279 days to go. Moscow Mitch, and Trump don't want evidence or witnesses.
Both of which are required in any fair trial. So apparently the GOP and Trump
don't want a fair trial. Just a vote by the GOP controlled senate to acquit
Trump, the most  corrupt president in modern times. So we must ask WHY?
If they do join the president in his cover up, they should be voted out of
office, because they care not for what's right, but for their own benefit.

The so called trial moves to the question stage where senators ask questions
of the defense and prosecution. These questions are asked through the chief
justice who will decide if the question is relevant or not. Time will tell, how
involved he wants to be. Since the constitution doesn't give him much
guidance.

After this there will be debates to decide on witnesses, evidence, and any
other thing they wish to do before their decision wither to remove Trump
or not.

I think it's time we take politics out of the constitution. Because when a
decision that effects us all occurs. Politics should not be involved. Instead
the facts should decide, not by partisan politicians who are only concerned
about the next election, and who will help pay for it. Some might feel voters
should decide. The problem with that is they often don't know what is really
going on, and corrupt politicians won't tell them the truth.

I don't think the founders had partisanship in might when they wrote our
constitution. I think they felt there would always be enough honest people
in government to hold the line on corruption. Unfortunately this idea has
failed. Not just now, but people down through history have tried to benefit
themselves in government. Not just congress, or the senate. It's very rare
for a president, but even there  it happens, and with that power it can be
a danger to our democracy.

I am sure every corrupt mayor or governor  would love to have a partisan
trial when they have been caught doing wrong, and the kind of trial the
GOP is giving Trump would bring smiles to them all. This is why impeachment
trials should not be political, but a real trial with real non partisan jurists. As
is it's rigged when a political leader has control. Control that does nothing
to help justice. As is our impeachment trials have nothing to do with justice
when partisanship takes over. Be it the GOP or the Democrats.

I fear it will take a revolution to make any real changes to the constitution that
would effect political power. Because the voting public isn't interested enough
to make these kind of changes. It would require electing people that the
establishment  would work hard to defeat, and so would big business concerns,
along with the rich.

278 days till the election, and it seems the GOP are betting Trump will
help them win. Otherwise why would they turn against the constitution
in support of him. They may regret their lawlessness, because over the
past 3 years he hasn't been of much help. It may be his supporters like
him, but that doesn't necessarily translate to the GOP members running
for office, because the GOP has lost hundreds of seats across the nation
since Trump won the White House in 2016.

Trumps defense team has made statements that make little or no sense at
all. Almost like they are speaking to Trump instead of the senators. To
please a man who thinks he can do no wrong. One actually stated Trump
can do anything he personally feels is good for the country. No limits at
all, and definitely not impeachable. This lawyer tried on TV to say he
didn't really say this. He should have said he said it to please Trump
instead. Because it's on video.

In a court trial it's illegal for the defendant to intimidate witnesses
or jurists. But both the senate leader and Trump are doing this with
senators to convince them to vote their way. This is fine when trying
to get senators to vote for a bill, but it should be illegal when deciding
a point of law. This act should add another article of impeachment to
Trump, and at least a big fine for the senate leader to pay.

It seems the GOP leadership feels only they know how to run the
country. I think this is just more rich men wanting to control the
system of government for their own benefit. To protect their pocket
book from the Democrats, who will give their money to people they
don't like. People who can just die and remove the surplus population.

Sound familiar? 200 years ago when the book "Scrooge was written,
the rich truly felt they were the elite  of society, and everyone else
were lowly commoners. People they  could cheat, and punish if they
got in the way. This way of thinking is still around, and if we aren't
careful they will return to it. Just like the frog who was slow boiled.
The rich will turn up the heat, by  taking our rights till they have
full control.

We are at a critical time, because if Trump thinks he may lose a
state, he could call the governor, and tell him he must close polling
sites in areas that favor his opposition for the public good. How?
just a claim to protect people from the spread of a disease. A
danger that would be hard to disprove, and could stop thousands
of votes.

Once he wins, even something like this wouldn't get him removed
with the help of his supporters in the GOP. He might just try something
like this, because he has gotten away with breaking the law and his oath
of office already. All for the public good according to Trump, and his
GOP puppets.

277 days left before the people vote. The senate seems prepared to acquit
without any new witnesses or evidence. Is the GOP afraid of what this might
prove? It could just as easily show Trump innocent. It's likely president
Trump who knows the truth, is afraid of what could come out, and has
told GOP senators  to acquit him, without witnesses, and evidence, or else.

