.
Otherwise each time Trump gets away with his criminal acts
he will do more. He plays to dictators around the world, and
turns against our allies. Why? Because dictators will pay for
Trumps help, and democracies won't.

The speaker of the house is calling for the Judicial committee to
go ahead and vote on articles of impeachment. Then to have
the house it's self vote to send them to the senate. President
Trump is in a hurry for his GOP puppets to vindicate him once
the actual impeachment trial in the senate begins. Trump
doesn't want a real trial, because it would bring out all of
his misdeeds. Instead he expects them to just vote to
declare him innocent, so he can go out to his rally's
and claim his defeat of the Democrats, his innocence,
and that he has been vindicated. Not only by the Mueller
investigation, but for his actions with Ukraine.

Of course his supporters will cheer him, as all good cult
members do for their leader. They don't seem  to understand
that he has them by the nose. He will say what they want
to hear, while he proceeds with his plan to enrich himself
and his family. He  cares not for them, or the country. He
only does enough to keep their support and nothing else.

It is sad how he is using Nationalism to benefit himself.
He gave the Turkish leader permission to enter Syria. Likely
to protect his financial interests in Turkey. During his campaign
he admitted he would want to protect his interests there, and
apparently has. The sad thing is his supporters don't seem to
care that his decision will and has cost thousands of lives. They
don't seem to care that Trump is costing lives in Ukraine.
They don't seem to care when he harms immigrant children.

He does all this to feed the needs of Nationalists in our country.
Because he wants their votes. They cheer each time he argues
with foreign leaders. They like it when he appears to stand strong
against other country's, while claiming it's to help the U S A.

Nationalism has it's appeal, but we live on a planet where we must
exist with other cultures and people. To deny this endangers us and
our economy. Yes we need to work toward fair trade, so we aren't
taken advantage of. The problem is Trump isn't smart enough to
do this. If he was, how come he is one of the poorest billionaires
in the country? How come he has gone bankrupt 4 times? How
come his credit is so bad, he has to go to Russia to borrow
money? Having a president who is dependent on how he gets
along with other countries for his finantual health can only
lead to decisions to benefit him first, and the country second.

All this puts the GOP in a box, where they want to keep control
of the white house even though their president is so corrupt
they can't even deny his guilt. Instead they attack his opponents
on process, and not the facts that surround their president.

Though the GOP will vote to keep their King, we can hope good
voters will understand that a vote for Trump is a vote that will
destroy our democracy. Because Trump will continue with his
personal needs over that of the people, and country. Moscow Mitch
of the senate will continue to fill the courts with corrupt judges who
will support the rich over the common man or woman. So we must
win the senate as well. The GOP wants to say government aid is
socialism, but if we don't many will suffer needlessly, while the
rich fill their pockets with money.
