President Trump claims he has a thick skin when asked by reporters. Well
in my opinion someone with a thick skin wouldn't worry about what people
thought. They would just carry on with their job, and if pressed might say
they were sorry people felt that way, but I am doing the best I can.  Instead
Trump just tries to blame the person who bad mouths him, and if pressed
will blame others for his problems. Because Trump wants people to think he
is a genius who never makes a mistake. He even  blamed the weather when
asked about his speech which included airports were attack during the
revolutionary war. If you listen to that part of his speech, there was no
hesitation, he  said it like he believed it to be true.

Did Trump take part  in the underage sex acts with the accused billionaire
in the 1990's? Seems Trump is wanting to hide his close relationship with
the accused. Reports are Trump spent a lot of time with him during
those years.  Apparently president Clinton  knew him as well, but
said the relations hip was mostly trying to get money for the Clinton
foundation. It would be good to know who all were involved in the crime.
It would likely drag a bunch of the rich delete into court, and make a lot of
lawyers very rich.

Government reports seem to show some of the young Latino  children who
are held along the boarder with Mexico have been sexually assaulted by border
agents of the U S. We know this happens in Mexico, but it should never
happen here. There is no excuse for this, no matter the stress. Also some
reports of border agents punishing children for complaining about how they
are being treated. There is no excuse for this either. If guards feel they can
punish kids, or even adults, they should be removed or fired.

To hear Trump they are being treated like kids at summer camp, and it's the
fault of the democrats for any overcrowding or shortages. He said this after those
in his administration said they had plenty of resources. Seems Trump can't keep
anything straight or honest. He tells so many lies it's no wonder he gets mixed
up at times.

The GOP senators are complaining that Trump isn't getting rid of regulations
fast enough. Apparently pressured by their big business donors who gave
them millions for reelection. Expecting relief from profit harming regulations.
This one of the main reason the GOP is putting conservative judges in courts.
To reduce controls on corrupt money grubbing people.

Trump claimed he would hire the best people. Unfortunately Trump
only see's dollar signs, loyalty, and personal looks when he picks
people.  Not their ability, or desire to do anything but get richer
than they already are. No matter what it costs the tax payer.

Where is the GOP who stood for law and order? They stand quietly
by while Trump breaks law after law, and treats the  constitution
like a dirty rag. When will people start punishing them for their
dirty deeds? If they don't we could loose our democracy. I know
it's not perfect, but it's better than what most other countries
have. People can become rich beyond their wildest dreams, but
at the cost of others. This is why we need regulations to limit
the  destructive power of Greed, and it's lasting effect on our
environment.

It appears Trump wants ICE to go after 2000 immigrants who have
no legal status here. At that rate it would take 16 years to remove
11 million if they removed 2000 a day. So it easy to see this action
by Trump is nothing more than politics. It would be impossible to
remove them even that quick. Even if they stood in line to go.
This business of Trump removing illegal immigrants from this
country is nothing but a fantasy he is feeding his supporters.

We should be working to help make the countries these people
come from more desirable. If the Latin American countries had
good jobs, and law enforcement, these people would never leave
in the first place. Also many of the illegal aliens would go back
if they felt there would be a good life for their children. People in
general don't want to leave home in the first place. But if there isn't
any future or threat of starvation and death, they will  risk everything
trying to  find a better life for their children.

Trump has no idea what it's like to live as these people have to. He
has no understanding of doing without food or health care. Every
day of his life he only had to holler, and hired servants would be
there to follow his every wish. So he see's others the same way.
He thinks everyone can be de-swayed by the almighty dollar. You
can see this in how he talks to the North Korean leader, or even
Iran. It's because he doesn't understand anything else.

Trump has spent enough money trying to  stop immigration to
make a real difference in Latin American countries, but no, Trump
wants a symbol like a wall that he can point to, feeling it would get
him reelected in 2020. Already other countries like China, and Russia
are working to gain influence in these poor countries. This is the way
communism is sold around the world. Promising of equality for all,
but instead it's just a curtain of lies. China, and Russia are only
interested in the natural resources they can steal  while offering
to help.