They shouldn't be afraid of Trump. If he cost them their seat he would lose
the senate for the GOP. His actions just might do that anyway. Because over
70% of the people want new evidence and witnesses, and by voting no the
GOP senators may  sealed their fate. Perhaps they are betting the people
will have forgotten by election day, but it's very likely the truth will continue
to come out, and they will have to explain their actions time and time again.

The GOP claim witnesses and evidence will take too long. This would be the first
impeachment trial without witnesses. They had a impeachment trial to remove
a federal judge that allowed 22 witnesses. So it appears the GOP feel an
impeachment for a judge was more important than one for the president. Judge
impeachments happen more often than we might think, yet the senate continues
to do it's buisness. The same could be done during diliberation of new witnesses
and evidence for the president. Inspite
of their claim.

This fast joke of an impeachment trial is so Trump can be on TV during the superbowl,
so he can brag to the millions of people watching that he was found innocent of all the
charges by the Democrats, twice. Because he thinks the Muellar report showed him
innocent too. Then to brag about how great a president he is during a state of the union
adress on February 4. Though an acquitment by a simple vote of his party is hardly
proof  of innocence, he will still claim it.

With this escape from conviction Trump will have no fear to use any means to win in
November. So we can expect to hear Trump call his opponets anything but fit to hold
the office of president. Because only he can save the country from all the bad
conspearacies he can come up with.

There is a rumer that Moscow Mitch may delay a vote for acquital till next
week. Could be he can't get enough votes because a GOP senator or two
don't want to give Trump bragging points on tV and during the state of the
union.  Only time will tell.

The media  continues to worry about the  Democrats ability to win in November.
The media loves controversy, so I think they want to keep things stirred up.
So we can expect them to keep the election very close till the end.

276 days left. Well the GOP senators joined Trumps coverup by voting to
not have any witnesses or new evidence. It seems, like Trump, they were
afraid for the public to hear, and see solid evidence that Trump used the power
of his office for personal gain. Not only that by not supporting Ukraine, he put
our national security at risk, because if Ukraine falls to Russian control
Poland will have Russian tanks facing their boarder.

Some GOP senators even admitted Trump's guilt, but claimed it didn't
rise to  impeachment. Well if breaking laws and not following the
constitution isn't impeachable. What is? They apparently are scared
of the cult of Trump, because even those senators who don't plan to
tor run for re election seem to fear him.

Some might say, why worry about Europe and it's disputes with Russia.
Because if Europe falls under the thumb of Putin, We will lose our influence
of trade there. Being alone means the rest of the world can limit our access
to world trade. Also the loss of freedom around the world will cause
unrest, and dictators often dispute trade and boarders. Setting up
more chances for wars. Especially with global warming driving people
from lands that rising ocean levels will submerge.

Trump uses Nationalism  to gain votes, but he has little interest
in our country. He claims he is against abortion, but it's likely he
has paid for several due to  his promiscuous acts with women.
He claims to support minority rights, but he treats African Americans
and other minorities like second class citizens.  This includes women
and the LGBTQ community.

He claims to be a born again Christian, but doesn't follow religious
values. He claims to care about children, but locks immigrant children
in cages, with little or no care. He plays to  the worst of us at his
rally's. Even to be a puppet of the far right who wants a return to
the early 1950's socially.

Trump and the GOP brag about the economy, but the economy
under Trump is slowing down. His best year was 2.8% for the year.
Last year was 2.1%. This after all the promises that his big tax cut
would give us 4 or even 5 percent growth. He brags about the stock
market, which has done well, but only about half of Americans
gain from it. Trump brags when it goes up, and is silent when
it goes down.

Most of all he plays to peoples fear of change. A change where
White Americans will be in the minority. This scares those in
the far right. They consider Trump a bulwark against his
change. and they look to Moscow Mitch to turn the federal
courts so conservative they will slow this change by limiting
the rights of minorities, and people of color.

If we the voters allow the Trump and the far right to  control
government. This country will be set back  decades for the
rights of many Americans. And the poor, sick, elderly and
handicapped will be forced to  beg in the streets. Because
private charities  don't have the resources to deal with it.

275 and counting.

Tomorrow is primary day for Iowa.  A day where Democrats will start
to decide who they hope will defeat Trump in November. Will it be
Joe Biden? Obama's Vice president, a moderate that some in the
GOP probably could vote for. Or Senator Sanders, a progressive
who admits he is a socialist. Or Senator Warren, a woman who's
policies are much like Sanders.

