President Trump had a news conference with the president of France
who is willing to work with Trump on a new deal with Iran. Trump
apparently finds the French President to his liking as he was all grins
and smiles as he shared the news conference with him. Trump is still
running down the deal Obama made with Iran. I wonder if the leader
of N Korea will trust Trump if he breaks that deal?

Trump likes to complain about all the money we gave Iran as part of the
deal Obama made.  Trump fails to mention it was Irans money to begin
with. I think he repeats it trying to make himself look smart.

Trump bad mouthed others in the European Union on trade. Making
public statements like this doesn't help. Deals are best worked out
in private as other leaders have to honer their own commitments.

Trump was asked if he planned to pardon his personal lawyer who is under
investigation. Trump called it a stupid question and imoved on. Does this
mean Trump plans to pardon him? Time will tell.

It has been reported that the White House physician drinks too much and
over prescribes medication.  If these reports are true he would have no
business running the Veterans administration.  This is the same man who
said Trump was in fine physical condition. Hopefully the wasn't stretching
the truth for Trumps benefit.

Seems Trump never does any background checks before he appoints people
to important government office. Just goes with his gut I guess.  Well his gut
often blows more hot air than  making good choices..

I must admit in the past our country was often called a paper tiger. Perhaps
Trumps tactics may change that view. Who can say, but time will tell. We can
only hope Trump knows what line he shouldn't cross. Some people will fight
rather than to back down. It's a shame our leaders don't have to lead the
army when they threaten to start a war. I have a hunch they would look
for a peaceful solution if that was the case. Over the past half century
our presidents have mostly been been under fire, so they knew what our
people in the military are up against. With Trump he avoided the draft with
a claim of foot problems. Yet he plays golf.

H. W. Bush is very ill in a hospital today. Many people often die soon after
loosing their spouse of many years.. I woulldn't be surprised if  president
Bush ldidn't live much longer.  Hopefully he recovers, but time will tell.

Sounds like someone got an offer they couldn't refuse.

I quit using image services a long time ago. I use my own
website. That way you have control over your own data. Of
course unless your running your own server you may still
have to move data.

Have you thought about getting a mixer with a dough hook? It might save your back and your wrist a lot of pain, and with the amount of bread you make it could be worth it financially, too. They aren't too $$ if you get them used, and the kitchenaid variety last forever.

Well it looks like it finally might happen. And it literally took a backside full of mediation. I wasn't able to make bread this weekend. Ended up in the ER with a strained back. Between the shots and meds I slept from Friday to late Sunday night. So for the first time sense last November I had to buy a loaf of bread. It's still in the walmart bag. If I can somehow manage to get a few loaves off I feed this bread to the birds. But right now there's no way I'll be able to lean forward and knead bread dough. What I can talk about is that apple bread I made. To assemble the bread the recipe said to roll the dough out to an 18 by 18 square. Sprinkle all the apples, brown sugar and all. Then fold this up and cut it into one inch chunks. Did just that. So imagine trying to keep brown sugar and eggs together. This got sloppy real quick. The recipe said to scoop this stuff up and place it in the well lined bread pans. First i'd like to say the bread was great. The reason I could taste the bread is because all the apples went to the bottom and all the brown sugar and eggs seeped out to the bottom and sides. So it was a bit like eating bread with a bit of apple pie. I plan on making the bread part by itself because it was really good bread. But I don't think I'll be making this apple thing again.

The bread recipe is really close to my go to recipe. The main difference is it has a higher hydration and cooks at a higher tempt. These two things alone give this bread a different flavor. Bread is unique because cooking times and temperature actually change the flavor of the bread. It's going to be fun to see how this bread turns out without all the apples and stuff in it. Hopefully this weekend. Will have to see how this old body is coming along.

news forum / Re: Trump the GOP and Democrats. A new path or more of the same.

It seems President Trump is out to distroy or disrupt
anything Obama did or tried to do. This includes the
Treaty with Iran on nuclear weapons. In May Trump
will need to approve an extension of this treaty with
Iran. If Trump fails to do so will the leader of N Korea
feel he can trust any deal Trump makes. Only time
will tell.

Trump is already trying to say N Korea has agreed to
get rid of it's nuclear weapons, but this is wrong or
a lie by Trump. The N Korea leader has promised to
stop working on nuclear weapons and missils to see
what deal he can make with Trump.

Trump is trying to brag he is responsible for the N Koreans
agreement to meet with him. Actually I think it's China
who is telling the N Korean leader to meet with Trump. A
war with N. Korea would cause massive numbers of
refugees to leave N Korea for China.  I really doubt
if China wants to deal with that.

I hope a deal to rid N Korea of nuclear weapons is
possible, but I doubt if Trump can accomplish it.
If he does I will give him full credit for doing so. I
will give him full credit if he blows it up too. I don't
think Trump has the patience to do so. He wants
instant success.

Trump is calling for voters to put more republicans
in congress even though the GOP controls both
houses now. He claims the Democrats ore obstructing
his work even though he and the GOP control government.
I am sure if the democrats take the house this fall he
will try to claim any failure of his will be due to the
democrats.

If the democrats try to impeach him he will call it a
witch hunt. Since it would take a 2/3 vote iln the
senate to kick Trump out it's likely he will stay till
2020 unless enough GOP members vote to do so.
I doubt if there are enough GOP members with the
backbone to  turn against Trump for anything.

Not as long as over 70% of registered republicans
support him.

The main reason the GOP has control is due to
republicans having a greater interest in voting
than many democrats do. otherwise the GOP
would stay in the minority.
