the polling booth / Genetic information?
« Last post by Jade Sinapu on June 24, 2018, 08:46:31 pm »
Once genetic information is sequenced and put into a database for matching ancestry, it's  doubtful it can be erased.  What do you think?

Would you send DNA to a service such as those who promise to genetically sequence it and match it to tell you who you are related to?
Do you care if the information is out there?
Would you have anything to hide?
Would you be concerned about a company secretly selling data to insurance and law enforcement?
Would you be afraid they will find out you are not 100 % human and seek you out for horrible experiments? x_x

I vote a strong no!  No one needs my genetic info, it's unremarkable.

Besides I have a family tree record on paper dating back to maybe 1579 (Who cares)
To one "James Fitzmaurice Fitzgerald, Munster Ireland"

(Hopefully he wasn't a bad guy)

The ice cream truck is back. And you can hear the same tune being played over and over for hours.

news forum / Re: Trump the GOP and Democrats. A new path or more of the same.

Zero tolerance is what President Trump wants. To protect our
country from MS13. Turns out only one immigrant in 1000
has any ties to this gang. MS13 was started in this country and
moved them to  central American by the Clinton administration.
There they grew into a crime organization.

Immigrants have a legal right to declare they need personal
protection from oppression and murder. But Trump wants to
be re elected in 2020 so he will say anything to get his way.
Do anything to get his way even to seperate parents from their
children with his lies.

The far right doesn't want anyone but lilly white people to
settle in this country. It's n othing but biggitry and racism.
This is a last gasp because they know this country is moving
toward people with darker skin, and people who want a right
to love who they choose.

Trump tries to tell us that Latinos are criminals, but boarder
cities with Mexico are the safest in the country. Places that
have the greatest percentatge of Latin immigrants.

If we don't vote to curb Trump and his cronies we may
loose our rights. One party rule is a dangerous game. No
matter which party it is. History has shown one party rule
is distrouctive as it goes to far. Moderation is the only way
to rule.

The far right will want to tell us all what we can or can't
do. Just like conservative leaders around the world do.
Putin in Russia, China, N Korea, syeria, Iran, Saudi arabia.
I could go on, but people in theses counntryies only live at
the pleasure of their government. It could happen here even if
you don't believe it. Hitler took over Germany this way. Then had
millions killed because he didn't think they deserved to live.

Trump claims this is saving the goverment a lot of money. Well
the opposite is true. Millions are being spent. What used to cost
less than 100 dollars a day to hold immigrants now is over 800
dollars a day under Trumps zero tolerance.

Apparently Trump sent his wife to Texas trying prove the media is
misleading Americans. To show the kids were happy and well treated.
If this is the case why is the government trying to  keep the media
from taking videos inside the holding areas for these kids?