I am sure Trump would claim Senator sanders is a communist, because
of his socialist ideas. What Trump and the GOP fail to mention, is the
subsidies they give big business is socialism for the rich. They claim
it's to create jobs, but the  big tax cuts they gave big business was
used more to buy back stock they sold, instead of growing to create
new jobs. Yes some got bonuses, but the country needs jobs that
pay enough to cover rising expenses caused by inflation.

The GOP and Trump don't want to increase the minimum  wage. In
fact they would get rid of it if they thought they could get by with it.
Just like health insurance for people with preexisting conditions. Oh
they claim they care, but once elected they want to forget about it.
Just as Trump did.

There are 2 billionaires in the group. Neither are like Trump. In
fact they are true billionaires, unlike Trump who is more of a
small time billionaire playboy  than anything else. Trump
claims to be a great businessman, yet he went bankrupt
4 times. Where these two are real, and I mean real. successful
billionaire  businessmen who didn't have  it given to them
like Trump did.

I am not a big fan of putting another billionaire in the
white house, but at least these people are smart
enough to do the job, and have a history of helping
people. Unlike Trump who only has a history of helping
himself. Something his supporters should judge him by,
instead of his lies.

Actually Trump shouldn't be eligible to run for president, as
it was admitted by his  defense team that he broke the law.
Something they claimed he couldn't be impeached for.

Perhaps someone should take this to court so Trump would
have to prove he is eligible, so he could actually run for
political office this November. If I had the money, I  sure
would. Of course his people would claim he hasn't been
convicted. Yet he would be under indictment if attorney
general Barr wasn't protecting him.

I figure Trump has a pardon for himself already made out
and signed by the VP. So if he loses  the election he can
resign a few days before the new president takes office. So
the VP could have the pardon power.  All he would have to do
is date the paper of pardon. That could save him from federal
offenses, but not those by the states. Something that would
likely take years to deliberate.

274 days till election 2020.

It's primary day in Iowa, and the crowd of people working to get the  Democratic
nomination to run for president, are working hard for all the support they can get.
By tomorrow one of them will have made their first step toward their goal of being
president of the United States of America. Then it's on to  New Hampshire hoping
for another win.

I imagine Trump will be bragging about a big win each time he wins primaries
across the nation. Even though he has no real opposition.  He hasn't had much
success in helping others in the GOP win elections, but we can be sure he will
continue to try.

If Trump really cared about the country, he would resign, but his ego wouldn't
allow him to do such a honorable thing. This self indulgence where he considers
himself to be a genius is one reason he shouldn't be president. Other leaders down
through history who have felt this way, not only harmed themselves, but their
country as well. Any student of history should know this to be true.

Will the GOP senators feel good after they vote to keep a corrupt president?
Could be they will, or perhaps they hope it will please Trump's Cult enough
to get re elected. Those retiring may feel it will keep them and their family
from being harassed by those in Trump's cult. Perhaps it will in states that
want a king instead of a  president. Personally I want a president that cares
about all the people, not just those who voted for him or her.

Trump doesn't seem to understand he is president of the United States,
not the republican party. It's not his job to work for the party. If he wanted
to work for the party he should have run for congress, or the senate. I
sometimes think a president should be limited to one 6 year term. That
way the party's policies wouldn't be so important. Be they Democrat or
GOP. But for the good of the country.

The senate was created to be a non partisan body. Not one to  follow the
wishes of any group, but to keep the law and the constitution. Over the
years though, corruption has entered the senate. Corruption to give groups
control of the body. In such a way to give them power for their own good
and not the country, or our democracy. I fear this corruption is a disease
will be very difficult to  cure or end. Only those senators who wish to make
our democracy stronger will vote to return the senate to the independent
body it was men to be. Others will vote to keep the power they desire,
and not for the good of the country, or our democracy.

It's this corrupt senate that allows this corrupt president to continue working
for himself, and not the country. Worst of  all he cares not for our democracy.
or the constitution except when it works for his own good. Now it's up to the
voters to rid this plague infecting our democracy. A cure he will work hard to
prevent between now and November.

The voters will have to be strong in their conviction, because many will
try to convince them into thinking Trump must be re elected for the public
good. Since the senate has given him permission to get help from
other countries. We can expect those corrupt leaders who like him
will do all they  can to help him win.

273 days to go, and we hope the DNC doesn't mess up as they did in Iowa again.

