general non-furry discussion / What do you want for Christmas?
« Last post by Kobuk on Today at 06:33:02 pm »
Exactly as the thread title says.
What does everybody want for Christmas?

I'll go first:

My mom doesn't get out and about as much as she used to. I just asked for Gift Cards from her. Ones for Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kohls, Best Buy, Walmart, and a few other places.
There's at least 2-3 model kits I want, but I'll have to unfortuneately wait till tax refund time to get them.  :'(
Gave my best friend a list of DVD and Blu-Ray movies I am missing. I hope he picks some good titles to get me.

So, what's on everybody else's list?

Just did part of my Xmas shopping. Normally, I'd head out to brick and mortar stores as I'd rather give them the business instead of buying online. But since my mom mostly wanted books and movies for Xmas, I had to shop online at Amazon instead of Barnes & Noble since I haven't renewed my B&N membership in quite a while. B&N prices are quite expensive if you don't have a membership.

Here in the UK, our bats do not get classical rabies but they do get EBLV (European Bat Lyssaviruses)
A Scottish bat worker has died of ELBV, but it in itself is uncommon; it's only found in certain types of bats, and at an exceptionally low level compared to the overall number of bats that we have in the UK. But, better safe than sorry etc.

All bat carers have to be fully vaccinated against rabies - and registered on the UK Bat Care Network - before they can be listed as being available for bat care.
Trump and the  GOP have been trying hard to get rid of the ACA.
(Obamacare) So fewer people are using it. Now there are cheaper
plans out there that don't give good coverage. So as in the past
people will find out the hard way that they still owe a lot of money
after they get out of the hospital. They can thank the friendly GOP
and Trump for their monetary headaches.

Trump got over 100 million dollars in donations for his inauguration.
The special counsel is looking into who gave the money. Checking
to see if any was foreign money which would be illegal. Also he is
checking to see where the money went. Less than 30 million was
spent on the inauguration it's self, so that leaves over 70 million
in someones pocket.

President Trump is trying to say his lawyer made the decision to
pay off the pkorn star he visited with. Well I don't think we can
believe anything Trump says. He has lied over 6000 times since
he took office. Besides Trump has a history of not wanting
anything done without his personal approval.

Trump is still looking for a cheif of staff. With all the problems
Trump  has made for himself it's not surprising he is having
trouble finding someone to  work for him in the white house.
There is some rumers that Trump will pick his son n law to
do the job. Talk about a family business. We need laws that
prevent this kind of thing. Trump seems to worry that he can't
trust anyone but family. Makes one wonder what Trump is trying
to hide.

Ha ha, yeah maybe no money involved.
I think I know what you are referring to Loc, very rigorous scientific studies in laboratories, video recorded as well.

So if anyone was to try, it would only ever be a game.  And if anything came out of it, it wouldn't carry any weight.
But it might be fun to see what happens.... If I did that, would it be a word game?

People have done experiments like this with large amounts of money as a reward for anyone who can reliably demonstrate they have ESP.

The rewards have always gone unclaimed.
