Thank you Varg the wanderer, and Old Rabbit! I'll be sure to respond to the questions to break the ice!

Mind telling us how you happened upon our friendly community?
I searched on google for 'furry forum' and furtopia and furaffinity were the two most popular links -- so I went ahead and signed myself up!

How long have you been a furry / known about the fandom?
Oh man.. well, I started hanging around forums and having characters with animalistic features from 12/13. They always had something! Tail(s), wings, you name it! I've never gone to a furry convention, though. I've somewhat kept up with everything for the last 15 years.

Do you have a fursona? If so, what is it?
I do! Or, I should say I did. I haven't made her itteration in a long time. She was a lamb/succubus and she was very dear to me, but as I've grown up I feel like I've grown out of her too. This is her headshot from awhile ago.

What interests you about the anthropomorphic (furry) fandom?
I like the freedom. I like the expression. I believe we all have something in us that reminds us of our animalistic behaviors and some of us just choose to identify a little more firmly with them. Animals cannot deny who they are, they have behaviors that are unique to their species through learned and evolved behaviors. Sometimes associating with those behaviors can help come to terms with yourself and understand you are who you are for reasons. That's why, although I do not fully identify as a furry, I do believe that I have the soul and spirit of many animals with me -- from my reincarnations or otherwise, and this time around I just happened to be placed into the body of a human!

It appears Trumps meeting with the N Korea leader is on track. Tim
will tell how it goes when they actually meet. Trump claims to be a
great negotiator, but from what I have seen Trump seems to be weak
when he meets strong leaders.  Trump is a big man on twitter or in
front of a friendly audience, but not so sure of his self among people
like Putin or the leader of China.

Not to say he should act like a bully, but stand up for what he believes.
People may not agree, but they usually respect others who stand up for
them selves. If Trump flip flops around they will try to control him.

Trump met with Japans leader, who was disturbed by the singular meetings
with N Korea. Trump needs to work with our allies in the region or we
harm relations with a deal that doesn't adress their concerns.
Trump has been president for over 14 months and he doesn't seem
to have any real plans or policies. He seems to fear loosing support of
the far right. Each time he hears a complaint from them he backs
up and follows their lead. Trump is more of a follower than a leader.

Hopefully he doesn't let the N Korean l eader talk him into a bad
deal. I am sure Trump would love to return and talk about a great
deal he made. No matter how bad it might be. It's likely the N Korean
leader will promise a lot, but will he follow it up? In the past they have
made promises then broke them later. We need people in N Korea to
see that they do keep their promises. If they block inspections of
their nuke and missile program, there would be no way to verify
their claims.

Hello Efurrybody!

It's a pleasure to make your acquaintances. My name is Ramona, though I rarely go by it -- my friends and relatives call me Ram (like ROM), or Ramon (RAH-Mohn), and I've been going by Rammy online for a very long time. When I was younger and in mypreteen/early teenage years, I frequented Furcadia and met really wonderful friends (whom, sadly I didn't stay in touch with), and as I grew up I became more frequently involved in the art community. Unfortunately, because of stresses and other dumb adult stuff, I completely blocked myself off from the community and the internet hahahah.

Thankfully, I'm back, and I want to integrate myself in again, produce some more art, maybe even get commissions to support my extracurriculars! (Please read, the gym, and maybe video games).

My fursona originally was a little lamb, short, bright fuschia pink hair with blonde and blue highlights and a cute red ribbon around her neck. Buuuuut that was 2003-2010.

Now, I'm not sure! I identify much more with strong animals, like oxen or bears, but I love flight and believe very much that barn owls are my spirit animal. So *SHRUGS* maybe I'm a winged sun bear.

EITHER WAY. It's really exciting stepping into everything again. I may lurk and take some time to spread my wings (haha) but please don't take my timidness the wrong way!

President Trump continues to throw his own people under the
bus so to speak. His ambassador to the United Nations had said
there were more sanctions to be placed on Russia. Then Trump
turns about and contradicts her to say there are enough sanctions
onRussia and had no plans to add more.

It's no wonder why there are few if any good people in Trumps
administration. What experienced person would want to risk
their reputation working for someone like Trump?

GOP House GOP members continue to resign. I wonder how
many will be running for election this fall. Only time will tell.