The GOP is doing all they can to convince people that immigration
is a bad thing. They fear diversity, because it will weaken their ability
to hold on to power. Latino's and other people of color want equality
more than the money that the GOP offers to gain support. If the
GOP fails to change, they will be lost to history by 2040. Most of
the old white men and women will be gone by then. Along with
their votes.

The younger generation is smarter, and likely can see the cliff the
GOP is rushing toward. I am sure the GOP leadership will do all
they can to build support  from young white people, but it's a loosing
battle. Women unlike their parents won't stand for the good ole boy
way of doing things any more.

I have always thought this.  If we make other countries strong enough to support themselves, and friendly to us because they WANT to be friends with us, then we all benefit. Someday I fear America will be judged by other nations in a war or other such event, and we may be judged by our actions towards other nations in the present time.

It's obvious Trump is running scared from his old friend in Florida. He doesn't
want anyone to think he was involved in any way with attacks on underage
girls. As usual he claimed his Secretary of Labor asked to resign, but I am
sure Trump had him removed, because of Trumps fear that the longer the
story about his Secretary of Labor went on, it could make him look bad, or
perhaps bring things to light Trump wants to hide.

This whole thing is more proof of Trumps poor management. No competent
leader would put a man in a job with a background this Secretary had. It
also shows the same for the leader of the senate, because his record was
known when he was accepted for the job.

Trump cries; "The democrats always want to point out his mistakes." Well if
he would do a proper job, instead of putting his money grubbing friends in
jobs where they have no business being, the criticism would be much less.

Now he has almost a  dozen of his friends working as acting heads of
government agencies. People who should be vetted by the senate first,
not just put there, because Trump thinks they are good people. So far
Trump has a poor record of picking good people. In fact most are bad
people with a lot of money, or because they bragged on him.

This morning during Trumps press conference he is claiming the
the reduction of immigrants is due to him, and Mexico, but it's
likely because this is the hottest time of year for the path
many immigrants have to  take, and are probably waiting
for cooler weather.

As always, when Trump stands in front of a camera he starts bragging
on how good a job he is doing with lie after lie. As I have said before
when he repeats himself, again and again you can depend on
it being a lie.

When will Trump work to lower drug prices? When will he start on infrastructure,
or protecting social security, medicare,  medicaid, and health care? He
promised to do these things, but hasn't. He wants to blame the democrats
instead of admitting his tax cut for the rich and spending for the military
is making it impossible to work on needed projects like infrastructure.

The Vice President  stood and lied about how the people held in detention
centers. Claiming they are being treated well, when he knows they are not.
No Christian, as the VP claims to be could see what Trump is doing to these
immigrants and lie about it. Instead he should resign, rather than being a
party to it. But no, he like all of those who are  tied to  Trump, just lie and
lie, to please Trump, and his supporters. I imagine the VP is doing
this so Trump will keep him as VP in the 2020 election.

Trump continues to lie, hide, and cover, this is why he is working to
keep people from talking to  congress. He knows his supporters don't
pay much attention to the news, but seeing people in congressional
hearings is more believable than any  news program, and Trump
knows it.

The has been a lot of talk on the liberal news about the rich getting
sweet deals from prosecutors, and lawyers. It seems there is a good
ole boy club of  rich lawyers who offer their services to people who
can pay huge sums to get away with crimes. Who can say how big
this club is, but it like  all things with the rich, It's money, and
more of it.

This is another reason we need to get money out of the legal
system in general. Because it gives people of means an unfair
advantage over the rest of us. As long as lawyers can charge
any amount they want, there is no justice for anyone, but the
rich. The best cure is to set the fees lawyers can charge. Set
the hourly pay for services. Some get thousands for little or
no work at all.  I think the first thing we should do is vote
lawyers out of our law making bodies.

Yes this sounds like I hate lawyers, but it's not that, because
there are many good honest people in law. People who want
to protect the weak and innocent from the rich predators
among us. The bad people depend on citizens not voting and
not taking the time to understand or find out what is actually
going on. So people who have a conflict of interest
should be kept from making laws for the good of us all.

Unfortunately most of these bad, and greedy lawyers are
members of the republican party. This is why you see so
much work being done to limit voting. They know if the
average American gains control they will be the losers.

This is why new nations start out with good intentions,
then as time passes people of greed take power to protect
themselves. Unfortunately things have to  get really bad
before the crooks are thrown out. Seems it's the nature of
most people to  be reactive instead of proactive. So they don't
want to believe something is wrong till it hurts them personally.
By then it's really hard to fix, because laws will have been made
to protect the crooks, and their supporters.

If things get bad enough, the only fix is a constitutional convention.
A reset of sorts to correct problems created by people of greed.
Otherwise the people may rise up, and use violence if corrections
fail to be made. Something that rarely ends up solving anything,
because of the chaos it causes.

The best thing everyone can do is work to  put good honest
people in congress,. Both state and federal. Then get out and
vote. Otherwise nothing will change, and  may get worse.

he GOP wouldn't have to try limiting voting if they would
support minorities instead of only doing what white good old
boys want them to do.

Now Trump and his GOP cronies are telling descendants of
immigrants who were born in this country to go home. Well
in that case Trump should go back to where his ancestors
immigrated from. Along with anyone else who feels this way.

How long will the GOP stand by and let President Trump break
the law? Perhaps as Senator Sanders says, it will take a
revolution of voters to send the grand old party a notice that
they must change or end up in the dust bin of history.

The problem is many Americans want to sit back and let the
world go by. To wait till their ox is gored to come out of the
shadows and vote. We can hope that that Trump, the worst
president in history will bring them out to get rid of him, and
if there is any justice left, send him to prison for the rest of
his life.

If Trump holds on to  power for another term of office our
democracy will shift toward an autocratic form of government.
One where law will be the will of he leader, or president, and
not the people. The far right crowd may think Trump is a great
president, because he does things they like, but they will not
like where this will end, because only the elite will have the
power. Much the same as China, and Russia. So if the government
wants their guns, they will take them, if people refuse they will go
to prison with no rights at all, and prisons will be much the same
as immigrant detention centers are today.

Like Russia it's the super rich who want power, they use human
nature to gain control over law enforcement and the military
with promises of the good life to those who do their bidding.
Then they  play people against each other to keep control, even
to have them killed if necessary.

I know most people can't believe this could happen here, but it's
already starting. Russia is in the process of turning Europe in to
states under Russian control. Putin wants to  make them dependent
so if they try to  walk away he will turn off their power and gas.
Also he is manipulating their elections to get hard liners who support
Russia in power. Something he wants to do here, and will succeed
if we don't get out and vote to stop Trump in 2020. Putin just wants
the united states to stop trying to liberate the world. So he along
with other  strong man leaders can run the world and it's economy
to suit themselves.

If you think we can stand alone, and ignore the rest of the world, think
again. People of power will never stop till they control the world or
destroy it. I know we can't police the world, but we can make it very
difficult for bad leaders to prosper by leading other countries toward
a democratic form of government. This is what Russia, China, and other
countries like them want to stop. The world is heading into a dark time
for us all, if we do nothing, but watch.

I hope people wake up and see the parallels between the current presidential orders and those carried out by the Third Reich...Trump definitely needs to be impeached or voted out. I really hope people get rid of him, one way or another, because this country is supposed to be "of the people, for the people and by the people," according to our Constitution. What was the point of the Declaration of Independence and establishing a democracy if people are to be this apathetic? Our founding fathers are likely rolling in their graves and I hope we can make a change for the better soon.

Trump is playing a new gambit where he hopes to deny immigrants
asylum. He is saying they must get asylum from another country first.
Namely Mexico. This desperate move by Trump isn't  likely to go anywhere
without congressional approval. Trump seems to think all he has to do is
make an executive order to get his way on about anything. Trump will
try anything to make his base voters happy. Except the promises to fix
infrastructure , lower drug prices, or about anything else he promised.

He brags on the stock market, but most people don't gamble their hard
earned money by putting it into stocks that can become worthless overnight.
I am sure most notice he never talks about the stock market unless it's
going up.

Before he was elected he was running the growing economy down, but
afterwords he claims the growth is all due to him. Also he said he would
work to  reduce the national debt, but it has grown over a trillion dollars
since he was elected. and he has done nothing to slow it, much less
reduce it.

Past presidents have always worked to tamp down racism, but Trump
encourages it. He seems to think by creating more division it will help
him with his reelection. So the GOP jumps on board instead of trying
to heal the division that is growing with Trumps every racist tweet.