Though the news media is making a big deal out of it, I think most people know who
did fairly well last night. In case anyone is interested Trump won the GOP Caucus last
night. There were two opponents, which is good. Because Trump should have to work
for the nomination, otherwise the RNC would
just declare him the nominee.

I won't guess about the winners last night, but should know tomorrow. Of course
Trump is making a big deal out of this DNC mess up. Even though the GOP did
a poor job last time in 2016. It's likely both parties will want do end the Caucus
way of choosing nominees, and Iowa may pay the price by not being the first
state to choose next go around.

Tonight Trump will give his Sate of the Union address, in case anyone wants
to tune in. Be prepared to hear Trump claim his greatness, and why he needs
another 4 years to finish making the country great again. I am sure he will
mislead and  lie, so his supporters will cheer at his next rally. Rally's where
Trump makes sure only his supporters are allowed to attend. Because he only
wants to hear cheers, and no questions from his cult audience. It's been shown
any time Trump gets boo's he turns his back on the audience. I guess to hide
his pouty  face.

272 days left.

Not the state of the union, but the start of Trump's campaign for re election. Even to
be rude to the speaker of the house. The third person in the line of succession for
the office of president. She rightly tore up Trump's speech after he finished.  Because
it was more of a political rally than the state of the Union speech by a true president.

As I figured, Trump was a true con artist last night. Oh his words sounded so good,
but there is little or no substance behind them. He claims the economy is all because
of him.  Yet growth was better under president Obama. Yes  unemployment is down, but it
was dropping faster during Obama's last 3 years than during the first 3 years of
Trump.

He claimed he is for lower costs for health care and medicine, so why hasn't he worked
for it. He asked for a bipartisan bill to do this, and he would sign it. Well there is such
a bill waiting in the senate. So he only needs to tell Moscow Mitch to put it up for a vote.
He won't because the pharmaceutical, and insurance corporations  don't want it, and I
am  sure he doesn't want to lose the money their lobbyists have offered not to
pass it.

infrastructure repair was mentioned, so where was this during the last 3 years.
I can tell you. He spent too much money with this big tax cut and on the military.
Something he wants to blame others for not getting work on infrastructure done.

A sad thing is Trump has no compassion for others. Yes he talks compassion,
but he has none in his heart. People who have compassion show it when they
talk, they show it with their body language. Trump didn't change when he
talked about people who had suffered a  lot. Just a monotone speak. Only
changing when  he started talking ab out himself, and how great he is.

He runs down sanctuary cities. He doesn't care that people would be afraid
to report crimes if the police turned them over to ICE. So crimes would
increase if there was no protection from ICE in these cities. Crime that
would effect Americans as well as immigrants.

Trump claimed there was a blue collar wave in  job growth, when thousands
have lost there jobs during his time in office. He talked about farmers doing
better when many have gone bankrupt because of his trade war.
His fake claims of caring about service men, and there family's was only
political. Our service men in Iraq who were harmed with Iran's missile
strike has been ignored by him. Claiming their headaches, are  nothing
serious.

As I said Trump knows how to use words to make people feel good, but
it's just talk. He has no plans to do anything that he can't point to.  That
fence he calls a wall is something he can  point to. Otherwise he wouldn't
care about it.

He talked about helping people of color last night, because he knows
he will need their vote this fall. They shouldn't let his false  promises
gain their support. Because Trump cares little for them and will never
change.

If Trump is re elected, he will do nothing for the people. He will work to
please his voting base, but little else. What he will do is work to  make
all the money he can as president. And I am sure he will push for a third
term with the excuse that the democrats ruined his first term. When all
his problems over his first term were his own fault.

Another sad note is how he is misusing the Medal of Freedom.  Much as a
king would give knighthood to someone who is loyal to them. This medal
was meant for those who have done great things for our country. Not
as a medal of loyalty to a corrupt president.

It was curious how he had his wife give Rush Limbaugh the medal instead of
doing it himself. Perhaps Trump was afraid he might catch Rushes cancer if
he got close. Trump has admitted to being a germophobe. So it could be the
reason. Rush didn't deserve the medal anyway. Trump just did it so those
who like Rush would like him for it. .

This report on our pathetic president only gave some of his lies and
misleading statements during his speech. The American voter must
listen to the facts, and ignore Trump's lies. Otherwise Trump will do
a lot of harm to our democracy if he is in office another 4 years.  Not
counting putting the sick, poor, and elderly at risk with his far right
conservative policies.

Over the next 271 days all but one GOP senator will have to explain
to his or her voters why they voted to  keep the most corrupt president in
history, in the white house.

