32 feet of multi branch evergreen garland. 12 feet of realistic looking holly garland and a glass teddy bear ornament. All under $20 total at a local thrift store. I've used the holly garland. Will have to wait till next year to find a place for the evergreen.

Went out today and did a bit of my own Christmas shopping for myself. I had two coupons (Plus my B&N membership.) to Barnes & Noble, and also two coupons to Kohl's.
So I bought the 2-disc Blu-Ray 30th Anniversary Edition of the movie "The Right Stuff" which also includes a small 40 page booklet. John Glenn's passing kinda reminded me that I used to watch this film long ago and I really liked it. :)
Also picked up the 2-disc DVD Platinum Edition of the sci-fi/fantasy movie "Pan's Labyrinth" which is supposed to be really good, and is from director Guillermo del Toro.
And from Kohl's, just bought a new winter hat and a new long sleeve sweatshirt. I had hoped to use my Kohl's coupons instead for a new pair of boots. But the brand/style I like won't be back in stock again till maybe after the 1st of the new year. :(

for myself, a book on drawing landscapes in pencil. Not really something I really need. I've drawn stills, portraits and plenty of landscapes when I was a lot younger. However this book drives the idea of tonal studies. I'm hoping this will help my in my water color paining

A clearance-priced red-dot sight at Cabelas. A plank of basswood from the Super Joann's--used a 50% off coupon there. Before that, I found a WW2-era field jacket, with hood, at the Goodwill store that I will definitely resell online.

Today I bought brand new. A temperature probe, a stand alone thermometer, larger chimney charcoal starter and two boxes of extra large heavy duty aluminum foil. Bought used from a few thrift stores. Huge BBQ tongs, spat and fork. A very heavy duty pan to use as a drip pan. One small loaf pan that will be used as a water pan. Tomorrow I'm picking up a brand new Weber Master Touch 22-in Kettle Charcoal Grill. This will replace my old Webber bent out of shape and legs falling off grill. I got this grill really cheap at an auction years ago. It will go to a good new home soon.  I learned how to properly cook with indirect heat on this old beat up thing. Now it's time to move to the next level. Smoked hole turkey. large low and slow beef roasts. Brisket and lots of great chicken, hamburgers and stakes. Gona be a smoking good summer!

Change of plans. Didn't get the master touch Webber. Got the Premium instead. The MT had features I didn't want and cost $50 more. I was able to buy the only feature the MT i wanted separately.  It was $15. So I saved $35 and got exactly what I want. Also got some wood chips for smoking. Most folks don't know but you need to soak them in water so they don't burn up as fast as cardboard. I got a bag of apple and one of pecan. I can get all the hickory, oak and maple for free. Got friends that cut wood.
