Poetry and Story Commissions -- Pick Your Price!
« on: July 19, 2010, 11:25:00 am »
So I woke up today and found that my bank account is empty.  While this normally isn't too much of a problem, I realized I'm only working about 15 hours a week.

In other words, I need money, and I have time to write.

I realize that not many people have made money at all with the fandom, so I wanted to open up commissions in a different way -- you give me a request for either a poem or story, and I'll create one.  After that, you determine how much the poem is worth.  I'm putting the minimum at $1, but you can go anywhere up from there if you so desire.

For these commissions, feel free to be as vague or specific as you wish.  You can be as vague as giving me a single word to write about, or you could give me a full description of a scene and fursonas.

Here are examples of different things I've posted here thus far (and if you want to see more, peruse the depths of the poetry corner ;)) :

Poetry

"To Kayle Storm"
-- a request from Kayle.

"The Ballad of McMajik" -- a request about McMajik's fursona.

"The Sestina of Edward the Fiend" -- a poem I did back in December of 2007.  Wow... it's been a long time, and my writing has changed a lot, but I like the story feel that it has.

Maenam (inspired from the music on Braid)

Rock dashed across water
Like fingers skipping up an arm.
The river still slides between banks
Too muddy to walk on.

I see a heron clench his feet around
A branch hanging over the river,
Casts his eyes toward me.
Neither he nor I move.

His blue-gray feathers lightly ruffled
Yet smooth, like a piece of velvet
Rubbed the wrong way, his tapered
Beak glinted with beads of water.

But what does he see?  A sun-browned
Man, hair standing up as if licked by a cow,
Green and blue wrapping body,
Metal frames perched on nose.

Or maybe he sees the boy that
Loves water but hates rain,
That skips across cracked sidewalks
The same way trees dance in the wind,

Bending left and right, jingling
His shaking limbs.  But all I see
In the mirror (always the same)
Is a face

Feeling around for a hand-hold
To finish scaling sandstone walls.
The sky quivers, but the boy (the
Man?) holds on.

Stories

"The Runt" -- a second-person story about coyotes.

Anyway, if you wish, either post here or contact me.  I'll be sure to reply as soon as possible. :)

...I've been thinking about it, and I think I'm interested. :)

WRITE ME A STORY, FOX-BOY! AND MAKE IT FUNNY! :D I think you have a great sense of humor and an eye for the absurd, so I am curious what will fall out of your head, lol.

You can find my description here. I'm really looking forward to this. :)

Hee hee!  I've got one ahead of you, but after I'm done with that, I'll definitely do one for you.  :)
