Though I don't really think its nessesary to say, for clarity sake, I am not a plushophile. I wouldn't exactly consider myself a "plushie" either. However, I have recently become quite attached to my one and only plushie, a Timberwolf named Evellyn.

I started bringing it to school as a joke and she eventually became quite popular. After a few weeks, I realized that I kind of enjoy having her company. It stopped being a joke completely. I carry it to school on most days and it is accepted by all of my friends as "interesting" if not slightly eccentric. My mom isnt particularly fond of it.

Whatever the case, has anyone else ever had a mild attachment to a plushie at some point in their lives. Care to share?

i wish i could do that with my old stuffed orca, but it was way too big

I have a giant white striped tiger. Was a carnival prize me and my best friend won at Six Flags. We both have ours in our room ^^ ... well I don't at the moment because this partition is too small, but guess where it's going when I can do it...

It's too big and stiff to sleep with but someday I hope to have it by my nightstand.

I love my plushies, but especially one in particular that I made by hand. I'd take him everywhere if I could, but I usually leave him home. I'm afriad he'd get dirty or torn up. But no, it's not abnormal, being attached to a plushy, that is.

I've always loved plushies and stuffed animals. The first one I ever got attached to was a brown bear that I found when I was about three after one of my parent's friends died. He was my best friend at the time, so I was quiet upset. After I found the bear I named it after him and I still sleep with it to this day. I took him to school a few times, but I don't any more.
And my current fave is a bunny plushie my boyfriend gave me. <3 I started taking him with every day. And not just to school. I basicly take him EVERY where. lol.

Didn't want to start a new one, & this one isn't quite 2 yet  ;)

I have a bunch of stuffed animals at home, one is a white teddy bear I got for Christmas when I was 3. That makes him 22 now ( :o over drinking age!). Never took him with me on deployments when I was in the Army, I didn't want to lose him. Last deployment (to Iraq) I made a fox out of desert camo fabric and OD green uniform buttons to take with me. Maybe I can find pics of him later...

Closed as this thread is two years old. There is a newer thread to discuss plushies here:
