Birds (Somnambulous)
« on: July 26, 2010, 03:46:20 am »
Poem-doodle.

---

Alone in the bright:
  of the early morning dark.
     Sun still below,
        (yet still somewhat above).
          Birds on telephone wires,
            singing their songs,
call and response hymnals, or a
        eulogy for dissonance,

    for the scenery, now
enveloped, destroyed, eaten away by the
fog (making everything seem distant, vague, like you, like me,
            like the places
              we'd always stay).

Or, perhaps,
   some form of somnambulatory reprise,
     an arpeggio for dreams,
       a reveille for every dreamer.

I love this poem.

Especially the rhythm. It's almost hypnotic to read out loud.

lol I find the musical terms cliche, but it definitely adds a nice touch to it. My kudos to you, friend.