With over a year to  the next election, how far will Trump go if his
polling numbers fail to show him gaining on the democrats? He
is likely to continue trying to stop immigration by Latins, and
other people of color.

His current attacks on minority congress  women  will only
hurt any support from people of color he might have.

Trump appears to think if he can get a huge turn out from
his base he can win. Well it is true only about 60-70%
of the population vote during presidential elections, he
probably figures a 90% turnout by his base can overtake
the democrats, and others who might vote with them. It
is true republicans turned out in greater numbers during
the primaries in 2016. I am hoping the desire to rid the
country of Trump is great enough to bring out a huge
number of voters. If not I  fear Trump might win the
electoral vote, while losing the popular vote as before.

In spite of what the news media wants to say, I think
a lot of people felt H. Clinton was going to win, and
didn't take time to vote. They  never thought  Trump
could win. Also many bought the lies made by the GOP,
Conservative media, and Russia that H. Clinton was
a bad person, so they felt why not try Trump, because
he couldn't be any worse.

It's time our country put term limits on congress members. Career
politicians are too susceptible to play for pay. They start thinking
no one else can do their job. Yes we would loose a few good people,
but a constant flow of new ideas should help much more than it
would hurt. I think a limit of 12 years of service would give any in
congress time to work ideas through to law. That would be 6 terms
for house members and 2 for the senate. Also end any and all
retirement pay for them. Also the government should pay campaign
expenses for people who have reasonable support. As is they have
to spend too much of their time raising money.

To hear the GOP and Trump, the democrats are too far to the left.
Their ideas will wreck the economy and the country. Isn't it odd
every time the GOP takes control of the white house the national
debt climbs faster, along with large deficit spending. Mostly due to
their crazy tax cut trickle down economic ideas that only make
the rich richer, and the middle class poorer.

Ever since the days of president Reagan the GOP has used this trickle
down economics idea. Claiming if you cut taxes for the rich and big
business, they will pass along the saving to the working class. Even
though they still make the same old claim, it never works, because
greed rules, and they use the saving to enrich themselves.

This is why the middle class stopped growing in the early eighties,
and the rich started getting richer. If we could  return tax rates to
what they were then, government could be operating at a surplus
instead of a deficit. Yes it would have to be adjusted to allow
for inflation, otherwise it could slow the economy and reduce
income for the government.

If we do nothing by allowing the GOP to continue their plans
to keep the rich happy. The national debt will reach a point
where the interest costs alone will out run the ability of
government to pay it. When that happens the value of the
dollar will crash, and inflation will skyrocket, and even a
wheelbarrow full of money won't buy anything. This may
cause a world wide depression which could start a war,
which could end civilization as we know it.

Yes this is a dire prediction, but the GOP and Trump are
driving us toward a cliff. The first to  suffer will be the
poor, then the middle class, followed by the rich who have
other resources to draw on.

Trump and the GOP claim the democrats will destroy the
country with their socialist ideas. They should talk, the
entire government operates using socialism. Every agency,
be it FBI, Senate, courts, the white house. They all use tax
dollars to operate. None of it is run with private funding.

An end to socialism would stop all retirement pay, not just
social security, but all of it. National parks could be sold
or left to decay and rot. Highways, and bridges would fall into
disrepair. Public schools would close, no police, or fire protection.

This is just a taste of how our country is run using tax money.
Yes we most keep our spending in mind, but only the GOP uses
poor economic ideas to stay in power.

Countries like Sweden have many social programs to help their
people, and yes they have high taxes, but people don't need as
much money with programs available that pay much of their
needs, and they still have a strong economy.

We could do as well if greedy people would get out of the way
and let our people grow, all of them, and not just the rich.

Trump sent 500 troops to Saudi Arabia, seemingly to help with
their war with a neighboring country. The last time troops were
there, it caused demonstrations against the United States. Hopefully
this isn't a  prelude to a war with Iran.

Trump showed his true colors at his rally last night. Full of his
lies, and a 15 minute rant about 4 congress women he wants
his supporters to hate. It's likely a dozen or two of his paid
supporters started a chant of "Send her back" in reference to
one of the congress women who immigrated here when she was
12 years old. Trump even suggested the woman married her
brother.