The vote to acquit had barely been made when Trump's attorney general
notified all federal  prosecutors across the nation to not investigate anyone
running for office till after the election this November. Unless he the
attorney general approves it. I have a hunch the only ones he will
approve will be those investigations of  democrats in close races, Not
those in the republican party.

This is obviously an attempt by Trump to help the GOP gain seats. I
wouldn't be surprised if several investigations of democrats appear, good
or not,  over the next 9 months, and it's likely Trump will tell the public if
and when they do.

The speaker of the house stated that Trump appeared to be under sedation
When he was making his address. I myself thought he was rather quiet
with his monotone speaking that night. It is possible that he was on
medication. It's anyone's guess why.

Trump ran Mitt Romneydown because he didn't vote they way he was
supposed to. According to Trump he had no right using religion to make
his decision. A vote that said Trump is guilty. A hard decision for a man
who knew it would cause him trouble. Trump shouldn't be running people
down for their religious beliefs, after all Trump was claiming this country was
built for and by Christians. Perhaps Trump doesn't like Mormons unless
they support him. This business of only liking those who support him is
a recurring theme of Trump.

Trump knows how to work an audience. It is his profession as a
salesman after all. This is how he builds his support, by making
people think he cares about them. When he likely considers them
fools, just as any con artist would.

Something people should remember every time they listen to one of his
speeches. Because he will tell you anything you want to hear. Lies mean
nothing to him. Just as long as it gets him what he wants.

270 days to go, and Trump is on the attack.

Trump calls anyone who doesn't agree with him  terrible
and evil. Governing is about  compromise, not by royal
declaration, from a tyrant like  Trump. He will lie and cheat
to hold the office of president. Not for the country, but
for himself.

In the past I have called him a coffee shop politician, and
he continues to prove it. I am sure we have heard idiots
in bars and coffee shops telling the crowd how easy it would
be to fix the worlds problems, problems they have little or
no understanding of. This is Trump in a nutshell, and  worse yet
he sells us out for  all the money he can get for himself and
family.

If Trump wasn't so selfish and self indulgent, he could have
been a fair president. Especially if he used his talents for the
good of the country and not himself. Trump constantly complains
about how bad he has been treated. What his ego won't let him
admit is he has caused nearly all of his problems with his hiring
of corrupt people and ignorant demands. It matters not how
long he may stay in office his problems will persist. Because
he will never change.

Trump calls the speakers tearing up her copy of his speech illegal.
He has no business calling anyone out for destroying documents.
He has done it many times himself. He claims he won the case
against him for breaking the Emoluments clause, but what was
decided by the court as the house can't bring the case against
him for breaking it. It must be done by those it effects. Like
a business owner. Such  cases are still moving through  the
courts. Something Trump didn't want to admit.

Trump just can't admit that he doesn't have the majority
support of the American people. He wants to point to his
big rally crowds as proof the country isn't really divided.
This delusion has persisted since his election. We should
be concerned that Trump may really be mentally
disturbed or has dementia. Either that or very
persistent with his lies.

The New Hampshire primary will soon decide
who they want for president. After the Iowa mess
it's a toss up. Joe Biden was the front runner, but
apparently came in 4th place. So it will be interesting
to see how he does in this primary. Unlike Iowa it's a
vote of the people and not a caucus. I personally feel
the secret ballot more accurate, than one where everyone
knows who you claim to be for. I sometimes wonder how
many of those who vocally claim to be for Trump, but
secretly plan to not support him. Worrying they could
lose friends or be harassed if they spoke their true
feelings about him.

I can remember when people wouldn't have stood for
a man like Trump. In the past he would have lost so
bad he likely wouldn't have even got one electoral
vote. It is so sad how the republican party has let Trump
drag them so far into the gutter. Before his nomination
the party leaders were being honest about him, but then
then they decided to turn away from country and the
constitution in favor of protecting their party, by
supporting Trump. I fear if they are not punished
for this, our democracy may be lost in favor of an
autocracy.

269 days till we can choose an honest person for president.

Yesterday Trump had those people fired that told the truth about
him in house hearings. How dare they be disloyal to him. Because
according to his followers is a great president that deserves total
loyalty, because Trump their King can do no wrong. According to
his corrupt attorney general he can't be investigated or charged
with anything, or by anyone, legal reasons or not.

Trump has spent the last 3+ years convincing those who like
him. That they should only listen to him, and no one else. This
blind devotion to a corrupt president is dangerous for the
country and our democracy.

