There's a tiny white squarish box (Underneath where it says "Posts") that you can click on to send a PM to someone.

everytime i try to upload an avatar of any size (and they are all appropriate) and click on change profile the screen changes to another screen that says 'sorry the avatar uploader is not writeable'.
this makes me sooo mad.

You have to link it from an image host.

Flickr and Photobucket are current favourites.

That's the option you need. You need to click the radio button just to the left of it to select it. Once the URL is in place in the box to the right of it click Change Profile and you're done.

It can be found here: http://irc.furtopia.org

If that goes down though it doesn't always mean the IRC is. You can access it from stand alone clients as well. I personally use Icechat for this.

All the RP threads are free to join into. I would recomend however that you read through a couple pages if its a story based RP and decide if its right for you or not. Sometimes some folks (I've done it myself) will hop into an RP in the middle of a long plot arc and loose thier way in the large ammount of text walls and such and will not read up on the events in progress so you have a character that joins and then just goes nowhere. As someone wanting to join an RP such things can be disquieting and put you off from other threads.

Yeah, looking at the forum statistics, Word Games are BY FAR the most popular board. Since they were originally made for fun, I'm willing to bet that nobody expected word games to become as popular as they are, so if they counted, a member could potentially stack his or her post count to ridiculously high number within a couple of weeks for 1 or 2 word posts, not pertaining to any real discussion.

ok. word games don't count . . . but what about greetings? i did like 2 greetings. it says 98 now. i posted in something that's not word games but it didn't count for some reason . . .

The only forum where post counts do not count is the Word Games forum. Otherwise, all other posts in any other forum should be ok.

I used to remember long ago when people actually came here to Furtopia to discuss topics and post art. But now? I wish we never had the word games forum.