Trump love to  have an opponent. Since there isn't a democrat
nominee yet to oppose he apparently picked these women to fill
his need. Trump will continue to use hate and racism, because
he believes it will get him reelected. Hopefully it  doesn't lead
to racial violence. If it does, Trump would likely try to blame
the democrats. Or worse people of color.

Trump first started his campaign with  racial statements about
immigrants crossing our southern boarder. Trump has a history
of not liking people of color. Only one of many types of people
he sees as inferior.  A short list includes, Women, Blacks, or
anyone of color, yes even  Jews, gays, the poor, or anyone who  isn't
rich. He would turn his back on most of his  supporters if he
didn't know who they were. How many times has he shook
hands with people he didn't know personally? When he arrives
at a rally, he appears on stage, then leaves the same way. If
he personally greets any supporters its few if any at all.

Trump is a cowered who fears strangers, and has spent most
of his life with body guards. It's too bad his supporters don't
really know what he thinks of them. All they have to do is listen
to how he talks about the democrat's, and that is what he thinks
of most Americans, including his supporters privately.

I am sure his supporters would never believe it, but I am afraid
one day they will have reason to hate the name Trump.

The far right fears diversity in our country. People who won't follow
their racists way of thinking. So they are doing everything they can to
slow immigration. People who think this way aren't new, they have
been around since the founding of the country. They are hiding in
waiting for a chance to come out and oppose any new group of
immigrants. They use skin color, religion or most anything else as an
excuse to  deny them into our country. It has happened several times
in the past. These people fear change, even if it's good for them.

Change will come, even with the far right opposing it. Hopefully without
major violence. Only time will tell.

Trump is trying to say the people at the rally decided to chant, but
he encouraged it with his tweets over the past several days. His
supporters didn't dream it up on their own, and he knows it.

Trump said he tried to  stop the chant, but continued to  bad mouth
Omar after waiting for the chant to die down. Trump is likely planning
to say "Love it or leave it." as a major part of his campaign. A
patriotic chant from the days of the VietNam war.

Trump claims he doesn't want war with Iran, so why did he hired
the same people who talked president Bush into starting a war
with Iraq. A war Trump used to bad mouth the younger Bush
during his campaign.

I think Trump feels he can use patriotism to get a large
percentage of his base out to vote. Depending on how he
uses it, it could back fire on him. I don't think most people
associate racism with patriotism. So the more he bad mouths
groups of people it could move people away from him.
Perhaps not to vote for democrats, but to stay home.

I really don't think Trump wants a hot war with Iran, but if
he continues letting the war hawks he hired mislead him
we could be in one soon. Trump needs to understand Iran is
not the same as North Korea. They could care less about
being seen shaking his hand. Obama gave Iran a path to
help the  middle east be a better place. Yes they are doing
things that are bad now, but  the people are pushing for
moderation over the extremism of their religious leader.
Trumps sanctions are only giving the extremists more power.

The democrats have another debate scheduled on CNN next
week. It will be interesting to see how the candidates do during
this  second debate. Biden is still holding a strong lead, but
most of his support is center with the black  vote. He must
gain a broader support if he is going to  win against Trump.
Otherwise a better candidate is needed. It's still early, the first
primary is still almost 6 months away.

Next week Mueller will testify in a house hearing about his
report on Trump and his actions shown in his  report. I am
sure the GOP members will try to make a joke of it. So the
democrats must work together to help Mueller tell the renal
story of Trumps ill eagle activity, and not the misleading
report of Trumps attorney general claiming Trumps
innocence.

It seems Trumps circle of friends include some pedophiles.
Now this isn't proof that Trump is guilty of such activities,
but it's very likely he was aware of their sexual preferences.
I have been around long enough to know that generally
friends talk about sexual preferences. Not always of course.
It really doesn't surprise me that the super rich feel they
can get by with most anything they want, and the video
where Trump talked about how he treated women shows
he is much the same way.

I really don't care what Trump does in private as long as
it's with consent of his friends, and legal. But these
evangelical preachers ought to be ashamed of supporting
a man like Trump. If they are worried about the unborn
and Gays, the Vice president would fill that bill just as
easy as Trump, and would make a better president.