We are still waiting for Trump's Tax returns, but the
corrupt senate is already looking at Biden's returns trying
to help Trump their King, and not the people. We need to
remove the corrupt GOP members of both houses. Because
they won't follow their oath or the rule of law, for fear their
puppet master will put their virtual heads on a pike.

Trump seems he should be able to run the country like a
corporation. There he could demand total loyalty, and fire
anyone, but not as president of a country. In a business
the owner is King, but not in a democracy. Because he
does not own the country, or the people.

Trump only knows  how to manipulate his followers, by misleading
them with his lies. Taking advantage of their ignorance, and desire to
follow a man who they feel is working for them. They don't seem
to care how much Trump cheats tax payers. By only going to stay
at his properties, and charging the government double for it's
use. Charging the secret service who protects him, his property,
and children huge prices while claiming he isn't charging them
at all. This act of greed is something he calls smart. Yes he
calls it smart when in fact it's a form of theft. Something that
would get anyone else in serious trouble.

He may get by with these lies now, but when the truth comes out he
will find history painting him as the most corrupt man who ever
held the office of president, and guilty of damaging our standing
around the world. The name Trump will likely be used with disdain
for decades to come.

267 days till the Trump is trumped. At least he should be.

Some of the GOP members said they had hoped Trump would
have been changed for the good after being impeached.

Well so did a lot of voters when he was running for the office.
I can remember hearing them say, Trump  is just in campaign
mode. he will settle down as president. Well  I think those who
said that should admit they were wrong. Because Trump will
never change. Once a con artist always one.

Trump likes to brag about his supporters being out in all kinds
of weather waiting for his rally to start. Even a day early. Well
I wouldn't even go to a rally, much less one who only wanted
supporters and no one else. I wouldn't be surprised if the Trump
campaign paid them to stand there. Just for Trump to Bragg about.
The day he started running for president he paid 90 people to cheer
for him, and paid people to cheer him during the debates he was
at. So why not outside rally's as well.

It's likely he has people paid to start cheers and chants in his
rally's too. This is how he manipulates people. Making them think
his way and no one else's.

Trump knows he will need people of color to help him win another
term. So he is bringing people of color to his rally's hoping this
will gain their support. They should understand, Trump only
uses people, and will lie trying to prove he cares about
them. Later he will deny any promises he might make.
During his state of the union address he made the claim
he would see to it that children of color would get scholarships
to attend schools that would give them a great education.
Well as it turns out this was another  of Trump's lies. The
school he was talking about doesn't require any scholarships,
it's a public school available to good students of any color.

I hear his supporters talk about all the good he has done for
the country. Well working to please 30% of the  people isn't
doing much for the country. He claims he is for clean air and
water, but removes regulations that protect the environment.
He like the GOP claims he is for jobs. But thousands have lost
their job since he was elected. There were more jobs created
during the last 3 years of Obama's presidency than during
Trump's first 3 years in office.

Also Trump is handing our coastlines to big oil. Isn't it odd he didn't
include Florida's coast as well. I think he was worried it might cost
him Florida's vote this November. A vote that would likely end is time
in office.

Some might feel all this is just politics, but Trump is working to please
big corporations for their money and support. Not for Mr. and Misses
America as he claims with his lies.

Sure many people like him because of his stated position about abortion,
Gay's, and immigrants. If people are for him because they consider him a
gift from GOD, they should fire their preachers, because most religions
expect their followers to help strangers, Children, and the poor. None
of which Trump wants to help. In his mind they are losers undeserving
of anything.

265 days till we can watch TV, listen to the radio, or open our
mailbox without being reminded who should be elected. I think
it's time we put a limit on how long political campaigns can
run. Two years is too much for the run for president. Even
a year is too long. If we elected a president by popular vote as
every other  election in the country is done. They could limit it
to 6 months. It would be hard to do, because those who make
millions carrying political advertising would fight hard to keep
it the way it is.

Well it appears Trump is at it again. Attorney General Barr has
taken over prosecution of Trumps friends. To keep them from
serving time in prison. Even though jurists found them guilty.
As usual Trump claims he had nothing to do with it. Since
when did Trump tell the truth? He apparently doesn't want
to have to pardon them, as it might cost him a few votes.
So he lets Barr do it for him. This may backfire, because
judges don't like politics to be involved with legal issues.
At least honest judges don't. So Barr just might try to
change judges for one that owes Trump a favor. I could
be wrong, but it should be closely watched.