The book written by the ex director of the FBI is causing
Trump a lot of consternation. Trump seems to think everyone
in government should bow and kiss his boots. If they don't he
fires them or calls them playground names.

The director of the FBI is supposed to follow the law and the
constitution, not to be loyal to the president personally.

The ex director said he felt H Clinton would win, and was afraid
her presidency would be harmed if the investigation had come
to light afterwards.  I guess he failed to remember that congress
could impeach her if it turned out she was guilty of breaking the
law. Politics should never be a concern of the FBI. That's what
we have  congress for.

Trumps lawyer is trying to get the search warrant invalidated in
court. He wants to decide what should be protected under the
lawyer  client  protection rule instead of the  Justice department
and the FBI. The warrant was about his business not the President
so it has no effect on client protection. Hopefully the judge rules
to protect the warrant, and not the lawyers business.

By the way Trump traveled to Florida again. There goes another
3 million tax dollars so Trump can play golf.  All his supporters
should be happy. Personally I think there are many people who
would have a much better need for the money.

Two more batches of bread this weekend. Still loving every minute of it. Made a batch of oatmeal cookies earlier last week. They're gone. Been taking them to work to snack on. Way better for me than that grease ladened stuff sold out of vending machines. Be making a batch of those today. Along with my first try at a fruit bread. Unlike a coffee cake you use yeast and let the dough rise just like a normal loaf of bread would.

The only thing I did different with the RAT technique today was to let the dough rest one more five minute time. Just to see if there was any difference in the final product. Nothing changed in the loaf. But I did have to let the dough rise a bit longer in the pans. Possibly due to letting it rest one more time derring kneading. There's only so much starch available for the yeast to munch. The lower the supply the longer it takes for the loaves to rise.

I started both batches of bread with a poolish. The first was a normal 6 hour poolish. The second I addd more flour to it after two hours and only let it ferment for a total of four. Both times I only used a teaspoon and a half of yeast. Instead of the full two and a quarter teaspoons you would get out of a package. I used less yeast because they would multiply derring the ferment time in the poolish. As most of you know I buy my yeast by the pound now. Even using less per loaf I really doubt this first pound will last me a year. Love me some home made bread!

GOP Speaker Paul Ryan is resigning. A man who has worked to cut
taxes for the rich and get rid of the safety net for the poor, disabled,
and elderly. A favorite of the billionaire class. A millionaire who will
retire with a large pension paid by the government. He is leaving after
increasing the deficit by 1500 billion dollars due to the GOP tax cut
for the rich.

The GOP has been against government help for the poor, disabled and
the elderly due to their conservative views.  They believe people who
are poor are leeches on society. Not all republicans feel this way, but
enough do to be a threat to anyone who is destitute.

A 100 years ago people who found them selves poor or old without
the money to survied had to live on the streets, and in filthy homes
for the poor and elderly. Then only if they were available. People had to
depend on the generosity of others to survive. Some people prefer
to live on the street rather than jumping through the hoops the
government puts up to get aid.

It would be cheaper if the government set a minimum income for
all than having all those government agencies that  work to make
sure the person asking for help is eligible. Each time the GOP does
create a aid program it usually makes the person it helps to become
more dependent than helping them get off government aid. I am
sure the GOP and others would cry some people would just sit and
do nothing, but not  so much if the minimum income was just
enough to exist, and  not take it away when they made a dollar.

Also this would do much to help small businesses with all the
spendable income that would be  available.

President Trump has been beside him self since his lawyers offices
were investigated. Also he is mad about the book the FBI director
he fiired has written about him. Trump never likes it when people
tell the truth about him. He only wants people to do what he tells
them to. Even if it's to lie.

If Trump would just ignore all these problems there would be a lot
less unfavorable news about him, but his immense ego won't let him
leave it alone. He still worries over how he was elected, and that he
didn't win the popular vote. He administration has had more changes
in personal than most any other in such a short time. mostly due to
bad choices, lack of expected loyalty and corruption.

Seems Trump just doesn't understand how government works. He
appears to think as president he is all powerful. Then when someone
says No. He gets mad, and calls the person names just as some kid
would do. We are in the hands of a spoiled rich kid that has never
had to grow up. The GOP membership is afraid they will loose their
seats uf they turn agaubst gun, I think this is why so many have
decided not to try for re election  in the mid term election.