I am sure most of us know the GOP works to protect
businesses, and the people who own and or run them.
Their excuse for this is they wish to protect jobs and
the economy. Also to stand up for capitalism
and the free market which is the cornerstone of
business in our country.

Now as an retired businessman, I fully understand
that jobs and the economy does depend on business,
but the general public has to be protected from
people who use business to steal, and take advantage
of people with sales and those who work for
them. Also to prevent damage to our environment
by those in the pursuit of profit.

The problem is the GOP not having the support
of the majority of voters, have a habit of
misleading the public to gain votes. prior
to television the cost of running for political
office wasn't a great expense, but as
time has passed the cost has grown to the
point that a politician has to spend a great
deal of time raising money to make a
successful run for office.

This has led to reaching out to the rich
who can give a great deal of money. The
problem is when rich people give a lot
of money, they expect those who they
support to give something back. Usually
fewer regulations that affect businesses
and their bottom line.

Over time this hurts the public, and
our environment. Supporters also
want lower taxes which lead to
deficit spending for the government.
So the GOP claims they must
cut social programs to cover the
tax cuts for the rich. If you ask a
GOP member of congress he/she
will try to blame the other party
instead of telling
the real truth.

It's sad,  but a lot of people fall for
the misleading stories that the GOP
feed their voters. Partly due to
people believing people who have
money must be smart, but in many
cases, unfortunately they are just
dishonest.

This is how Trump is, people look at a
man with a ton of money and think he
must be a great business man. Also because
they saw him play one on TV. Trumps
success isn't due to being smart, but due
to  having a very rich father. Otherwise
he would be lucky to even have one business,
and deep in debt.

The GOP works for the drug industry, getting
millions in support for reelection. Because the
drug industry doesn't want any price
regulations. They had congress create  laws
limiting competition to benefit them. So they
can set prices as high as they wish. During
the 1970's Generic drugs hit the market.
This helped keep  prices down, but eventually
they realized they could raise prices on generics
too. Even in some cases they became higher
than name brand drugs. So the drug
industry just raised the price of name
brand drugs higher to hide it.

The founders of many of the drug companies
wanted to help people have a healthy life and
didn't worry about getting rich, but over the
years people who could care less about peoples
health have taken the companies over, and now
it's just profit and nothing else.

Trump is working to deregulate at any cost.
Even to decimate agencies like the FDA. An
agency that helps insure save foods for us all.

Also to destroy the environmental agency,
so the government can't protect the quality
of our air and water. All in the name of profit.

This is just two cases, yet people in the
GOP refuse to believe Trump is hurting
anyone. By the time they start suffering
the GOP will try to pass the blame to the
democrats. I just hope unless the GOP
wakes up, they cease to exist as a
power in this cntry.

Is Trump defying his aids and the GOP with his racist remarks
about 4 women congress members? It appears so as Trump continues
to bad mouth them, and claims they are the face of the democrats.
Even with his racist remarks support in the GOP polls went up a bit. So
we can likely expect more of it from Trump.

It's more proof the GOP is no longer the party of Reagan or Lincoln.
It has become a cult of Trump. His supporters want him, even
though he lies, and breaks laws, they like how he stands up
against government norms.  Trump talks the same way  many
people think about government. Down deep many people
don't like favors given to minorities, the poor, immigrants or
homosexuals. They apparently look to Trump, thinking only
he, will work to stop all things they don't like about the
government.

People may not want to admit it, but the movement  in
Germany, Hitler started in the 1930's was based on the
very same thing. He used racism, and hatred of minorities
claiming they were taking jobs, and  unfit of living in the
country, and yes, only the white arian race who is supreme,
should. just as Trump claims only white people love the country,
and more people of color is destructive to our country.

In both cases it's based on fear of change. Several
times white America has stood against immigration.
Mainly the Irish, Italians, and the Jews. The black race
coming here as slaves apparently didn't count as
immigrants,  yet Trump supporters want them to
go home to Africa. The problem is most blacks have
a longer American heritage than most white
people do.

Trump may want to blame the countries problems on
immigrants,  but we need them. It's the diversity they
create that makes our country great, Not Trumps racist
claimes.