Trump continues his vengeance against those
who testified for his impeachment. He is implying
that those military men who testified in the hearings
should be punished by the military. Even more than
their being fired from the white house. One wasn't
even involved. Just a brother of the man who testified.
Likely figuring it would add to the hurt. All his firings
and vindictive acts are likelydone to intimidate others so
they will keep quiet about him. Just more of Trump's
mob boss mentality.

The primaries continue. Senator Sanders won in
New Hampshire last night. Biden came in fifth
Senator Warren forth. Both of who were considered
to be front runners. The news media and pun dents
are all over the place about who is going to win the
Democratic nomination. These first two states really
don't represent the Democratic party that well as
the population is 90% white.

The next elections is the Caucus in Nevada, and primary
in South Carolina. Both states are much more diverse
in their population. So it will better test the popularity
of each candidate has with minority voters.

During each election process the News media  seems
to hunt for things people might not like about a candidate.
This isn't really that bad, but it would be better to center
more on their strengths instead. If a candidate is a crook,
we need to know, but people make mistakes in life, and
looking back decades for them doesn't tell us who people
are today. Sometimes people don't change, but that is
generally easy to see.

People  voted for Trump, even though he showed how bad
a person he was nearly every time he opened his mouth.
The trouble with Trump is  he knows how to manipulate
people. Using his knowledge  of how most people process
information. he can con  people into believing he can do no
wrong. Something he has learned over his lifetime. Anyone
who has had training in sales and speaking would spot
this almost immediately. With Trump everything is about
money. Since most foreign leaders care more ab out power
than money, it puts Trump at a disadvantage. So they manipulate
him.

264 days, and Trump is showing his true self. One supporter of his
said I would vote for him again, but if he offered me a job. I would
want to get paid up front. Seems people want to believe Trump is doing
a good job, but wouldn't work for him. People should realize that
a man who cheats people has no business being president.

Several lawyers who were working for the justice department resigned
when attorney general Barr started pulling strings for Trump, and working
to help Trump keep his crooked cronies out of jail. Barr should be removed
from his job of attorney general. He seriously harms the rule of law, by
working to keep Trump's convicted friends out of jail.

When asked the GOP members had little to say. As usual they would
rather  hide their heads in the sand than speak out against Trump.
Just more reasons  to get rid of those in the GOP who are caught up
in the Cult of Trump.

Bloomberg is spending 100's of millions on ads in his run for president.
I am not a fan of billionaires being president. But at least his ads are
reminding people about Trump and his disgusting term in office. If
if Bloomberg does get the nomination, I will vote for him. Though
he has his faults. At least he has experience, with a history of working
for the people, unlike Trump who is learning, but only how to do a
better job of harming our democracy, and rule of law. All the while
taking all the money he can from tax payers for himself.

With all of the candidates running for the nomination, we may not have a
nominee for president till one is chosen at the Democratic convention in
July. So we can expect a long fight along the way.

Joe Biden and senator Warren are hoping for a come back, but time will tell.
Both feel they will do much better during the next two state primaries.

263 day's left. Attorney general Barr publicly told Trump to stop interfering
in his business. Trump replied, "It's legal for me to do it." I think this was
meant to be a news event more than a real conflict. Trump likes to capture
the nightly news every chance he gets, and it doesn't matter wither
it's true or not.

This could also be a way to quell concern by Trumps followers that
the attorney general is letting Trump tell him what to do. Because
there has been a lot of concern that this may be the case. We must
work to prevent any and all political control of the justice department.
As is Trump can have anyone investigated and charged of a crime, if
he wishes to do so. Even for political reasons.

Another reason Trump needs to go is he is infecting school kids with his hate.
Some might say, it's just kids, but kids grow up and growing up to hate
Hispanics and other minorities is damaging to our democracy. Just as much
as addiction to dangerous drugs is. If we have Trumps hate, and division for
another 4 years, it could take decades to undo the damage. Kids learn by
example, and when they hear their parents agreeing with Trump's divisionist
trash, they take it to school with them.

It's obvious that Trump doesn't care how his division affects young people,
because it's all about him, and his staying in the white house. He doesn't
have to live with the mess he creates, because he can just return to his
ivory tower and ignore it.

It seems the news media is worried about who is going to win the nomination
for president by the Democrats. Just like they did in 2016. They find fault with
everyone. The trouble is they only talk once about Trump, and then they pile on
the rest. I think they are afraid people will think they are "No Trumper's". Well
perhaps they should be. They need to remind the public about Trumps mistakes
along with those the others have made.

Trump hasn't given minorities any respect. From the time he first worked for his
father in the real   estate buisness. He has faught court suits time and time again
for not following the rules. He treats women like second class citizens. Any person
without his money would have been in jail for things people have accused him of.
So for every thing the news finds fault with others, they could find many things
about Trump to remind the public of.

Perhaps his followers want him to turn government upside down and shake
it. There are manythings Trump could do to make government better, but
he doesn't have the time, because he only wants to work about 6 hours a
day and four days a week, and much of the time is spent complaining and
watching TV. He doesn't care that being president is a 24/7
job. When he ran for the job, he said he wouldn't leave
the white house, just another lie as he has spent a third
of his time playing golf and attending parties since in office.

261 days to go. Will Trump accept defeat, or will he claim the
election had to be rigged for him to lose? Then try to have it
declared invalid by the supreme court? If this was to happen,
would the public stand for it? Hopefully this doesn't happen,
because it could lead to riots, and loss of life.

Trump needs to lose so bad even the corrupted members
of the GOP won't try to reverse it. People might think this
could not happen, but in authoritarian countries like Russia
it does. Trump attacked the popular vote in 2016 because it
showed he lost by almost 3 million votes. So he tried to prove
it was due to fraudulent voting by illegal immigrants. Something
Trump was never able to prove.

Attorney general Barr feels a president should have all but
complete power over the government. He feels the only thing
president should have to answer to is the voter, or  impeachment.
This way of thinking should get Barr impeached himself.
Because it doesn't follow the constitution or the rule of
law. Now if the country was in a major war, or having a real
national emergency. Then a president would need authoritarian
power temporarily , because congress is too slow to  respond to
such emergencies. We are not fighting a major war, or facing an
emergency. So a good president would not do as Trump has.

Trump is the first president in modern history who has attempted
authoritarian rule. He would not  have any chance to do this,
except for the GOP, which he has corrupted since being in office.

Trump has convinced his followers we must greatly limit immigration.
We must ask then, who will harvest food crops? Every year many many
people cross our boarder with Mexico to work in fields. This is stoop
labor for the most part, and most American citizens won't do this kind
of work. Those coming from Mexico don't stay. They are here for the
harvest to make money, to take home to their families. They have no
interest in moving to the United States.

I wonder how many of Trump's followers would be willing to do this
kind of work. To spend hours in fields sweating under a hot sun.
Most of us never think about how food ends up in the supermarket.
Vegetables, fruit, and rows of canned goods we depend on to eat.
Without people to harvest it, those shelves of food will become
empty. Where will people find their food to eat in our cities.
The worst part is, once this breaks down it will take a lot of
time to restore. While desperate people go hungry. I can
pretty  much guarantee Trump and his rich cronies won't
starve, and won't care if others do. Just as they don't care
about the sick or the poor.

260 more days till the people of the United States decide if they want Trump
to continue as president. A man who is a gift from GOD for some, and a
autocrat by his actions. While it is true many people live fairly well under
autocracies. Unless you have the money to bribe officials in such a system
you most certainly will not. Also if you don't agree with the leaders of a
country under such control,  you have no chance, short of a revolution to
change it. Something I think we all should remember.

Yes the United States is governed as a republic not a democracy. But
the body that makes the rules and laws is elected democratically. If we
allow a president to rule alone. We no longer have a republic as setup
by the constitution. It becomes a Monarchy where we no longer have
a president, but a King who can do anything to anyone without control.

I don't think Trump started out wanting total control, but those in the
far right have convince Trump he must listen to them to stay in office.
The Far Right have been working for decades to gain power over the
Democrats. Because they hate homosexuality, people of color, especially
non white immigrants who have different religious beliefs. such as Jews
and Moslem's. They have taken over the conservative wing of the GOP
as well. This movement attempted to  do this a hundred years ago, but
failed. Now they  apparently feel it's their last chance to save White
America from those who wish to change it, even if they have to change
the government to do it.

The support of Trump has unfortunately become a cult. As with
most cults, it's very hard to convince the cult leaders followers
that the leader is taking advantage of them. So we can expect
Trumps base of support will try their best to keep him in November.
Trump will use all the power he has to stay in office, even to lie
and cheat.  Only the hard work by Democrats can defeat Trump,
and his  supporters.

As Americans we must listen to the facts, no matter who they may
show to be bad or corrupt. If we don't we will lose the rights under
our constitution. Because the corrupt will always lie and cheat to
get what they want. No matter who it hurts.
